Nice to know Seemann has fans and it's also fun to know that people think CLEO 3 must've just been created in a matter of hours with no bugs at all.
CLEO started out as code that you had to put straight into the main.scm... CLEO 3 has 50 opcodes, but CLEO 2 and 1 are often forgotten about. No one seems to understand how while CLEO 3 had 3 releases to make 50 opcodes, CLEO 4 has only one release and 50 opcodes are being added.
That means a longer time to test each one and find bugs for it... Not only that, but Alien is fixing bugs from CLEO 3 and introducing many new ways and methods of using opcodes. Fact is that CLEO 4 has much more dangerous/effective opcodes, meaning there is much more chance of them going wrong. So I'm even impressed with how stable it is so far. My only problems have been when it crashed with fxt (fixed), when new games didn't end CLEO missions (fixed) and
I doubt you even know who Alien is, really. Go around the Russian Sanny Builder forums and you'll find that he's helped with a lot of things already. He was also working on a .cleo plugin that adds loads of new opcodes before he got the source of CLEO. Seemann handed CLEO over to him for a reason
And if you really look around, you'll find he's working on a lot more than CLEO 4. Stuff that will not be taken for granted when you see it.
