So far, my hated mission is The Pick Up. I know there is a method for doing that mission with blocking cars in the alley. My gripe with that mission is because it is in a damn alley the camera does not know what to do and every time I run out of the alley I feel like I'm shooting at the air because I have to run so many damn buttons (L1 R1 (I don't know how this passed off for gun aim) and circle) at the same time.
On that note I'm taking a break from this game...

If you are finding 'The Pick Up' difficult then you are going to get more and more p*ssed off at the later missions in the game.

For 'The Pick Up' you must first go into the alley and pick up the case. Run out in any direction (You don't even have to shoot) and grab the nearest vehicle.
Run over the enemies surrounding you and if there is one left that you cannot run over then get out the vehicle and shoot them

I like the Mission Grand Theft Auto because its exactly what the title sais. You steal cars and I love stealing cars especially if its goign to be a hot one like the infernus. MSX FM for some jungle music and it makes a great mission. Sometimes I start off that mission with a 3 star wanted level to give me some challenge.

Im not sure if you have realised but this topic is for talking about which missions you dislike the most not ones you like confused.gif

I always bring my Banshee (or whatever I'm driving) in with me and park it facing north, positioning it where I pick up the briefcase automatically just by getting out of the car. That way, I have plenty of time to hop back in after the little cutscene and mow down the first two Triads, whilst getting out of there wink.gif

But yeah, I agree, this game gets just a tad more frustrating than "The Pick Up"!

What does "most hated" mean? The hard missions are the ones it's most satisfying to finally win. I find s.a.m. awfully hard, but it's my favorite because it can play out so many ways. And some missions get boring, like Decoy for Donald Love, where, after some initial excitement, the only thing you have to kill is time, waiting for the clock to run down. (And you can ignore Donald after Grand Theft Aero.) Probably my most hated missions are the ones that actually hurt you in the long run, like those that make enemies of otherwise friendly gangs. You can't help having the Mafia or the Triads after you when you do the storyline, and the Cartel's gunning for you no matter what, but the Diablos and Yardies are fine until you do certain missions for King Courtney or Kenji. Kenji's got a couple of good missions, but I ignore him after Deal Steal, and keep the Yardies friendly. King Courtney's missions got nothing for you but trouble, and after Uzi Rider the Diablos are enemies (with upgraded weapons.) Is it worth it all the gangs on Portland against you?

Well Most Hated means the missions you did not feel any excitement from like 'Luigi's Girls'. It can also mean missions you find frustrating and therefore hate playing (like... I don't know, Gripped!)

I hated Pay Day for Ray the first few times--would've shot Ray on sight if I'd been able--but once you learn the route you find Ray's got some wonderful goodies for you (two bulletproof vehicles, maybe your first rocket launcher!) Sometimes the aggravation's worth it.

Yes, I remember disliking that mission, it was very frustrating to travel around to say 'Hello' in the toilets

For me the most annoying missions are rampages rather than the storyline missions. The ones where the object is to perform X amount of headshots (including one mission in Wichita Gardens where you are using an M16 instead of a sniper rifle) can be a royal pain to perform such kills on PS2, and only slightly easier with a mouse on PC (it's still easy to fail or to have a dozen gang members at your feet if you're above them, and no way to take them out unless you jump down).

Yeah, rampages are like the only side mission I fail a lot. The ones with the headshots are very easy to fail for me too. I haven't completed those rampages that many times hence why I suck at them. I'm not too great with shooting either.

"Gripped!" and "Patriot Playground" are really easy once you have a route figured out. The Patriot has great handling so that helps. "A Ride In The Park" and "Multistorey Mayhem" are much harder for me. From what I recall in those two missions the checkpoints give you less time and the cars (Landstalker and Stallion) aren't as easy to handle.

Yeah, I find Patriot Playground very easy due to a route I have, I never really gained a proper route for 'Gripped!' but I have completed it a few times. I also find 'Multistorey Mayhem' very easy so I don't know why you find it harder than the others.

"A Ride In The Park" was insanely difficult for me until I watched GTASeriesVideos' video on it, the route he takes makes it so you have about 15 seconds left and 1 checkpoint left. About rampages with M16, somehow (video game logic) if you aim in first person mode the bullets hit gang members at melee distance.

Just reached 100% about an hour ago quite nerve wracking doing side missions especially around the mafia area in Portland got shot to sh*t I don't know how many times. That mafia rampage has got to be the hardest one yet, finally beat it after about 20 tries rampage_ani.gif suicidal.gif

Congratulations on beating the game to 100%, next time it would be better if you did the side missions at the start of the game (and I am sure you know that now) icon14.gif

Espresso 2 Go was pretty annoying at first but once I began to memorize the locations, it became easy. Honestly, the side-missions are a lot harder and more irritating than the story missions.

Bait. It isn't so much that it's hard, but the AI forces you to spoon feed the Colombians so they stay on your tail. The only times I've ever failed it is when they either fell into a river or driven off the cliff near the Import/Export garage in SSV.

Just finished Bait and with it fresh in my mind, I'm agreeing with Dingleman: and it's not just the pathetic Cartel assassins you have to spoon feed, sometimes those deadly Yakuza ambushers just stand around letting Claude do all the work. Just a poorly-designed mission.

Espresso-2-Go may be hard if you don't know exactly where are the coffe stands located but if you know them there is some easy route to pass the mission:

EDIT: And if you have a rocket launcher :D

I found the most frustrating was Plaster Blaster. God that mission 14 tries I believe before I killed that man. I could never get him to bail out and when i did my car blew up :(

Both of the Patriot with checkpoints mission and the Rampage N°20, which involves killing Uzi/AK wielding colombians with a goddamn flamethrower. Unless you hide behind a thin wall and spam flames for two minutes, it's a big pain in the ass.

S.A.M. gets an honorable mention because either I can't hit the plane or I hit it and I get ran over by the burnt chassis half second after.

Are you shooting from the runway? Because generally I stay on the lower level just beneath and shoot from there.

If I'm looking to be thorough and complete all of the Donald Love missions, Escort Service can be pretty damned irritating. Having to run interference on all the Cartel Cruisers plus trying to stay ahead of the van to take out the gunmen can be a real pain.

Bait simply because of the sh*tty Cartel AI. I've failed it one too many times because they decide to take a wrong turn at Albuquerque and flip their sh*t over. Or, they end up ramming me because I try not to lose them and then they get out and either blast me or their car to pieces. OR my favorite, Asuka's useless ass Yakuza squad gets their sh*t pushed in by one Cartel member wielding an M16.
