why there is no progress topic about DYOM 5?
you will edit the first post and add pics and information about what you workin (what bugs you try to fix,or what features do you trying to add)
and the percents.
Dyom v5 is big and important release, why it doesn't deserve a progress topic?
i mean something that would be edited

They have IRL stuff to do. I partly agree and don't at the same time. Or the mod's dead, simple.

It's a damn lot of coding, so maybe they got tired.

you know, actually (don't know about others) but what i was doing in that situation, is just to speed up.
they know people are waiting, none want others to give up about their mod.
if someone waiting for you, a human's reflax is to speed up and not letting them wait.
i not really think they had a 2-3 months stop.

Less than two months ago we posted a beta V5 with lots of new stuff, so how can you suggest we had a 2-3 month stop?

We're still working on it, fixing problems that are found in the beta, fixing things we find ourself and adding new functionality. The whole project is becoming increasingly complex to maintain. Adding new stuff without breaking existing functionality, becomes harder and harder. We're working hard, trying to get stuff to work that is very hard to implement (flying heli's and planes present major challenges and we're still trying to work out how to implement them).

Besides that, we both have lots of obligations IRL (work, study, family) and other responsibilities here on the forums, the gtagarage site and on our dutch forums.

So no worries, this mod ain't dead. Progress is just not as fast as we would have wanted it to be. We don't have a fixed release date yet for V5, but somewhere in the coming month should be considered feasible. Hopefully we have a solution for the heli's and planes than, otherwise we have to let them out in V5 (sadly).

There will probably be another beta version before that, mainly aimed towards testing backwards compatibility with missions created with earlier versions of DYOM, and of course for testing a couple of additional features we added.
