S.A.M. gets an honorable mention because either I can't hit the plane or I hit it and I get ran over by the burnt chassis half second after.

Are you shooting from the runway? Because generally I stay on the lower level just beneath and shoot from there.

If I'm looking to be thorough and complete all of the Donald Love missions, Escort Service can be pretty damned irritating. Having to run interference on all the Cartel Cruisers plus trying to stay ahead of the van to take out the gunmen can be a real pain.

I take back what I said. I finished III's campaign some days ago and S.A.M. was incredibly easy (at least the part where I had to shoot down the plane. I kept repeating it because the damn FBI kept killing me). I guess that when I was a kid I simply didn't try spamming the rocket launcher until the plane explode.

I think the worst mission now for me has to be Uzi Rider. I have to take this slow ass POS car, drive aaaaaaaall the way to Portland, make a gang that I like dislike me, while I'm working for a gang that I know is gonna betray me a couple of missions later. Then drive aaaaaaaall the way back to Staunton, still in the crappy car. Yeah, no. I even failed twice when I was about to finish the mission. I hit the edge of the sidewalk and, somehow, the damn car ended up on it's roof and I failed the mission. I was so pissed. The second time I simply took a sharp turn and the stupid car ended upside down again. It's like a small version of the Ambulance.

f*ck this mission.

Yup the Perennial has a large potential to tip over. Like in the mission named "The Crook", while I was playing the GTA LC mod for VC, I was just at the crusher and took a sharp turn. Guess what, flip over, mission failed

Right now i'm replaying GTA 3 and i had to use a glitch to pass the god damn Ambulance missions. I hate the Portland Hospital and it's entrance. I even tried crossing to Staunton before unlocking it and tried them there but... damn Cartel and damn peds spawning near or inside the f*****g construction site. At least i did them before Last Requests, alongside the other R3 missions in Portland.

Gangcar Round up wasn't difficult for me. I had a Mafia car in my garage from the very beginning.

The massacre near the Staunton Church was a pain in the ass for me. 30 yardies with a rocket launcher, and i done it after Kingdom Comes, so they already hated me. Had to stay in the cementery and shooting from there, and sometimes the projectile crashed with that little pole between the walls, making me loose a lot of health and time.

The mission i hated most back when i played first time was Waka Gashira Wipe Out. It was difficult the first time, but i passed it today without any issue.

Right now i unlocked Shoreside and i want to make the R3 missions before the story ones.

Yep, the mission is really easy indeed. My main problem with it is the fact that I have to travel long distances with one of the slowest vehicles in the game.

And yeah, some cars are a bit tricky to drive. I think I got pretty good at III's driving (I even completed the Ambulance side mission before this one), but I guess I understimated the Perennial (though, as I said before, the first time I failed I hit the corner of the side walk with the front bumper, then the car ended up vertically on it's ass and then fell on it's roof. Crazy sh*t).

Yup the Perennial has a large potential to tip over. Like in the mission named "The Crook", while I was playing the GTA LC mod for VC, I was just at the crusher and took a sharp turn. Guess what, flip over, mission failed

I love the Perennial, but man, she likes to be a bitch sometimes.

I like the car too, but yup it has difficult handling. Still, I'd prefer the Perennial over the Mafia Sentinel :D

Kingdom Come - In my opinion, only mission which you cannot pass without cheats. Also, in my opinion, the hardest mission in GTA series.

That mission is more creepy than hard... Yeah I agree on the first tries it's a pain. I remember stealing Phil's Rhino and taking it to the parking place at my 15th try and I blew up all of them bomber suckers =P. That mission also kind of inspires me that the Suicide Bombers are a gang themselves hired by the Colombians and Yardies to get rid of certain targets... like Claude... They most likely have turf in Upstate :D

I passed the mission and died at the same. The last guy blew himself up and killed me.

Well, the bombers will keep coming after you until all the vans are destroyed, and you must kill any bombers left over after all the vans are destroyed. This can be a pretty difficult mission, but the trick is to go out and run around outside the parking lot and up on the roof of an adjacent building. Once there, attack the suicide bombers using a heavy weapon.

Kingdom Come was also hardest mission for me since I died most times out of all missions (I died around 5 times) and I needed to watch an YouTube video to see how to pass it. The technique was to get on the roof, destroy the vans and the remaining bombers with grenades.

Other 2 missions that also annoyed me very much were Ray's second and third missions: Silence the Sneak (because on first attempt I failed mission by letting the guy escape even if I managed to throw my first grenade on window, then at second attempt while I succeed using a car to block the alley to not let the guy escape, I throw like 30 grenades on the window, 2 of which hit me, kill the guy and then I finish mission with 35 health) and Arms Shortage (I got surprise killed by Colombians in first attempt, I think their shotguns did much more damage than the usual 33 as far as I remember and at second attempt I did without getting hit at all, I still had 100 health & 100 armor when I finished mission and to my surprise I was like "It was that easy???")

The hardest side mission is without doubt, the paramedic mission. That's all I can remember. :D

"Silence the Sneak" is also a real pain in the ass when you're playing GTA3 on your phone. Lucky for me I knew exactly where to stand from playing it so much in years past, but trying to block in and blow up the car was damn near impossible.

Arms Shortage isn't too bad if you hide out between or behind the crates in front of Phil, and block the gate with your car. Just grab one of the rifles Phil gives you and go to town on the Cartels from a distance. Though do mind the map for then ones who will spawn behind you. ;)

I agree about Arms Shortage being not too bad, I just had bad luck when I played it, but then I got lucky on second attempt when I completed the mission without getting hit at all, I showed the bastards who's the boss. :sly:

My least favorite mission in the game has got to be the last mission, "The Exchange". There are so many guys in the area, you have like none of your useful weapons cause the, cause that crazy bitch takes them, and all the dudes have extremely powerful weapons, like M16's and crap, it's ridiculous. Took me like 10 tries to do.

If you have collected any of the hidden packages, you have plenty of time to first go to your hideout and collect the weapons that will spawn there before you proceed to the dam.

Even if not, you can hang a left outside the mansion, go up the hill, take the left at the top, and one of the houses at the end is such that you can jump from a nearby shed to the rooftop. Walk around to the other side (being careful not to fall down), and there's a bazooka there. So use the first missile on the cars at the dam entrance, take their weapons, and save the rest of the missiles for later. ;)

I disagree about the last mission being so hard, sure you lose all your weapons but if you have collected hidden packages, you just go to hideout and collect them. I remember finishing mission in first try with 100 health and 87 armor, so I don't see the big difficulty in this if you start the mission with full health & armor, plus that there is an armor in the garage at beginning in case you started mission without armor or just lost some earlier. My advice is to not rush, take your time, snipe the Colombians that stand on roof and those that can be seen from far away and then switch to M-16 to kill the remaining ones that are hiding. If you have collected the weapons from hideout, you can use Rocket Launcher to blow Catalina earlier than intended and then all you have to do is kill remaining Colombians and rescue Maria. It's simple. ;)

Though I do agree that if you play the intended way (without going to hideout for weapons), it is much harder.

And as with other GTA games, final missions tend to be easier than some previous ones, for example in both GTA Vice City and GTA San Andreas, you can do final missions very easily if you have minigun with enough bullets. :^:

Simply...Paramedics Level 12.  I don't consider anything in this game very challenging.  Just the Paramedics are terrible...

It's just like SA.  Everything is quite easy, minus the NRG-500 Challenge and BMX Challenge...

It's always the side stuff Rockstar decides to put in that gives me trouble.

Bomb Da Base Act II: This mission is hard by the fact that 8-ball impatiently heads to the ship after the 1st shot, and unless I use Rocket Launcher I don't have much chances of completing the mission.

Gang car round-up, and the one D-Ice RC missions, since theirs no map and shoreside vale has weird roads, I can hardly find the vans.

I'm replaying the GTA III storyline right now, and just completed the "S.A.M." mission after a few tries. I tried a lot of alternative methods on this one, and I think I found the easiest one just now: I went to Phils army storage and took his big-ass military van, went to Asuka and activated the mission, and then I traveled by car to the airport. Took out the plane by standing in front of it, shot it with the rocket launcher (for some reason, the burning plane chassi doesn't seem to hurt you on the PS2 version, it went straight through me). Then I drove back to the construction yard via the tunnel. The military van can take a lot of damage by the attacking cop cars. It started to burn about a block away from the construction yard, but luckily I managed to get out and grab a new car before the cops had a chance to kill me.

My most hated mission is probably Espresso-2-Go!. So much hustle going between all the islands. The bulletproof rhino is a must on this one, especially on Portland where the Mafia has shotguns. Another tip is to run through all the islands and make all the drug stands appear on the map before destroying the first one, and then work it off in this order: Portland (2 stands), Staunton Island (5 stands) and at last Shoreside Vale (2 stands).

Both good strategies, though the mission is quite doable if you know the streets of the city well. Getting out of your car and lobbing grenades is a surprisingly good method, as it doesn't cause damage to your car. That would certainly help over in Saint Mark's, where you can avoid any potential Mafia interaction by driving up the hill next to the docks and going behind the buildings to Salvatore's. Just park your car there and throw the grenades as far as you can. :p

I thought bumping old topics was not allowed? Anyways, I'll never knew why I mentioned Bomb Da Base Act II. I've played it on my Android and I noticed an adrenaline pill somewhere nearby before I went to the vantage point. After taking the pill, it was all easy and dandy shooting those Colombians.

I remember when I had this mission. I couldn't pass it because of time limit (lol), so I stopped doing it in every my playtrough. Then one day I told to myself, "f*ck it, I'll try" and I've done it very easily. :D
