In SA, Wood = blood.
it will look like this with any other effects, and it will never be fixed.

Useful comments would be nice.

How i see,you are very experient but the effects dont look very good!!!!

the blood are nice

clouds

water

but explosions sux =/

overdose effects are pretty good i ve seen worse..

but ikn you can do better (Y) wink.gif

So if someone have ideas for any effects, i will do it (if it's possible)...

Maybe just show me an image so i can see what should be done..

Can you remake a bit the blood , theres is a bit to gore and not realistic .

well, is there a way you can make a realistic wood spark?(with this i mean the little pieces of wood that cames out of any wood material in GTA SA)

Like when you shoot trees ?
Well like i said before, the wood in SA uses the blood effect, it's not a bug that i made, it used to be like this from a long time ...
Might be possible to fix it with some data modifications, but i'm not sure.
Who wants to shoot trees anyways ?
But i can add some debris when you shoot walls (not wooden)

Did you guys try the smoke grenades ? i made them kinda different cause the old effect was boring.
Also the nitro does a small explosion when it gets activated (didn't test without the nitro DLL so i'm not sure how it will look like without)
Hows the flamethrower and the muzzle flash and which explosions suck etc.
Which particle textures are good and which is bad ?
i just don't have time to test all the effects and take screenshots, thats why i keep asking for your help guys, your comments will make this mod better really.

well, can you make a similar effect of blood all over the screen like in Moder WareFare2?

-Well is my dream to fight the Police and if i get shooted at least feel realism having all my Screen dirty, with little very little amount of mud and damn lot drops of Blood tounge.gif
if you dont know how it looks, check youtube, there are damn lot videos of gameplay where PPL get shooted and you can see what i mean tounge.gif

and well if you can modify the rain over the screen when the weather is rainy tounge.gif

Hmmm i always wanted this bloody screen effect too, but it can't be made as an (effect) from effects.fxp, it must be a cleo mod using textures from a new TXD
i would do good textures for it, but i would need some cleo help.
And the rain can't be affected from effects.fxp too, only the rain drops when they splash on something tounge.gif it's from the timecyc i believe.

Report (bugs) here by the way, let me know if theres something wrong with any effect.
And tell me more ideas guys icon14.gif

i did more effects, and fixed couple of bugs, and i also did a data fix for the bleeding trees bug.
Check the fire smoke, i really like how it turned out:

Yes it's a bullet !
i always wanted to see that in SA, bullets flying everywhere...
it actually give you a small benefit, it will show you where exactly your enemy is aiming.
And has two bugs:
When you aim up or down it will still spray foreword...
And of course it wont do any damage, it will pass through you and anything else.
i didn't try duel welding and drivebys yet.

But it's a fancy effect wink.gif specially in slow motion moments.
I'm also thinking about a flame spraycan effect, so it's more like a mini flamethrower
but i'm not sure how to make the surfaces on fire after you spray them like the flamethrower.

I didn't have time to finish the IV radar textures, it's just the DXT3 compression makes the smooth alpha's look like crap, if you zoom at the radar you will see what i mean, when i will finish it i will put a DL link cause many people requested it, i just need to make a unsmoothy version tounge.gif .

I think some fire effects should be softened (such as flamethrower) so it doesnt look so jagged and clear around the edges.
Also, the smoke sort of dissapears pretty quick instead of looming over, so perhaps have it fade quicker so it doesnt look like it suddenly disappears?

Awesome work Function-X-. Something is to overdosed for me but the lights, explosions and gunflash are excellent.
I saw your big effectsPC.txd and admire your grafic talent. Then I had a look into the gunflash fxs data and got a scare becuse that long part. But I found imediately the part to make it bigger. The result is amazing. I added the fxs as fireflash in your effect.fxp and modified the PimpmyCar script to show it as Nitroflash. Then I created one more with blue color and named it blueflash.
I wonna say, the original Nitro effect is history

this also means we wont have the puke/camflash bugs anymore, just awesome !

@m裣:i know what you mean man, but if you look at the flamethrower image, you will see that it's jagged from the first part of the fire only, the first part that comes from the model, i will fix that, it's because i made the alpha channel abit too much tounge.gif i will also figure something out for the smoke
@Skript and Gta-Pyscho: the new version is gonna be way better, expect something awesome tounge.gif !
