pretty much those are the ones that are on my short list of sad/depressing songs.
Although there are more, but they alright have been spoken for, for the most part.
Although i did have to one-up the doors/floyd postings with more depressing/sad tracks by both artists.
then to end this here is:
Bittersweet.....cursed song depressing yes, overplayed yes, still listen to it yes

|King's Crossing would probably be Elliott Smith's saddest song, in my opinion.|
Indeed, though I never found much of his stuff to be particularly depressing. It's not the most upbeat stuff out there, but he hasn't made much music I would consider depressing.
And I agree with whoever posted Dance With The Devil. You Never Know by Immortal Technique is kind of depressing as well, but it doesn't have the same effect, and he hardly tells the story with due eloquence as he does in the last two verses of Dance With The Devil.

There are tons, but I'm going to list an easy one. Quick back story(because I know no will listen to the whole song): I played guitar for many many years with a friend/roommate and even though we could nail this song he refused to play it.
The reason he couldn't do the song was because of the dog part at 4:33-4:58

Amazing song. Very depressing.
This song, especially if you're feeling lonely and abandoned is very depressing.

I think I heard this song for the first time maybe 10+ years ago. Cry, did I cry.

Brings back the best moments of my childhood, this was the credits song for the Tigger Movie (yes, Tigger as in Winnie the Pooh) and brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it.
Kenny Loggins - Your Heart Will Lead You Home

Bloc Party's Signs, holy f*ck it gives me chills every time I hear it, it's so intimate. It doesn't help much that it's probably my favorite Bloc Party song and Bloc Party is one of my favorite bands.
I also have to throw William Fitzsimmons So This Is Goodbye in here as well.
