Do you mean the brake light?

Stunning work Bigfoot! Outta curiosity, what is that "holder and box" in the trunk?

Not sure what red light you guys mean, but maybe it's related to this?

CHP turned those red lights on as signal to make someone pull over. If I'm saying that correctly...

I bought a '94 Lincoln Mark VIII last year and a '95 Mark VIII LSC last weekend after I converted my car into a parts donor on the autobahn. I modeled a 1996 Mark VIII for GTA SA ages ago, that model was horrible and I should release a remake. Its a shame nobody else has released anything like it since then, Id love to see a proper version of my car in GTA. biggrin.gif

Another potential car would be a 1st gen Olds Aurora, a 1990 Infiniti Q45 or maybe a remake of my 2003 Dodge Intrepid (which was the 2nd car I ever released I think).

These Caprices were sure a great car back in those days, my dad has an 83 himself, we still got it but she's going through a hard time on the body. What type of police version is gonna be for this car, an LAPD or CHP perhaps?

Isn't this one an Impala? And also, what year is the main Caprice you're working on?

They look amazing so far smile.gif

Oh, btw, this is just a suggestion, what about adding to the car the older NY License plates: http://farm4.staticf..._1ae3625ab5.jpg

By the way, you made it an Impala in the last update, I think.

I'd love to make LAPD! I am already working on the equipment. For the Ford LTD + the Caprice.

There's more difference between an 86 and a 1990 Caprice than just the lights. 1990 is wider.

Then I guess you could be done a pre-1990 Caprice instead (87-89).

@Jacobcrd I havent decided on the police version yet. I love these cars, they are fun to drive and they are true traditional American cars.

@RoadRunner Impala is one of the consideration, they bascially changed the front and rear end and some interior and seats, but sheetmetals are virtually unchanged to 1990. So I might do 3 version. Impala (a stripped version of Caprice) was more common in police forces than Caprice in 1983-85 because Caprice was more upscale and expensive.

@Intensified Nice set of lightbars you got there. 1986 and 1990 are virtually identical except the 1990 (started in 1987) gets a composite headlights. I notice something funny curve on the rear door between the rear door and rear wheel (or we called it dog leg part of the car) I think you need to re-examine it.

user posted image

Are you using ENB? the white parts of the car (doors and roof area) looks a bit washed up and lose a lot of body lines, I suggest to use my body texture below ( i got 2048 resolution if you want) and blend it with your lapd colour, so the body lines shows a little better. Also if you can make the black part 10-15% lighter to simulate ambient lighting, so the body lines in the black parts shows a little better.

And the 1990 Caprice had door mounted seat-belts, unlike the previous models.

The reason it looks so washed is because my livery doesn't have realism effects, such as shadows. it's just a plain livery. But as we all know a vehicle doesn't spawn fully clean. I just washed it completely for the screenshot so no worries! And yeah, I'm using ENB! Also the reason it might look like that.

As for the year difference, I've been looking for this certain picture of a 1986 and a 1990 LAPD Caprice driving next to each other on Flickr, but I can't find it... suicidal.gif
In the picture you saw pretty much difference!

YES, FINALLY FOUND IT!

Hmmm, lights are the same but the right one's wider.
More pictures of it;

http://www.flickr.co...in/photostream/
http://www.flickr.co...in/photostream/

But I am certain the right one is a 1990 because of the '90s lightbar is carries. I think the left is a 1987...

Oh, and for the door thingy, seems like I made a little texture mistake haha. I'll fix it!
I already made a template. Using yours is indeed an option however wouldn't solve the livery look because I just made it plain in Photoshop to ensure it would be accurate.

@intensified ill send you the model and textures for lp6000 lightbar as soon I come home today's

Cars varies every year so I try to make it as proper as possible. Caprice have 2 interior types the cheap ones (the one I already Model and the upscaled brougham models with different door panels (you can tell with interior door ane) and plushed seats. Ill stick with 89-90 model, 1986 and 1983-85 impala.

As far as polycount I'll try to make it lower than the ltd..
