Beta Missions:
Looking For Big Smoke
The Truth Is Out There
All-Terrain Takedown
Tanked Up
Roadside Assistance

Why were they removed?

It depends. Some were just pointless (ex. Tanked Up), some were probably too tedious, and some were probably replaced with other ideas.

I do know that All-Terrain Takedown is the mission Doberman, and I read somewhere that Doberman was actually supposed to be a mission by CRASH to kill another police officer who was going to snitch about Tenpenny & them.

I agree with that. God, I hated Zero's missions when I first played through. I actually couldn't finish the second-to-last one for a while. "Tanked Up" was probably pointless and tedious. Same "Impounded." It likely didn't make a difference at all in the story, and it sounded kinda boring, too.
