Yes, the marker indicates where the mission will be in v1.3. For now, I still haven't scripted it, but in v1.3, I probably will. biggrin.gif
First mission is now 50% scripted.

There is now one new RC Toy mission on Portland docks, but storyline missions are not scripted yet. This will probably come in v1.3! smile.gif

Hmnn i played it and it seems quite good howeevr there are a few road texture issues, in some places junctions have traight road texture on them and also some places hava an unnatural tranition between old roads and your roads, other than that keep up the good owrk.

Yes, because not all the roads are skinned. this will be fixed, don't worry. smile.gif

Yeah, i noticed that too, its because kenny_the_o diddnt change the texture right.

-Parked Toyz vans are replaced with Enforcers, and instead of Toyz van vehicle there'll be Police Patriot, completely with emergency light, colors, and you'll start vigilante mission from it . It'll be a very special reward for completing Vigilante missions. smile.gif

Also, there is a tiny bug in LCPD interior v0.3. I think that it'll be fixed soon! biggrin.gif

GTA 3 is among my favorites with GTA I, they are both classic games.

Thank you guys. And just to let you know, most GTA III mods don't survive, either because the modder is busted, or because he gets too tired to make the TC for III. BUT this mod will survive. cool.gif

Well, not only GTA III modders get busted. GTA modders get busted for mod theft, flaming, spamming, fake accounting, and a lot more reasons. suicidal.gif

Well, not only GTA III modders get busted. GTA modders get busted for mod theft, flaming, spamming, fake accounting, and a lot more reasons. suicidal.gif

Great news! Thanks to ms.cooldude, in the next version of Police Stories, there'll be S.W.A.T. backup which is driving in the Enforcer around Portland (just like ms.cooldude's bodyguard) and there'll be items in exchange for crushed vehicles (again thanks to ms.cooldude). biggrin.gif

Big news!

The mod is moving to GTAVC.

It will be set in vice city at 1990

The storyline will be tweaked to fit vice city/miami.

Well, v1.3 will be for VC, because it has much more features, and better game engine. And later versions will be for VC. biggrin.gif

Just a guess but is this due to issues with the map limits in GTA III because there is no limit adjuster.

There are many reasons why me and frank.s decided to do P.S. for Vice.
1) Limit Adjuster- GTA III doesn't have one, you're right
2) Cam Hack - GTA III doesn't have the Cam Hack either
3) Engine - VC engine is far more better with a lot more opcodes than III and with better missions we'll make
4) Weather - VC is much more sunnier, better and great city. LC is dark, criminal, ugly city.
5) frank.s - Frank's III doesn't work, it has more bugs, but VC is perfect

These are the main reasons why I've chosen VC rather than LC. And 1990. year is far more better than 2004. year.

The weather would suit the cop story best.
If you still move it to another game, why don't you make it for San Andreas that is bigger and offers more possibilities.

The weather would suit the cop story best.
If you still move it to another game, why don't you make it for San Andreas that is bigger and offers more possibilities.

And here are the reasons why I can't make it for SA:
1) SA has way better engine than VC, and so it is so hard to script
2) If I want to replace the player model, it won't be only a few skins, but whole player.img with 500 skins!!
3) SA has much bugs, and it is so easy to make a bug and crash the game
4) SA's map consists mostly of binary ipls, which TonyW's map editor can't support
...and many more reasons biggrin.gif

I do much rather Vice i must agree with the weather and what not, Vice city has a better more lively feel to the game that III which is a dark wasteland basically

Edit: But Vice City wasn't better either, it only had better weather but it didn't fell more alive or anything. GTA 3 was the one that felt more alive and like a real city.

In VC, people are talking more often, there are more cars, city is bigger and sunnier, and in LC people are talking the same things, like 'I swear she was my second cousin, in the navy, have you met my daughter' and what not. And since Tommy Vercetti has taken over VC, in '90s Paul's task will be to free the VC from Tommy's influence. biggrin.gif

You forget what III had:
- specific ambient noise, that was louder than in Vice City and more realistic;
- car honks heard everywhere and people voices heard more often and actually louder as if there were a lot of people
- shooting limbs off

That noise is actually annoying, because you hear them everywhere and it is all the same sounds. And LC is based on NY, that's why rockstar added more life to it. And shooting limbs off is not good. This is the thing that is hardcoded and I wanted it to be removed. I prefer VC for that. biggrin.gif
