Well, there's a favourite mission topic, so most hated mission is a natural step.

I have two:

Big N Veiny: Try completing this mission after killing Salvatore, and you'll see what I mean.

Grand Theft Auto: Boring, and not enough action for this "late" into the game. And frustrating as hell. I kept on banging my cars when I put them in the garage, my cars were pushed around by the traffic...ugh, it took me 10 tries. The only GTA III mission to make me swear in frustration.

I agree about 'Grand Theft Auto' such a boring and pointless mission. And worst of all not even MSX can help you get to the dots faster. In comparison a mission like Payday for Ray can be quite fun because you don't switch cars again and again.

I also found Gone Fishing and Paparazzi Purge annoying too. Maybe boats are too hard to use on PS2 but on PC both missions were easier. Not to mention the lack of radio for the boats and not being able to perform a drive-by makes it worse.

For the Mafia Sentinel, just go to Saint Marks using the beach and then climbing the mountains by Salvatore's on foot. Steal one of the two parked there and drive down the mountain slowly and continue your way by the docks.

I know, you can just rocket launch them, it is specially easy when doing Paparazzi Purge from Asuka's apartment. But if you do it that way, you will automatically activate the next mission when you try to exit.

Jump over the sphere. Then the mission wont start.

Dead Skunk is one of my favourites biggrin.gif

Rather than picking up the car, go to the opposite side of the road, between the Triad fish factory (that you blow up in Blow Fish) and the slip road (where you meet Maria & Asuka in Last Requests)

The second of the Forelli brothers cars is parked there. Drop a few grenades or molotovs on to it. Even if they don't blow up immediately they'll crash into the cliff face and try to drive up the cliff which usually flips them over. As will the first one which was waiting for you in the cafe car park.

When they've both blown themselves up you can casually pick up the Manana and drive it to the crusher. Don't forget to back it into the cafe wall a few times so that the trunk lid comes off and everyone can see the dead body there - which they'll all ignore wow.gif

One of the last missions where you have to drive all over Liberty blowing up Cartle run drug stands, it's a bitch. Especially as your timed and your car crashes, as well as one of the stands being in St. Marks! mad.gif

I would have to say my least favorite mission in the entire game is "Trial By Fire" one of the El Burro missions. I can't stand that mission because most of the time I don't see enough triads to kill to complete the mission. The last time I completed it I passed the mission with ONE second left to spare.

Well, my least favourite boss is definitely Mr. Kasen.

A) He's a prick.

B) Grand Theft Auto sucked.

C) Smack Down sucks. It would be bearable in modern GTAs, but the lack of a map and the seemingly semi-random locations pee me off.

I agree. Grand Theft Auto is the most pointless mission in the entire game IMO and Smack Down shouldn't be that hard if you know the streets well enough. But still the lack of a map and the fact the Yardies spawn at random locations makes it confusing.

Deal Steal and Kanbu-Bust Out are nice missions and Shima is a long boring trip to Portland but easy.

Not sure about the mission I hate the MOST, but I know one I wish never existed--Sayonara Salvatore. At first, I didn't really care about that guy right? But after seeing him in SA, and then LCS, I actually started to like the guy.

Well I'm playing the game over again, and I'd say that as of right now, Smackdown is my least favorite. Of course my problem was that I kept driving crappy cars (like the Idaho) and it kept donig a 360 degree turn. The only good part about this mission was that I found three SecuriCars driving around.

Smack Down
The lack of a full map means that you only see the direction that the Yardies are in and you don't know exactly where they are until you get close to them. Also the random way they appear means that sometimes (occasionally) this mission is amazingly easy, but usually it's close to impossible.

I rarely get more than the required 8 Yardies. More often, I get 6 or 7 and no more appear anywhere I can get to before they've all disappeared.

I generally prefer the earlier missions to the later ones in the game once you get progressed nearer to Shoreside. They lack the depth and atmosphere that Portland and partly Staunton posses.

I don't know if it's just me, but I always hate the GTA finale missions as they seem to be over dramatized like a cheesy action flick. The same goes for GTA III. However, I loved blowing up the helicopter at the end, even if the explosion effects were rubbish tounge2.gif .

Collecting hidden packages in Portland.. It's just so difficult, because of Mafia starting to shoot.. Now 20 of them collected.

Ambulance missions, mostly because I had to do it after I had completed the main storyline. The gangs totally ripped me apart.

I've been stuck on that mission for years. I came so close aswell. I got 6 out of 8 then I ran out of time just before I reached the last 2.

Hate it.

Both of these problems have a simple cure, do the hidden packages and the ambulance mission before anyone hates you. You should do the hidden packages as soon as you can on each island. Then do any other tasks like collecting vehicles for the export garages, rampages, off-road missions etc. Only when you've done all of those on each island should you start on the missions on that island

Or trigger the mission "Rigged to Blow" from the payphone in Wichita Gardens. Defuse the bomb, leave the Infernus somewhere and take another car to start freeroaming because no gang attacks you during that mission. A good time to collect the hidden packages. But separate missions like rampages and paramedic can't be done while doing this.

The Ambulance/Vigilante (etc) missions are always a pain in the ass. Especially seeing as they take so long. I remember being a level and half away from getting the safehouse spawn (Ambualnce missions) adrenaline pill (I believe) just to fluke and have to do it again, all of that time wasted! angry.gif

I changed my mind. The missions that I hate are the ones that are tricky to do, and when I'm ALMOST finished doing one, I die or fail the mission somehow. Too bad they didn't have 'saving checkpoints' back in '01, eh?
