Ive just got into this genre of pc games and wanted to know if anyone knows of any really decent ones.

I've just cleared grim fandango and I really doubt i'll be able to find a game in this genre better than that as its the only one i've played that has good quality cutscenes.

The best freeware one I've come across is Out Of Order but I Don't mind shelling out a few quid for good retail ones if anybody knows any.

Would really appreciate any suggestions from fans of this Genre. Cheers.

Just about anything from LucasArts.

Especially:

--"Maniac Mansion"
--"Zak McKracken"
--"Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis"
--The entire "Monkey Island" series.

*goes back to play "The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition" (Xbox 360 Arcade)*

There's also Sam and Max Hit The Road (classic) along with the new episodes
And that Alien one where they all look like various coloured police cones.

the name escapes me every time I think of it.

Day of the Tentacle (Sequal to the previous mentioned Maniac mansion)

Beneath A Steel Sky
Broken Sword 1 & 2

They're a bit of an acquired taste but the Myst series is pretty good I find. They're not traditional point and clicks in terms of inventory/characters though, it's literally just you alone solving the puzzles.

Longest Journey/Dreamfall
Tales of Monkey Island (New Telltale Games release)
Sam & Max (Again the recent Talltale Games release)
Indiana Jones & The Last Crusade

Obviously you asked for PC here but if you have a DS there is also the Phoenix Wright series, it's very quirky but a lot of fun.

Defo Broken Sword 1 and 2, you can get the double pack online from play or Amazon for very cheap.

If you've got an Xbox (not sure if it's on PS3 or PC) but you can get Monkey Island 1 Special Edition, that will set you back a tenner but it's worth it.

Playing beneath a steel sky now its pretty cool, d'you know of any where its not literally point and click (like grim fandango) but the same basic premise.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys I'll keep this thread for reference and work my way through them.
