The snowy areas would be a nice change of environment but I can see it getting a lot of hate from some prejudice people.

I'd like to see Toronto, Montreal or Vancouver used as a setting but I can't really say much about anywhere else in Canada as those are the only 3 places I have any knowledge of.

Absolutely sh*t. Everyone knows no crimes a committed in Canada, hell people don’t even lock their doors.

You have to remember that GTA is based on the world according to TV shows, Movies and the media. And in this world nothing bad ever happens in Canada.

Have you ever lived or been to Canada? Most people i know lock their doors. Hell from what i heard the biker gangs are worst up here then in the states. The crime here isn't as bad as the states but there is still f*cking crime here.

In terms of location and environment I'm all for it as it would be a nice contrast from LC but as maxopower said, GTA is based on world famous films and TV shows, which is real stumbling block.

Well, you don't know Canada. I know, the crime is not as important as States but there is in Vancouver, especially on East side. They have a gangs problem and the place is full of drugs dealers. Montreal is a hard city too ! But I must say that Quebec isn't made for GTAs. Not enough criminality.

Well, I think Rockstar will always takes USA cities to make their games.

Well yeah i agree. Vancouver is the best. Rockstar will make settings in USA. Only if they made one with Canadian Cities.

Your not getting this, It’s not about reality, or how Canada actually works. It’s about how Canada is caricatured by the Pop culture. And All of us who don’t live in Canada, Knows nothing about the country besides the things we have learned by watching “Canadian Bacon” and “How I met your mother”

And that’s a very big signature, your signature can’t be bigger then 500x150pix, or it will get disabled

All I've learned from How I Met Your Mother are a few Canadian jokes and how to be a bro! biggrin.gif

But the problem R* would have with Canada would be the lack of iconic status in its major cities other than the CN Tower in Toronto, I don't think I could name any Canadian landmarks off the top of my head.
