I covered it when developing DLC handling, first loaded file takes the lead and the next ones are ignored.

Wow, some of them are really great, did you figure out how to toggle Amazing Screenshot in the DLC dev DLL or used a CLEO version? :p

DLL one is outdated as hell anyway, wouldn't recommend using it.

I used the CLEO version. :p Some issues here and there when taking the screenshots, like police helicopters flying away when you activate it, but it gets the job done.

I recently got SA running on my new computer so I installed this mod (which is amazing, BTW. Far better than the console versions). But whenever I try to update, it never actually seems to download anything. There isn't a crash or anything, but it's stuck in an infinite loop. Are there any solutions?

But whenever I try to update, it never actually seems to download anything. There isn't a crash or anything, but it's stuck in an infinite loop. Are there any solutions?

 

I believe the team has an external updater that might work, the link may be a few pages back... Or you could just wait for one of the team to give you an informed answer :p

Hey, I love this mod, amazing work but your exe file breaks SAAC it seems and i cannot use my controller with your mod. is there a possible way to bake 360 controls into the game? it would be much appreciated; otherwise i will just continue using broken controls.

In your install repertory rename gta-vcs.exe by gta-sa.exe it works for me.

If still doesn't works you should dl VB6 over Here, extract vb6dlls-exe and install it as Admininstrator

For "Truck Stop" the only fix right now is to stop the truck BEFIRE it leaves LittleHa (Little Havana) so you'll have to do some trickery to get in front of the truck and block it.

 

Yes, we're still working on the mod, we've just been busy elsewhere at the moment.

 

@wahgah: We're hoping to do controls at some point to based on Silents GInput work.

I now seems there is a bugs with some CLEO scripts on latest version (Blue Hesper)...

 

1. I started a new game in free roam. I installed following CLEO scripts:

My problem on GTA ViceCity Stories is, after a several in-game hours playing in free roam using installed CLEO scripts I've used them without any crashing, but here is the big problem - for some reason, seems any of the CLEO scripts bugs the game because if I press the Pause/Break key on my keyboard after using it (probably), my game closes immediately! :blink: There isn't a crash, game just instantly exits without any questions after I've pressed said dawn "Pause Break" key, as this bug happens only with pressing that key! None of the other keyboard keys don't causes any similar weird results. I think the "Kill Peds Instantly" CLEO probably causing the problem, but I'm not sure! I got a twice of total that bug! Please fix it! :panic:

2. I've also was trying using these following vehicle scripts:

My problem with these CLEO mods isn't they doesn't work on GTA ViceCity Stories PC Edition, and because for some reason they crashes the game (it stops during using them with an Unhandled Exception error, and then VCS PCE - boom! - just crashes.  :yawn: Weird thing is both of same scripts I'm using on same CLEO version 4.1.1.30F on my original San Andreas, as there they works with NO crashes...  :panic: For that reason I can't use any car spawner or any vehicle related CLEO mods, since I didn't found why a CLEO scripts working normally on normal GTA San Andreas are crashing ViceCity Stories at the same time...

Pause/Break is an emergency key, it IS meant to close your game if it freezes :pp

So I recently bought VCS on the PS3 just to compare, and one thing that really stuck out to me was the coronas for pickups, I was wondering if you guys were ever going to implement this? I think it really adds to the atmosphere of the game, especially in Vice City. Also, I decided to attempt it on San Andreas, I thought it turned out pretty good. (looks more like the Vice City coronas rather than VCS ones) :p

Just to note, pickup coronas should also flicker, just like lightpoles in Red Light District in GTA III. And they don't only have one particle in the middle of the pickup, but also a smaller one moved to the front of the weapon.

To the people talking about the coronas, there is a unused object in San Andreas that is actually the secret package pickups from Vice City. If you spawn them in SAMP they have the original glowing corona, and it spins around.

 

And on a sidenote, i'm not sure if someone else talked about this but will we have this unused slide-door heli for this game?

You know, you could post a pic with that hidden package. I doubt that R* would leave a no more needed object with it's own effect. Actually I thought that every pickup in the game uses single particle mode.

How did you get a sceenshot if it's unused? Any way, I guess it will find it's place.

It won't. This effect resembles III corona rather than VC/VCS corona more.

Believe me or not, really spawning this thingy will cause it to spin and emit the same corona from Vice City.

I spawned it in, oddly enough, it doesn't have a 2dfx section in its .dff, and it doesn't have a 2dfx entry in the IDE's on Vice City.. not really sure how R* done it tbh.

Another thing I noticed, while I was testing blinking for coronas attached to .dff's on SA, there was no way to make it blink like the VC hidden packages which blinks like it does on VC when its spawned on SA.

These are are handled by the EXE per-modelID, no wonder they're not in the DFF.

And as I know where that stuff is in VC and in SA, it shouldn't be too hard. Especially money.

"Chopper" is the vehicle id of that heli.

Yep unfortunately there is no Chopper in the games vehicles.img. I'll be happy to wait though, if i was them i would replace the Sadler sh*t ( beater car ) with the chopper and maybe replace the trashmaster cheat with it.

About the coronas, this is what i found in testapp...

And a little bonus, some text from Vice City. In fact, the Hyman Memorial stadiums interior exists in san andreas, right under the Liberty City chunk. The place lacks collision but the big sandbox has collision.
