Project for school, did it in about 10 to 12 hours, with SketchUp. Gonna put it ingame, I think.

It looks pretty nice to bad the texture is a litle blank which makes it look kinda plain boring which it is not, so maybe spicing up the texture a bit for example giving the standing parts of th stairs a darker color then the parts you walk on.

No lol, it's a school project and I'm planning to put it ingame somewhere, make some ped-paths in and around the colosseum, spawn a few weapons and make it a melee/sword fight area or something like that.

Ok, got it ingame. No colbugs like invisible walls so far (tip for SU-modelers how to make a bugless colission: make a lowpoly colission ONLY USING THE PEN). Screens:

Things to be fixed (on the model, not the mod):
  • Little colbug, but that's just a modeling-mistake by myself;
  • Map some textures better;
  • Get the colission brighter so you won't turn dark when you walk on it;
  • Find a good place for it ingame (I don't want to put it on an island because that looks friggin' lame);
  • Maybe prelighting;
  • Got any suggestions?

I know that the colosseum should be oval, but I got a reason for that. When I make it oval, I can only divide the model in two parts, and each part is over 60k polys (which is quite much for a normal map-object). When I make it round, I can divide it in six pieces and each piece is around 20k poly's, colission around 4,5k.

Prelighting should be the first thing you want to achieve, since without it, your mesh looks dull now.

Lol, I can model pretty well on Sketchup but I always end up with col bugs in the game no matter what tut/trick I use. Even used Puma's trick and I still have bugs.

Yes it will. There were some collision bugs (*COUGH*sketchup*COUGH*) and I have to fix them first.
