The whole thing about Nike paying some of the money for the Ronaldo deal seems total bollocks. Would they really be THAT bothered about him playing in a Nike kit? I mean they already sponsor him and get a sh*t load of publicity from him, plus he already does play in a Nike kit, for Portugal. It just seems ludicrous that they'd pay half, or any money for that matter, just so he's seen more regularly in a kit with a tick on it. It just doesn't make sense to me and seems totally made up. Is there any precedent of any sponsor of any player of any sport, ever financing a move just so the player is in their kit?
Bale and Ronaldo are both very versatile, and they could definitely both play in the same team. Bale is not better than Ronaldo either, so why would Real sell him anyways? It would make them weaker. From the sounds of it the plan is to offload another player, like Di Maria or Modric, who won't be needed when Bale arrives. Real won't be selling Ronaldo, he's just too important to them. And if they were to sell him, I'm sure it wouldn't be for cheap. I certainly can't imagine it'd be less than the Bale fee.
If he's going anywhere, I'd imagine it'd be to PSG. But like I said, I highly doubt he is going anywhere.
