There might have been an earlier thread of this (I didn't find any SC thread at all), but there's nothing recent enough to be related to E3 2009, where Ubisoft finally revealed more about the next Splinter Cell.

Whoa, when I saw some of the early footage of Conviction back in 2007 my thoughts were really mixed, but this gameplay video blew my mind:

Holy c*nt that looks awesome monocle.gif

Well safe to say if its a good PC port (which I have no doubts it will be) I will snap that puppy up and I'll probably get it for my 360 aswell lol.gif

Love Splinter Cell but I am glad where given a bit more choice now and I like how through the games Fishers become less and less of a pussy lol.gif

Holy freakin' crap. That totally looks amazing. I didn't think the old stuff of him running around in the DC park looked all that amazing, but this definitely looks like the best Splinter Cell yet. Is that still Michel Ironside doing the voice work? He's fantastic at portraying this side of Sam.

Im a very big Splinter cell fan, ever since the original (which is still the best). I really cannoy wait for this; its great as you're not an agent any more, but you're still Sam f*cking Fisher, gone rogue.

I've been waiting a long time for this game, and I love the new features. The mark and execute is something that, to me, will fit in perfectly with this franchise.

I can't wait for this game.

I'm not going to have any money left to buy presents for people this Christmas season with all these awesome games coming out.

Yeah, nice graphics but best of all no more NSA crap rules, don't kill this, don't trigger more than 3 alarms etc.

I have every SC on PC, DA included, but I like the PS2 version of Double Agent better. So if this is released for PC, I will buy it, but I wont consider DA on PC to be canon, PS2 version had a better storyline so I'll just stick to that one for the plot.

That looks really good, much better than the last time we saw it.

I hope that mark and execute doesn't take over the whole game (even though it does look really nice and cinematic) it looks like it could make things too easy.

The bit outside near the start reminded me of GTA IV when he walked past that ped on the phone biggrin.gif . Hopefully we there's some big outdoor areas and not contricted linear levels.

It was developed by Ubisoft Montreal, why did they make Shanghai work on the PC version anyways. sad.gif

Anyways this looks f*cking awesome, I would love to bash a guys head on a restroom door. smile.gif

Yeah, seriously. I'm working my way through DA on the PC and it is so f*cking buggy. And so obviously a lazy console port. Mission intro video freezes at times but audio keeps going; can't load any previous quick saves other than the last one; mouse cursor disappears on computer terminals; alt-tabbing gives a runtime error and CTD... the list just goes on and on.

But yeah, Conviction looks awesome. Crossing my fingers that Shanghai aren't the ones porting to PC. dozingoff.gif

Haha, yeah, I don't know why the outsource to PRC. But it still doesn't explain why Pandora Tomorrow played awesome on the PC, and it was developed by Shanghai.

Hmm, I've never played Pandora Tomorrow (something I'll have to rectify soon) but Wiki says it was developed and published by Shanghai, so maybe they were just lazy porters for DA.

Those are the old preview promos from 2007.

This is the box art shown on Xbox Live:

Yeah ... but this are he-res and doesn't have any font or logo.
Simple; just for signature, avatar, and many others.
And that is just what I got. Maybe in time I will find that on large scale. smile.gif

Looks absolutely fantastic. Got a very "Jason Bourne" cinematic feel from watching the trailer. I never really got into the Splinter Cell games, but this looks like it will be a pretty big draw-in for me.

Thank God they changed Sam's appearance around; seeing him for the first time with the whole hobo look put me off the game slightly, but the new models look sweet. icon14.gif

It's because DA was made with UT3 engine. And it is known to be buggy when you port such an Xbox 360 game on PC. Mass Effect had some weird bugs too on PC before the patch. And some other UT3 based ports. Because UT3 engine was developed for the consoles.

Meh, I thought it was good, it helped distinct that this was a new Sam, who is more rough, brutal and won't stop at anything to get what he wants.

I hope they keep the in depth close quarters combat system that was in earlier builds, that was something I was quite interested in.

Overall though, it's looking great. smile.gif

Looks bloody awesome. Could it be the NSA hired those guys to kill his daughter? It seems to me they're hinting at that, considering they drop in on him wreaking havoc.

I love how Sam isn't emo anymore but a pissed off badass unlike the early Convinction footage showed us.

Graphics seem very good, but the video was at times too dark to make out what they were doing. sad.gif

I remember in Splinter Cell Essentials it was revealed she was killed by a drunk driver or something. The game musn't of been canon then (Which makes the last couple of levels fairly arbitary).

It's entirely possible we may see an 'emo' Sam, as it was said a while back that there'd be a chapter bridging Double Agent and Conviction. And if you're running from the Government you'd want to try and change what you look like.
