JimmyJapan88, try this: http://www.speedysha...explosionFx.dat

direstraits, which patch?

Thanks for quick response.

Is this explosionfx.dat supposed to go in common folder, or the common folders inside the TBogt and Tlad folders as well. explosionfx.dat appears in all 3 folders and its different in each one i think.

anyways tried it both ways, didnt work.

explosions still overpowered, and copying to the TBogt and Tlad common folders made it so that explosives other than rockets (explosive shotgun, grenades, pipe bombs) stopped working.

really the problem is the flames. They look beautiful but fire from explosions spread too wide. I think you had a similar problem in one version with molotov cocktails being too overpowered.

Its running very well on efcl 1.1.2.0 but I sometimes have to quit game and completely relaunch it cause the models dont get displayed for example
I see only the guns during the gay toni intro and no player model in the city.A bug I cant fix with relaunching are the hairs of the women in the nightlcub.
they all have bald or corrupted hairs.

I apply backup and recheck.

Without visual iv

With visual iv I again have no player models.I can fix that with quitting the exe and restarting it.Sometimes it needs 3 restarts till I can see the models again.

Still the hair in maisonette bug remains.

I had the bug even without VisualIV. I don't able correct it.

JimmyJapan88, only to common\effects folder. TBoGT\common\effects and TLaD\common\effects contain other data (weapons from EFLC) in explosionfx.dat.

Excellent job, this looks awesome with the better road textures mod, however, I don't see why people are saying this gives you more performance since it has increased view distance, more intense explosions and more cars, It still runs good on my end but the performance impact is notorious; anyway, good job!

i think maybe the performance comes from a couple places like possibly a re format or just installing the game or bringing the game up to the latest patch and then using this with it. either way it does look great but I just wish that one day, maybe, Robi29 can get rid of that crazy texture distance flickering problem that is affecting 90 % of people that play this game. God why wont it just go away!! biggrin.gif

Is this mod overheating the GPU? I'm getting 28 to 35 FPS in GTA IV on med-high with the specs in my sig, and I want to put this mod without losing FPS (I don't mind if I don't get boost, just I don't want drops). I'm cautious 'cause IV destroyed my old GPU and I don't want this to happen again. So, is the mod going to get a much higher temp on CPU and GPU?

Hi guys,
First, I would like to say thank you for all the mods you create to make the game even better! wink.gif
Secondly, I have a question for you. I installed the basic game and then added your 1.7.7. mode (copied and replaced the files in folder GTA IV) and the game failed to start. It only starts that dos thing ans does nothing else. Can you please tell me the order, how should I install mods to GTA? I would like to add:

Ultimate texture mod 2
GTA IV Road Textures (Pink Pavement ver,) by Fonias
enbseries_gta4_v0081sora
and for sure VisualIV

Have I done someting wong? Maybe i should have install Visual first? Thanks for the advices wink.gif

Neo3 - maybe it is just like at my end - i just cannot get ENB Start on my AMD HD 5770 1gb! confused.gif No matter the settings used. Try getting the mods start without ENB, then try get ENB start up.

In your case of mods, i dont think there is any specific order to install. I only use the VisualIV for FPS boost and better colors (much better without that orange filter).

Snaky115 - thank you for the reply!
I tell you exactly what I did: I installed the basic game, added no patch. And after it I installed only VisualIV and the game failed to start.
(In a previous try I installed patch 0.4. but then the ECF20 problem come up, so uninstalled and reinstalled)

I would like a game with "no fog" if you understand. Enb worked for me, the cars become shiny, but the game looked still so gray or how to describe this.

Nice mod. Just tried it out yesterday. Works well and makes IV look great. Not much change performance wise, but do get a big fps boost under certain weather conditions.

Some minor criticisms (trying to be constructive here biggrin.gif )
1. I don't see the new headlight pattern as being an improvement.
2. Don't like the new blood effects. The color looks strange on the ground, and when Niko gets even a small injury he becomes covered...

For performance figures, on my laptop I seem to be getting an average Fraps number in the 25-30 region. In fog it comes up to around 40 which is a big improvement over an unmodded IV. The new water is really good, even on lower graphic settings. Also the fire effects seem to look better, burning brighter and more intense. Good stuff.

No doubt this is the best mod! robi29 rules! Good for you. In any case, the project must be developed and should not be used ENBSeries. Thanks for the mod.

Yeah I have just noticed the hair on peds heads missing in v1.7.7.

I have downloaded 1.7.8b2, but without going through the entire replacement process, which files exactly pertain to this issue?

Thanks ^

There seems to be another problem too, that I have traced to the files replaced in the ...common/shaders folder.

Girls hair disappears, I have only noticed Michelle and Mallorie but there may be others. They are fine in gameplay, i.e going on a date ect, but in cutscenes they have no hair, well the hair is there, but in a different way like it is cut very short. Seems strange. I can post screens if you want.

Ok, I certainly fix it.

It's probably fault files from common/shaders/db and common/shaders/dcl.

hey robi, i was wondering, how much time do you spend out of a day or a week, working on this project? i must say that you did a great job so far and if you continue it will be the mod of choice for many people if it isn't already. I have another question, what will be the final final version. I'm guessing 2.0? and do you think that you will get to that version within a years time?

Recently I don't have time to modding (previously I spent 10 hours per week, sometimes after 2 hours per week, it was different). Final version will be 2.0 (you guessed it). I could spend longer time with VisualIV, as if I could have more opportunities to edit files.

In VisualIV 1.7.8b3 certainly bug with ped was removed. I tested many times.
