The installer probably fails on deleting some files then. Just remove them manually (installer will point out which files it 'failed to install') and run the updater again.

Would be good to doublecheck if entire VCS dir is set NOT to be Read-Only too.

Can you make Grand Theft Auto Liberty City Stories PC Beta like this?This is awesome and I want to play GTA LCS like this.I will be very happy if you make GTA LCS PC BETA because i am searching on the internet for the full GTA LCS on PC or BETA which is underwork no only dead project.Sorry for my bad English i am from Slovakia so I use Google Translator.

Can you make Grand Theft Auto Liberty City Stories PC Beta like this?This is awesome and I want to play GTA LCS like this.I will be very happy if you make GTA LCS PC BETA because i am searching on the internet for the full GTA LCS on PC or BETA which is underwork no only dead project.Sorry for my bad English i am from Slovakia so I use Google Translator.

He's not asking him to drop everything, it seems he's asking that AFTER they finish VCS they do LCS, that's what I think he meant.

Said many times. It is SA engine limitation and not much can be done against it.

Both are not work for me please help:( I got that problem too.

cool the bus one was my favorite side activity in VCS, i did not know you can do this with a truck , it is posible in standard game right ? on ps2 or psp?

also little offtopic:

Is those missions only on ps2 ? because now im playing PSP version on emulator and i cant find the bus in movie studio. :cry: maby it is locked ? i didint finish the story yet.

The one we posted up there, that's a PS2 exclusive one, the Coach one at the film studio doesn't unlock til later in the story.

@MCThug This mod is a conversion of Grand Theft Auto Vice City Stories to PC so uses original GTA VCS textures!

We are using the original textures but we're also taking some textures from Vice City PS2 and editing them (because Rockstar were lazy in some places sticking with PSP 64x64, whilst VC PS2 used 128x128 and PC used 256x256), but we have had people asking for HD Textures, etc, and what with VC 10th Anniversary basically handing HD textures out a lot being bigger than the PC ones offering up to 512x512 textures, I suppose if you really want to work at it, you could do a HD pack for the mod using and editing those textures, we'd send you the original ones as they are from extraction point rather than post DXT Compressed and then you could see what you can do from there on?

 

Or you could have a go at remaking the loading screens in a higher resolution than 512x512, since we've done everything else at twice size in the menu e.g. background being 1024x1024 (which is actually 4x the size), radio icons being 128x128 instead of 64x64, etc.

What about map progress? Something new? 

 

Didn't notice this one, sadly not, I've not heard anything about map progress since the second release of washingtonS was pushed ages ago.

 

On another note, Rush! on PC is awesome, the mission is set to trigger more car spawns in the game for chaos reasons and well yeah, we can handle more, still testing it out and at one point I had a Knockon! X35, really fun.

 

As for missions, sadly Story Missions havn't been worked on more, currently Silent is busy fixing and re-doing a lot of stuff, he's not happy with a lot of Rockstar code so he's re-doing here, but Marked Men has been fixed, so now all missions are passable, Truck Stop is still broken if you take too long to stop the truck, but at least we know the reason why, it's just the case of figuring it out. Side mission progress has come on quite a bit, we've already shown off Rush! Previous side missions have had a lot of small bug fixes and working on the On Screen Graphics to make sure they look right now during the missions to (e.g. Rampages were rushed out and had San Andreas style on screen prompts, etc).

just curious, what program do you guys use for the textures? tried making a hi-res pack before but with no mipmaps the end result didn't look so good

txdworkshop doesn't have mipmaps though, that's why texture mods always look so grainy

IMO it looks good, but if I recall properly, original VCS textures used different colours. The thing is, if it'd be an OFFICIAL HQ/HD textures pack, it should match the original style without major alterations. See Sleeping Dogs.

EDIT:
Texture editing with mipmaps, I'm not 100% positive on that one, but I think Luten/CP are using some sort of builder written by HackMan. I believe he showed the screenshot from it like... 100 pages ago?
