hey, i am using overdose V1.4. but i think the muzzle flash is too big.
so i edit the muzzle texture.. it look more realistic smile.gif

Well the new version will be kinda in between, not too realistic and not very exaggerated.
The Gunflash.asi by DK22pac will feature different muzzleflash for each gun, and you will be able to choose which one you want for your weapon too.
Currently i finished all the default guns, but if you guys want some extra ones, then just post some photos of them here.

Could you possibly improve on this mod here for the new release? (create new effects; and maybe ask DK to write a better script for it)

Also, will there be an improvement on your water.dat BETA you posted? Its very nice out in the 'ocean'; but close to land, and the beaches its a bit 'overdone'.. I don't know if this can be improved or not.. I don't understand the parameters/syntax of that data file at all lol

@methodunderg: I honestly don't know what this mod does tounge.gif Flame asked me for permission and i gave him.
I guess it spawns some insects at some places ? I was thinking of a plugin that spawns some particles at some areas, Hopefully it will be done.
And for the water.dat, I'm not really sure at all, it's kinda hard to know the areas from the giving lines, Maybe there can be some sort of alternative if somebody do a script to enable the wind always, but even this way there will be some bugs i think.

@Baczek: Effects will appear when you destroy these objects, the blackbags is the ones in grove street near the garbage, theres also some explosions for the gas station and those small explodable barrels.
For that flare effect you showed me in a PM, i could do it but i can't really do the script, but if you want them i can include them.

I am a fan of your mod, dude! I even remember giving a concept for the nuke script...thanks for making it possible! btw, i suggest people around to download this mod, together with SRT3 w/LOD thingy(at least), project oblivion and that HQ sounds thingy I had(uploaded at late 2010)...You know, for the sake of REALISM...keep up the good work! May I help with concepts I have lots of ideas in my head...

How are these being placed exactly? Script, or map editing .. ?
And do all of them need to have 'steam' coming from them .. ? can't you place some closer to the gutter, and make them 'storm drains' ..

Also, we once spoke of an idea, that you said was feasible ..
That was to have the water 'breaking' when it came to the shore, and the waves etc; with the white 'foam' etc of the wave .. You did say it was possible .. I would inlove.gif to see the beaches become more alive ..

And where is this electricity coming from exactly ?

Maybe some new textures for DK22's MoonPhase? and for his LensFlare?

A new water and clouds ? ( I would love for clouds draw-distance to be extended; same goes for dynamic grass). Your own textures for PO2010 grass maybe?

I thought there would've been more responses than this .. Come on people; this is the author of the best effects out, and all suggestions/ideas are considered !

@methodunderg: Script still to come, but i imagine it wouldn't be so hard, since they are just particles so the script will just spawn them at certain areas, and hopefully the users will help (choosing and saving) those areas.
Currently i did four types, two with smoke and two without.

For the waves effect, theres no way for me to detect the shores, and the effects must be very massive in size, Maybe when this script comes out i will be able to attach them to some areas, but still they wouldn't be very animated.

The electricity is from a new weapon ZAZ and myself did long ago, works exactly like the grenade launcher, but i can't really remember if it was released ?

Sure, i will do textures for the MoonPhase when it comes out, and for the Lensflare this is what i have till now:

Still need to fix the flare itself, Couldn't really decide a shape yet.

For the clouds, the only way i see it looking good if somebody removes the size limits from the horizon clouds, this way the horizon wont look empty anymore, if the texture have a decent size ingame.

And the water, i don't really know, The ENB water effect don't really fit for oceans, it shouldn't be totally transparent, I'm still using the texture from 1.4 because it's kinda unique, Plus doing a water texture for ENB is not really hard at all, Anybody can do that.
And I'm not really using PO fully, just some parts from here and there. wink.gif

@JF-Mir2: I thought the original textures are okay, Maybe i will give them a try.

Some suggestions you say...? Okay, here they are:

1. Stars at night, the one I saw weren't working too correctly unluckily, would love to see a good attempt on that.
2. Blood on the screen effects, but not with .txd file in models folder, but through particle (if possible ofc) It won't collide with speedmoeters in that way. ( I dunno maybe damage system like in fps games as an optional?)
3. The IV idea - I know there is a mod like that but it's not working for many people because of the same reason as above... Okay, I'd like to see an area where cops are looking for you on the radar, or something like that.
4. New clouds - models or any idea you have.
5. Blood on cars, on pedestrians and so on
6, Usage for electricity effect - shooting in neons or such stuff could make an electricity effect. You could make an .ini where you specify what objects would make an electricity effect when you shoot at it
7. One last thing - how many of these effects will work on map mods (for example Anderius City), will the plumbing spree work?

That's all I can think of right now, no idea how much of these are possible, but I hope you'll put some of these ideas in good use. Your work is really appreciated, keep going!

Hi guys, is there any way I put out only the fog effect(that cover up the screen on cities) and the water effect when we dive in(because this last 1 make me lag a lot), or if can't, the water effect in general, what files do I must remove? Nice mod then! Thanks !

I'm definately keen to drive around LS and find co-ordinates for you. PM me with the script/textures when your ready, and I can drive around LS (my favourite cities) adding them in icon14.gif
Maybe you could ask DK22 about the clouds? I know he has just extended the limit on the blood footsteps from your guys Different Blood Spot mod; maybe he knows some memory addresses for the weather biggrin.gif

As for electricity, my idea would be to include a particle which will appear once you knock down a lamp post, and other electrical stuff. smile.gif
