In GTA V we need to see the return of garages because they look better, you can store more cars and most importantly you don't lose your cars. They should never have taken them out imo.

What do you guys think?

Most importantly you don't lose your cars.

Seeing as I can't count how many cars I lost in the garages of Vice City and San Andreas on all my hands and feet combined, and that I to this date haven't lost a single car from any of the parking spaces in IV, I voted in favour of keeping the parking spaces.

Well we should get both: parking spaces for a quick drop-off/pick-up and garages for precious prize vehicles.

A whole parking lot you can buy and store like 100 cars inlove.gif

Wow...

No offense, but hasn't it ever occurred to anybody, that GTA IV didn't have garages because because you only see a very very very small amount of garages in a city setting. Mabey that's why GTA IV didn't have them. sarcasm.gif

No need to get defensive. You said they never should have taken them out, so my explanation to that was that garages a far less common in a city setting. It was about realism, not convenience.

Ok fair enough I just meant as in this poll is about the next gta but you are probably right about not being in because of realism but no matter where the next gta is i reckon we need garages or large parking lots would be sick I was thinking of that early tounge.gif /

Yes I agree. I live in a big apartment/extended stay rental building (whatever you want to call it) and no we don't have a garage for each of us, but there is underground parking. Since GTA is most likely to be set in a city setting, they could at least use an underground parking garage like I have, instead of just a parking area that fits 2 cars on the side of the street. And yeah, having an entire parking lot to yourself would be awesome.

I think they should use some garages in addition to the parking bay's from IV.
I also think the parking bays should be found spread around the city and not just outside safehouses. This is partly because it would allow you to store more vehicles in convenient places and also it doesn't reveal locations of safehouse before you earn them.

A similar parking spot should be available for boats and helicopters too.

But there were many suburban areas. Like Alderney or Dukes.

Yeah, and they had garages. At least, Alderny did.

I think have a combiation of both depending on the safehouses obviously. I actually didn't mind the parking spaces in GTA IV. IMO they were more convenient than the regular garages.

Some houses have garages and some have parking spaces. Or both.

I'd like something a bit more similar to Saints Row 2 garages, where you can retrieve a vehicle you have stored, and later abandoned while on the mission or doing something else around the city. That way, you don't have to worry about taking your best ride to the mission.

I personally like the parking spaces because you can store something larger than a garage can hold. If they had Helipads, Docks, and Garages, I would be happy.

Another thing that was nice about SR2 garage system. You had storage for cars, helicopters, planes, and boats. All separate, all easily accessible if you own the right property, and all allow you to use your vehicles without a fear of having to abandon them.

Definetly. I mean if you've got a crappy appartment like IV's first safehouse a parking lot makes sense, but we need better houses - actual houses, not appartments. And those would of course have garages.

Definitely. More convenient and more useful. We also need helipads and boat jetties.

Why do they suck ass? Having a garage is far better then having your car stolen because a cop stole it.

Haven't had that happen either, but I have had cars get bumped out of the lot while I was away.

These lots are extremely annoying. They only store two vehicles. You can't really use these vehicles if you want to keep them, and you can't just store them there for whatever reasons because they tend to disappear every once in a while. The only use for these is to keep the last car you've been driving for the next game, and that's completely useless, since you'd be driving random junk half-the-time and that's the same stuff that randomly spawns across the street anyways.

So what's even the point of having these at all?

At least, with garages, if I stored a car, I knew it was always going to be there. Still pretty useless, since you can't really drive that car anywhere, but at least its something.
