BETA 2 RELEASED (FEB, 20, 2013)

DOWNLOAD NOW

I been whacking my bones with my Loadstar (nearly done except few bugs im having trouble getting rid off), the collision is too finicky, i needs some diversion.

This LTD is 100% scratch made and nothing had to do with my old LTD (except for some textures)

@schaefft Yeah I would like to do a caprice again the boxy ones. For some reason i'm not too fond with the 91-96.

@schaefft Thanks, BTW on second thought I changed my mind and do the 1996 ones instead. I may starting to get sick and tired working with the boxy cars after finishing up the LTD. biggrin.gif

Due to time constraint more likely no, unless someone is willing to make a conversion.

No screens yet due to lack of significant progress. I spend mostly correcting it

-corrected the trunk lid, grille and bumpers
-add bit more detail on headlamp bezel, park/signal lamp
-more detail on the doors (no door handle)
-corrected the bumpers
-add seats (not done yet)
-front suspensions (arms, stabilser bar, steering linkage)
-corrected the grille
-tweaked the roof

I'm loving it dude.

On another note, I LOVE your Caprice models, it would be cool for you to redo the 86 or 90 Caprice with this detail.

Nice as always smile.gif If you're gonna put this to GTA IV one day I think you should put more vertical edges on the doors and front bumper so the damage will look good on them.

You right, about the doors, the bumpers needs some too. I still have to learn how to put a car in GTA4 with these extra thing looks kinda complicated biggrin.gif

Seems like the undercarriage (the frame for example) has some more polygons than the same part on my roadmaster, the rest looks quite identical. If you have less than 80k tris at the end you really gotta teach me some tricks lol

Its looking great btw, agree with johnas, some parts could need more polysteps because of the damage (had or still have the same problem with my roadmaster) but the wire looks clean and everything seems to have a reasonable polycount. biggrin.gif

I added vertical lines on doors, I still have to optimize a lot of thing....i heared that the GTA4 can be picky with the polycount...i betta save more money on better gfx card.

Boxy cars doesn't require too much polygon. I still have to add more parts (engine and exhaust alone could dramatically add more polygon biggrin.gif )

I think it loox really good tounge.gif
It would also make good for a cop mod heh

I remember that some yrs ago it was pretty popular state trooper car, then they moved more towards Crown Vics.
I think this car was driven by the sheriff in Rambo movie wasnt it ?!
Caprices were ok but I liked the SS Impalas that some cops had, which they were nearly the same car but.. :: wishes schaefft would made an SS one :: tounge2.gif

Theres a 1996 Impala SS for GTA SA, the SPC team only has to convert it. wink.gif I still prefer the 91/92 Caprice version, I know its performance is not comparable to the Impala SS but it looks so much better imo and an engine swap isnt that hard I guess lol.gif Atleast giving the Impala SS the look of a 91 Caprice is harder.

@Bigfoot: Yeah, no more 250k poly cars in GTA tounge.gif Cant wait to see the final model of the LTD.

I made a 96 back then..dont like it anymore biggrin.gif I want to model a better one.....

Ill try to keep my ltd hopefully around 60K. I may cut some corners such as not modeling the heater/AC vents...wait my car just reached 50K still have no engine! Maybe 70K....maybe.

Cop model is a must, im modeling a plain version first.

If youre talking about the Rambo First Blood, did some research i check the imcd site and its a last incarnation of Chrysler Newport meant to compete with downsized LTD and Caprice from 1979 to 1981.
