Hey, what exactly is wrong with ENB 0.082 Beta? It says on boris's site not to use it, I dl'd it but I'm not sure if its safe to use. What exactly is wrong with it? I see it has soft particles and something called detail map.

PS. could someone post a effect.txt that has sharpening, noise and FXAA? all the ones i tried dont have FXAA except the ones that are ONLY fxaa, I'd like to have sharpening, noise and FXAA. thanks

EDIT: I saw on YouTube there is apparently a GodRay's effect.txt, what all different effects are there for IV?

Edit: Pressing P only makes it worse. It has to do with the FFXA code cause everything is fine untill i put it in.

pressing P turns off the definition making it worse than ever. Everything's fine untill i put The FFXA code in there. is there anyway to take off that blur from effect.txt or effect.fx?

Why do you quote the pictures all the time. Learn to edit your quotes. Itīs absolutely not necessary and wasting space. The ppl you quote probably will know what youīve quoted from them even w/o the pics.

That's Depth of Field, try playing with the DoF settings in enbeffect.fx.

I have an issue, respectively a general question.

Iīve heard FXAA is fast but less accurate than Boris standard code (respectively Dpeasant3īs standard 0.082 effect.fx standard code). Is that true?

Iīve tried to implement it (FXAA code+sharpen code) but always get some bluriness.

The real sharp touch is gone, not really blured but especially the background textures/building textures look less accurate.

If I can run normal ENB AA, is it even necessary to run also FXAA or does it conflict? Or does it conflict with these sharpen shader?

FXAA is only fake AA by blurring edges around objects.... ENB's original AA is SSAA which done by multiplying the render resolution. AFAIK both are not compatible each other on ENB.

If you are able to play GTA IV with the SSAA Boris uses, you're better off without FXAA. FXAA blurs the edges. It detects the edges by differenences in lighting (or so I remember) so it's not accurate. Boris SSAA just renders the game at 2x the resolution, adds a specific blurring filter and then downscales it again to your monitor size. That's the way highest quality is achieved, but it's very costly.

Since I have a weak computer, I'm better off with FXAA, but you, with a strong computer, you'd better stick with SSAA. It's sharp and it's pretty compatible with filters and stuff.

Thanks a lot! Thatīs what I wanted to know, if it generally makes sense to combine SSAA and FXAA. According to you it doesnīt or it even lower the visual quality cause itīs not compatible or not very well.
As I see a lot of ppl have disabled SSAA and insted of this enabled FXAA... but did someone ever combined it? I simply thought the quality will probably increase but that may be wrong.
I will definately not disable standard AA because itīs also part of the settings and disabling it is... what did Dpeasant said: Itīs ugly!
