VC was closer to LCS in general term, but I say SA is better rolleyes.gif

@Ash: Very nice add-on. Please consider doing the Rancher as well, it's so stupid that we have FBI and Shark variant but not a civilian variant confused.gif You can use the one I converted for SA as base model biggrin.gif

Why after Cholo Victory mission I don't have more missions. It's like you didn't make it, but you wrote that all chapter 1 is already made...

Other vehicles aren't necessary for now, we'll convert them to BETA4.

I've had a look over the LCS project and I see their team died a couple of times. Im not sure if they still have a team good enough to progress with it.
I think they've finished everything except the map and a couple of vehicles. Xepomath is a scripter and he finished all the missions etc.

I would love to see one day both projects united once they are finished. That's how GTA United was born, LC2SA and VC2SA merged their products.
Although there is one setback in this: If you decide to put both maps in the same world, you'd probably have to extend the limits of the engine like United did and that meant creating a few risks in what touches to stability.
However there is another plausible solution which would be putting one of the maps in a different interior ID or virtualworld, in the same place as the VCS map.
This way you wouldnt have to extend the map limits I believe, and that's what Rockstar Games did on GTA San Andreas when they added some parts of Liberty City to do the Bistro's mission.

So this way you'd have to go to the airport and pick a flight to be teleported either to Vice City or Liberty City, which is pretty much acceptable. And also this way you could have 2 distinct weather types in the same timecyc, since there are individual weather types for their respective interiors.
However, this "merging" thing should only be considered once you've finished your VCS project to 100% and you can't think of anything else to do.

Anyways I'm just thinking out loud... because although it is perfectly possible to do it, you already stated you wouldn't do it so... sad.gif

Yes, I agree with that one, look, we're trying to be as accurate as we can and do things that will benefit Vice City here, in all seriousness, this isn't just some slapped together mod on San Andreas anymore using the same fonts, having you drive around Liberty City with SA peds and listening to K-DST like a lot of rushed projects do, we're styling everything to be VCS like, so if another map were to appear here, it'd be more like that map in VCS, which would still feel wrong.

Excuse me, Im wrong.

Cutscenes from LCS: 100% done (present in beta 3.19)
Peds from LCS: 100% done (present in beta 3.19)
Weapons from LCS: 100% done (present in beta 3.11)
Vehicles from LCS: ~80% done (present in beta 3.15)
Map from LCS: 31% done (present in beta 3.19 & Demo 0.08)
Missions from LCS: 0% done
This is what they've done.

@Ash. Yeah I know this aint no rushing-rubbish mod you're trying to achieve here. In fact I respect the way you're trying to fill in every tiny detail. That's the main reason why Im following this and making these big posts out of nowhere lol.
LCS and VCS were built using the same engine and techniques I guess. You can tell by the way the game looks and runs. A LCS map would look wrong in a VCS environment indeed, but you just have to change the timecyc and let the magic happen by itself.
Anyway I guess we should cut this issue from here as both projects are far from being completed and atm we should focus on the to-do list of your mod tounge.gif
Im just generating ideas.

1) Wouldn't you tell where can I get the very latest version of LCS PC?
2) IMHO, LCS PC Edition should be done on VC engine.

Yes, at the moment the union modification LCS&VCS is not possible, do not discuss it. LCS PC Edition are died five years ago.

About enhanced aspect ratio support. Silent, had you changed how loading screens appear? Because they're always stretched to the display and look wrong on widescreens.

We don't know WHAT to change them with, the art was created for 4:3, so no matter what you change to, if it's not 4:3, it will look bad, and borders look quite amateur-like. We can't do a thing here, the artwork was stretched on the consoles to, so, you'll have to deal with it for those few seconds you see it.

I just thought you could stretch it to move upper part out of screen for it to fit the loading bar. But yeah, it's just a few seconds so we can go with it.

Oh the loading bar? It could be done, but it would be quite fiddly seeing as it would have to match artwork, so we'd have to see how the artwork would look stretched at various ratios and then see where the logo ends up. But again, for something that's on screen for what, 4 seconds tops? We've got a sh*t ton of actual important things to do now in crunch time to the point where that's not a massive game breaker. tounge.gif
