Claude Liberty, a donation is a donation. If you would donate $50 which may seem much to you, it's actually nothing if they have to divide it in the team. To put it simply, a donation is a gesture of kindness towards the mod makers, it's not gonna make them work hours a day more or effect the release in any way.

Let them do, whatever they want to do, personally, I wouldn't mind waiting a little longer to have all the features, but, if June 6th is the final deal, I'll not be angry. And while we'll waiting, let's enjoy this speedrun of VCS:
(Also a very great quality PS2 emulation recording that can be used for comparative reasons when the mod is out!)

Blaster_nl, I don't want them to work day and night, it's just unfair how they work hard for nothing and it really discourages. It's not that they're paid for that work, but that I want to thank them. And I hope I won't be the only one.

What are neons, technically? Are they polygons of night models, whose prelight settings make them shine in dark?

They are separated models with neons' textures. They appear only at night, but hours of their working may be adjusted in IDE files.

Is there any chance you would implement the NPC deaths from VCS in the mod? I don't mean just the animations, but stuff like insta-death with special anim when the target is shot in his leg with M16, etc.... the fact SA lacks it is one of reasons why I prefer the old VC engine tounge2.gif

Nope. We don't know where carcols is hidden (well we do, but, can't get to it), but it's hidden well.

That should explain why the Streetfighter in BETA2 never get its original color, lol

Just look at San Andreas. Tons of stuff hit the cutting table last minute just so they could meet deadlines. Not to mention the numerous bugs left in it. It was an amazing game, but it was pretty unfinished if you compared it to Rockstar original vision for the game.

Just a little sidenote:
- The 2D texture of the heli rotor existed and worked in GTA San Andreas Beta:

At that time the engine was more like the VC one, there were many features of it in the Beta. Like heli rotors.

The game was originally made for PS2, so yeah, it's PS2 footage.

Working SA headlights system looks great. Actually, which modeling style is VCS closer to? Is it III/VC style with flat engines and 5-angular steering wheel? Or more like SA with 3D engine and flat wheel with mirrored texture? I don't even remember if crashed bumpers swing like they do in SA.

It's actually a mix - 3D engines with 3D wheels, it was in VCS so of course we have it too.

I really hope you'll put antennas/pylons on the rooftop(s) to match those lights. Especially if we're gonna be able to fly high. It would make the panorama views more interesting as well.

I don't know who's quote this is from, but you can just use TOBJ to show objects only at night.
