Is your LC folder in the program files folder (or any of the other default Windows locations)? If so, try moving it to c:\gtalc or something.

Windows 64-bit protects files in those locations from being changed, even if you did everything else right. Weird.

I got bugs in the DeLorean transformation. The bug dislays when delofly is switched to delodrv. The DeLorean doesn't stop hovering when it is switched to driving mode. A few directional pressess make it work though.

I had this bug before. Just extract all in VC folder, not every file in their respective folder. And copy gta3 audio from your GTA III excepy sfx.sdt and sfx.raw. OR use blank audio folder in the update.

i followed the installation instruction and when i click on start new or load a previous save the game crashes and i get an unhandled exception error i was curious if anyone could help biggrin.gif


EDIT: I now just get this 'Unable to get data for Personal'...? am i missing something or is th mod missing something mercie_blink.gif

I'm pretty sure you have a wrong version of VC EXE or launching via gta-vc.exe at all. I found this mod perfectly stable and this could be the only reason.

is it possible to just send us the mod already well and what not up to the step to shove em in the folders and we just stick it in the correct folders

I guess they will release 3.2 yet though, with fixed cutscenes, menus, HUD and Airport Aggression mission (devs, it crashes!).

It all depends on how things go in everyone's real life. My life is always crazy busy with a full-time job and two young boys to raise. Plus my video card died in desktop, so I can barely even play the mod anymore.

If ModelingMan gets the time and resources, I'm sure he wants to finish the things he was working on. If that day comes, I'm sure somebody (maybe even me) can organize the files into a proper (Final) release.

And I think the plan if we get to that point is to release a 3.2 beta and let the public test it for a while. Then patch up the little bugs and call it GTA:LC Final v1.0 (or something like that).

Also, do you have any ideas where the remaining two submissions were meant to be played? I'd like to restore them aswell.
This mission really needs to be rewritten from scratch, but I won't do it as I want to keep compatibility with old saves.

I feel it'd be more than an unofficial mod, considering parts of this stuff were meant to be playable. I even recall Craig's post about Airport Aggression being "the only added submission".

I, for one, would really like to see it released - as part of the "official GTA:LC", as that mission (in its unpolished state) has been included with the mod for a VERY long time.

I see, as the code is obviously partially from Mission Builder or so tounge.gif

Fine then, I will release it tomorrow. Source code anyone?
Also, "official GTA: LC" would implement it in a bit different way, as I've used some dirty tricks to keep old saves compatibility. 3.2 would have it made much simplier.

Most of the code should still be in Barton's old, low-level syntax - the switch to Sanny's syntax (and higher-level coding possibilities) happened after the missions and other SCM issues were already done.

OK, so here it comes (not sure if I should post it here though).

I've included a little map showing where the bikes are parked.
This fix/mod/patch/whatever is compatible with old saves, but they won't be compatible with original main.scm no more after using it, so please do backups!

I've also left some space inside the SCM just in case you'd want to add anything yet and still keep compatibility.

Gongratulations. This is a Great Modification for Vice City.
I think the hard work is already done, just need to fix some bugs (map, missions), but it still cool even if you dont fix it. smile.gif
Just one thing that is bothering me and it's the traffic. I've been trying to change it but it will never be like the original game. Or we have too many peds on the street or too many vehicles... sad.gif

Hello! Probably found a bug:

Completed the first mission. I noticed that the level of crime does not rise more than two.

That's a bug that's happened on rare occasions to people for quite a long time. But we've never been able to consistently reproduce it or see anything in the code that would limit the wanted level.

Can you repeat the bug with a new game?

Since GTA3 Mobile has skeletal animation system and human models similar to Vice City and Xbox ones and it seems more friendly than Xbox, didn't you think about getting them and maybe some more stuff from there?

Also, me and Ash added a 10th Anniversary style background - it fits VC style menu much better.

Woo! I now get money for blowing cars up and damaging them, just like in III.

Restored VC weapon spawns as a 100% reward - code was commented out from the SCM; I've enhanced it, so it doesn't break the pickups limits anymore. Still compatible with 3.1 saves, obviously.

I will release my patch soon. I'm thinking about naming it 3.1.5, but not sure if team will be happy with it tounge.gif
