I just finished the game and I think its one of the best GTA's. Thoroughly enjoyed it, the decadence, hedonism and plain entertainment. However, I noticed that some things that were said to be in the game (either through Rockstar or other valid sources) were no where to be found. I apologise if these have been mentioned before but here it is.

Where is the small mission where there is a bomb in Louis's car (presumably left by Margot?) and he has to survive. I remeber this was said.

Why can't we go into Bahama Mama's except for one mission?
What a huge letdown on the part of Rockstar. They made it out to be a fully interactive location on their website.

Where is Tony Prince? He completely dissapears off the face of the earth with no explanation whatsoever.

Also, it was said (by Rockstar themselves) that you would have to make difficult choices in the game right from the start where you either have to choose to help your mother or Tony. Yeah right. Where are the choices? There are none in the game which I came across. Is there something I'm missing?

I can't remember anything else at the moment.

All in all, good game but it kind of felt rushed and a bit unfinished. They could have at least added 30 missions this time.

Anyway just my 2 cents.

The "difficult choice" at the beginning turned out to be nothing but choosing which mission strand to start first, Tony's or Mom's. Rockstar was hyping the non-linear storyline that GTA fans take for granted but which I guess might seem fresh to someone who never played GTA.

well i presume they removed that mission because luis could, you know, just get out of the car. there would be a lot of flaws with it.

and second point, it was jeronrimo who said that right? he isnt exactly the most trustworthy sorce from rockstar, and he said a few things about TLAD which were nevr true. im guessin he was just ill informed.

Thanks for the info. I thought I was missing out on something or I played the game in a different way, but now I know there is only one fixed storyline concerning Luis' ma and Tony.

What a pity. I was looking forward to that the most, because I thought that the choice would mix things up each time you played through the story. Overhyeping is a crap marketing strategy. Just lets the consumer down in my opinion. Still love the game though tounge.gif

For the record they never said anything about difficult choices with your mom and gay tony.... Geoff said that and jeronrimo said "It's possible" or something, he can't say "no" and he can't say "yes" because Rockstar are very secret of their stuff so he just says stuff like "it's possible, maybe"

I was pretty dissapointed too. For example: when Rocco and Vince tell you to shoot Tony. I was expecting a choice between killing Tony or not.

A nicer way of saying what Safety Catch said is: "Try and post something that isn't one word. It's considered spam."

I hope i can post this in this topic, but another mission R* took away from us was seemed to be the one where in the cutscene for Yusuf, you see the blue Bullet GT and the red Tampa following a train on the tracks, and the train blows up next to the Bullet GT.......like, to be honest, i was looking forward to that mission, and when i had completed Yusuf's missions, i was thinking "Wtf, this aint right"

Yeah but that might not be the case, well (can't be the case) and the reason beeing is because in that mission you drive either the buffalo or the schafter, no tampa or Bullet GT, and also the fact that no one is driving with you in that Bang Bang mission, your by yourself.

Incorrect, in that mission you can drive what ever car you want. Bullet or Tampa, or a mr. tasty if you want to.

the mission is "bang, bang"

yes but first you would have to find them, and however long you take chews up the time to get to add up to your score, and besides, my point is that in the trailer, there is someone driving with you in the Tampa while Luis is in the Bullet, but that's not the case in Bang Bang.

It is bang bang,

if you look at this picture: http://s685.photobuc...rent=5jxzj6.jpg
- The bridge is the exsact same as in bang bang.
- You can choose which car you want to drive.
- You can see the top of Luis' hair.
- You can see that the train is blowing up. why is it blowing up? because there is stiky bombs on it, what other explaination is there??

That doesn't explain the other car though! Who's driving with Luis?!

False promises? That seems to be a description of GTA IV in general...

Nothing was ever promised. GTA3 had that trailer where the Yakuza was in Salvatore's place. Did people freak out over that? Forget everything you learned about the game before the game is released and you'll get a satisfying game.

If you don't like the game, we really don't care.

On topic: As with any Grand Theft Auto, there are bound to be disappointments, but all in all The Ballad of Gay Tony is by far the best DLC I've ever played.

Despite all that was said yet left out, it is still a great game with more than a few surprises. Worth buying.

I don't recall where I read this, but I read SOMEWHERE that the missions were meant to be somewhat longer than in the two previous installments. Whether this was a credible source or not, I cannot tell you. Regardless, these claims were clearly not apparent in the actual game. I jumped into the game expecting 20 minute long action packed missions. Silly me!
