I want football.....

I am stuck watching Andre Johnson or Arian Foster videos. Speaking of Andre Johnson, I can never get over the fact how humble and nice a man he is.

also, Peyton Hillis watched a highlight video of him, what a monster!

I think Cortland Finnegan should have gotten a stiffer penalty from that fight between him and Andre....

Andre was clearly provoked enough to warrant a violent response... i wish Finnegan got knocked out from the punches... he's a f*cking scumbag...

Yeah i've heard that that incident wasnt the first time for Finnegan... he routinely attempts to start fights.

I'm getting sick of this selfish, greedy bullsh*t. the NFL are putting fans on hold because they want billions, billions, billions and yes... billions of dollars. Players are complaining they need more money, as if thousands/millions isn't enough in tough time. They complain the 18 game plan would be "too risky", coming from Jay Feely (a kicker). This is just completely stupid, and as a fan I would like for another league to come in and just stomp out the NFL, this is like watching two bullies fight for the bigger piece of the pie, and we the hungry kids (the one's who keep this sport alive, or any sport actually) won't even get crumbs. I just want to watch football, and these rich money-mongering men want more money. I feel no sympathy for these players.

I thought a deal would be done a few weeks ago but I'm beginning to feel that there is no hope. Pretty sad that neither side can come to any agreement. The number 1 priority should be the fans, I mean who buys these players jerseys, and fills the seats? Its the loyal fans. Roger Godell/ the NFL and the players in general should be ashamed.

The worst thing is that the NFLPA offered a 50/50 split and the owners turned it down immediately and walked out.

What makes the owners think they deserve more than 50%? They don't take the hits and go through the pain players do. Its sad these old ass owbers can't reduce their pay just a little bit.

Yeah I have to side with the players. They get paid that much because WE WATCH IT. They are in demand and there is not much "product" out there. Thus they get paid millions.

I do however want to see rookie pay scale, NOBODY should ever be paid what Sam Bradford got without playing one f*cking down.

The owners wouldnt turn over all financial info when the NFLPA requested it two years ago... all they wanted to see was if they really are facing financial hardhships like the Owners said they were. sounds like a classic rich guy trick... the owners bluffed and the union called it.

I like the Giants schedule, but I think that their game against the Jets should've been the Sunday Night Football game on 9/11. Would've been fitting in my opinion.

I'm pretty darn happy with the Eagles picks. Normally, we suck at the draft, and thank goodness we have a young enough solid squad already. Our new lineman looks like a might fine pick.

Holy sh*t, I can't believe football talk is happening!!!!!

Do you folks really understand what it is like to grow up with Philadelphia sports? It is f*cking crazy! and filled with endless heartbreak. ARGHHHHHhh

If Nick Farley turns out to be as good as he suspose to be, the Lions are going to have a disgusting defensive line.

I like my Seahawks' draft. most critics hate it but i think we finally addressed a horrid area... Offensive line. Now we have four young potentially great o line men in Okung, Carpenter, Moffitt, and Unger. I dont mind getting a QB as long as Moffitt and Carpenter pan out like they should cause any QB worth a sh*t can get sh*t done behind a great Oline. Plus Lynch behind a potentially A+ offensive line would be AMAZING. Him and Forsett would be a vicious duo. What we'd need then is a star CB to go along with our great (and highly underrated) LB corps and Earl Thomas. Walter Thurmond did wonders against Larry Fitz and i think Chancellor can do good as well after learning some stuff from Lawyer Milloy. We need to go younger on the D Line though. Bryant and Mebane are young but the others are getting up there in years. And who would have guessed that moving a 300+ pound DT to DE would give the Seahawks a top 5 rush defense team (they slipped to the late 20's after he got injured).

Anyone have any lock out predictions?

I wouldn't be surprised if we just miss pre-season. If it goes longer, I say the first two(max) regular season games will be missed.

As a Giants fan, my worst nightmare would be Plaxico on our hated division rival Philly. Maclin, Jackson, Celek & Burress? Scary.

Then we would keep on getting slaughtered. We may be getting Steve Smith and Domenik Hixon back this season, but going up against Burress, Jackson and Vick? We'd be dead. Giants need to re-sign Burress immediately.

Sure, the one time we don't really need any receivers here in Phila, we have a shot of getting Plaxico. I'll take him for the fade route though tounge.gif .

If we do get him, I'm not looking forward to the press and all the extra trashing we will be taking on the sports blogs.

Heard Los Angeles to get a pro football team for their Farmers Field stadium sometime. Rumors are talking Raiders, Chargers, Vikings, Rams or Jaguars. I'll definitely watch every game they play, it's like a fresh start, haha.

More excuses to start our riots!

I'm a bit surprised, and a little disappointed that this thread hasn't been bumped since lockout talks are getting close to finished.

We may actually see a full season. Let's hope so.
