@Jeansowaty I dind't understand how to use a existing handling line. So I just add up a line in newvehicles.ide and there (for example) the .wft and .wtd file name is cayman so it must looks like that in order to inherit the admiral handling?

 

cayman, car, admiral, ADMIRAL .... and no line in newhandling.cfg adn carcols right?

 

but the game crashes when I spawn the car :(

It should be like this... why does the game crash - I dunno. Maybe try using different handling lines, at least the game doesn't crash when you open it, one step closer to breakin' the limits. BTW, I had this error once too, it crashed because of the lack of a newveh line, but I clearly see you added one :blink:. Can you post me the whole file via pm?

@Jeansowaty I added another car, game didn't crashed but the model just didn't spawned :D I used same line, just the handling was from the newveh.img vehicle not from the original .img file. I checked the names were alright but it didn't spawned.

I've added cars to vehicles.img directly and added the lines to the ide and dat files .

But can't play Bowling or Darts no more and all car washes are in on block behind houses garden walls . any help for that ?!

Create new files, do not edit any existing .ide files. I had this error too when I added the TLAD bikes to the vehicles.ide, but when I installed it in the new newveh.ide file, all glitches disappeared :D

By the way, I found a new limit - you can add a lot of new cars (I'm eager to add 60 new ones), but the carcols.dat and the newhandling.dat may pose problems. The fix - simply use existing handling lines and don't use any carcols for the car. It will appear in a few colors but when one type of car spawns a few times, (eg. three added Regina's from TLAD spawn without carcols adjusted), all of them will appear in the same color. These include black, green, pale orange, purple etc. etc. etc...

 

 

Is there any way to make the model have sound without linking it to another model .. ?! Thanks

Nope, there is no way other than that.

That's weird. I dunno what causes that, possibly that the model might be bugged. (I can't omnit the quote!)

My bad, the newvehicles.ide line was wrong. It works perfectly. Thanks for sharing mate :) now I can add more cars :)

 

But here's another strage issue - when I go to the bridge with the barriers, the game crashes. And It makes this when I add the C7 Stingray model, but I didn't see in the comments that someone gets this issue. Now it makes it with another model, it's not from the number of models it's with specific models and I can't understand why. It crashes to desktop and says this:

"GTA IV FATAL ERROR: Unexpected ... please restart the game.

-842150451 98930848"

@vjordanov: Try removing the cars to see if that's the problem.

 

@Jeansowaty: You didn't get a freeze just before getting into the game at the black screen when using a separate .img file?

Have you tried using different cars? Have they also crashed on that location?

Weird. I have currently 70 new vehicles added without replacing, no glitches at all, everything works fine.

When I remove the model the game doesn't crash. It's not from the car with which I go there it's just about the model. But I won't go there if I have to and I'll add more :D

I'm wondering if isn't something from the vehicles.ide lines of the models, the lines which go with the readme

 

Nope. I was thinking that when the car is in the original img file the vehicles.ide line should be only with it's name but that didn't helped. Still crashing on that specific location.

Any tips for an Unable to create object! error? I've been screwing with this for days and cannot figure out why it's not working.

 

Also if anyone is willing to personally help me who actually understands scripting, that would be ideal.

It just went okay when changing one model. :)

thanks for the great tutorial guys. 
I have a problem, I installed EFLC with the latest patch and when I enter the game closes automatically. 
 
I am using 23 aggregates used cars in gtaiv 1.0.4 without problem. 
 
Someone knows where the problem? 
I have also tested with 13 added cars but still the same problem

But you could try going through it's tutorial again to see if you missed something.

In gtaiv 1.0.4 no have problems, but in 1.2.0 eflc yes, the crash game... :(

 

I followed the tutorial to the letter but can not get it to work in EFLC

now is working, but the limit is 15 cars, you can not add more? I'm using the 1.1.2.0 patch

By which I mean a vehicle that I have to spawn with the native trainer and then you don't see anywhere else. Now, I've added the vehicle, got it to spawn with the native trainer and I've NOT added it to cargrp.dat 

 

However, the moment I get in the damned thing I start seeing other peds driving copies of it.

 

Is there anyway I can get this to stop?

GTA IV has this instance to spawn the car you're driving to any ped. This is noticeable with the taxi bug - when I drove a 10 MB Audi R8 around, they start spawning too. Even if you drive an ultra-rare added car (like a Lamborghini Veneno or a McLaren P1), peds will drive copies and there is no way to stop it.

 

This is also noticeable in TBoGT - when you spawn this hidden car internally named, "policew," ped will drive other "policew" cars and will not stop unless you get inside another one.

Yup, there is no known way to stop this. Traffix fixes can cover this up, though.

When you say it won't work. Is it appearing in the simple trainer menu? Cos you need to add it to the simple trainer menu, this may be the step you're missing. Open up the Trainer Application with Notepad, do Ctrl+f and search for "ADDED" you'll find the section for entering Added Cars. Turn the enable from 0 to 1, insert the name it's known as in your code, so "COQUETTE2" for example (if this is what you've used), and enter the name you want to display "2nd Generation Coquette".

I did that step. I enabled an added car, put the model name as either "baller2," "buffalo," "coquette2," "schafter2," or "sentinel2" then wrote down the name of the car (ex. "baller2" as "Gallivanteer Baller").

 

EDIT: I tried putting the cars in the original vehicles.img file, but it still won't spawn. Should I add the handling lines into the original handling.dat file?

 

And here's a new problem: my added cars are not working but I'm getting the SMPA60 error when I passed by the Algonquin Northwood safehouse. Is it because I saved a PCJ 600 there? How can I remove it and save the game without crashing it?

 

EDIT2: Put the handling lines in the original handling.dat, and the 2nd gen Sentinel worked (spawnable by trainer, console, and TrafficLoad, and also can be found driving by traffic), but the rest, not yet.

 

EDIT3: Third edit! Copied all the lines from their original readmes (except for the TBoGT Schafter, it only needs the original Schafter stuff). Let's see how this goes.

 

EDIT4: Me editing this is getting annoying for myself! This time, I put the handling and vehicles lines at the last part of the files (all after the Vapid Yankee). I only didn't do this for the 2nd gen Sentinel because it already works perfectly without any bugs (like cannot use TW@ cafes, random car washes, etc.).

 

EDIT5: Only the 2nd gen Sentinel seriously works. Any help?

 

EDIT6: Removed the added cars (except for Sentinel) and will do the whole thing again.
