That neon misplacement is also in the PS2 version. Might've been a bug but well who cares.

These vehicles aren't converted yet according to that list in the first post and I think they could save you some work. smile.gif

Thanks for the offer but it's too late at this point to accept them for BETA3 as we'd have to go through them an alter them to match our system and style and really it wouldn't be far off converting them ourselves. tounge.gif

I don't really like your widescreen fix... The minimap is elliptical, it's round originally. The hud on the upper right looks stretched, too, it should be wider. About the FOV: In this video it looks like it's stretched on the sides, like that panorama feature of some TVs.
Well, that's just my opinion, but if you won't "fix" this, you should give us the ability to use ThirteenAGs fix for San Andreas. smile.gif

1) We're using Rockstars ORIGINAL SAN ANDREAS VALUES, ...so if you want to bitch at someone, bitch at Rockstar, San Andreas was broken to as the radar wasn't a full circle, don't believe us, go on, give San Andreas a try right now! It's getting kind of annoying seeing OMG U GUYS SUCK U BROKE THE CIRCLE, when it was Rockstar who broke it in the first place, we've not done any corrections to the radars shape, just put in the aspect ratio corrections. It's not "our fix" that broke it, it's Rockstars original values that broke it, if anything, it proves our fix works as it should!

2) We know the HUD is broke, it's designed for 16:10 on the old method, it's not been corrected since, it's on the to do list.

3) The FOV scales properly to the Aspect Ratio, you're just not used to seeing San Andreas in what it should be, if you set it back to 4:3, you'll be fine. Again, it's a Rockstar mess up, their Widescreen setting zooms into the 4:3 frame rather than expand upon it. Our way is more like the proper GTA IV way.

4) We're not stopping you from using plug-ins, but don't bitch to us if something goes wrong.

1) Yeah, it's Rockstars original San Andreas value, but not Rockstars original VCS value wink.gif I mean, you do everything to make it look like VCS, so why not do it with the radar, too?

2) Alright.

3) No, that's not what I mean. It looks stretched on the edges. Like the panorama feature which some TVs have. It doesn't happen with ThirdteenAGs fix for instance.

4) Yup, maybe 13AG will do a VCS version of his fix, then it wouldn't be your problem anymore wink.gif

Sorry if I seem annoying or something, I just want to help you guys to make the mod as good as possible biggrin.gif

Yes, it's in that video, too. Just look at the cars at 0:14 for example. I think you should ask ThirteenAG about the FOV, he would surely like to help you, I think smile.gif Regarding the HUD: Yeah, maybe R* would have messed up the radar, too, but isn't this mod all about doing it better than Rockstar would? biggrin.gif

I am REALLY not seeing what your problem is, it seems to be related when manually turning the camera? I think you're finding problems that are not there, the game is actually rendering more on the sides, so it has no reason to suddenly stretch it.

And who knows, if it's such an issue I'll happily delay the mod for three months so we can fix it, ...after taking a break of course. tounge.gif

edit: actually saying that out loud, it sounds like a good idea, people are expecting way too much now and I feel like the mod isn't good enough anymore, so a delay til next year might be good.

Well, maybe the old GTAs aren't really compatible with such a high FOV, I've just tested it with ThirteenAGs fix and beta 2 and it looks pretty much the same, maybe a little less stretched... But still better than Hor- wink.gif

edit: I didn't say you should fix it for Beta 3. Just release it as it is, you can care about peoples wishes after you've released it. Just implement those things in Beta 4 or maybe Beta 3.1 or something like that

Say if - you don't finish the missions, will you delay the mod? In my opinion this would be better than have unfinished product, specially missions which are the "real fun" of the GTA games (for me at least).

I'm just not seeing this supposed stretching problem you do, and no one else has ever mentioned it, and thousands of people have seen the videos. We've had radar complaints (people blaming us for Rockstars mistake) and the HUD, which as we said, we've not even fixed, but this "stretching" problem, in all the months we've had it, you're the first person to say anything about it, and I'm looking at the video, and I can't see any actual stretching in the areas you mention.

edit: And to clarify that, we're very nitpicky about certain things, if you're seeing a problem, and I can't then I'm pissed off, because it would be something to fix, but how would we know if we've fixed it, if we can't see it??? We just can't release the mod in that state, ThirteenAG's fix doesn't work here.
