This will be a colaboration between me and .Rafto who will be be supplying the game's art. Also anyone with ideas and concepts are more then willing to post their ideas. The concept of Liberty City Chronicles is this will be the additions of LC in the DLC form and possibly disk format later down the line. This concept is based on the numerous stories that exist in Liberty City without having to ever make a full GTA game in LC again so it doesn't get repetitive. This concept would be with a different R* dev team working on the game so the main R* dev team can work on the full GTA sequels. So without further a do I present to you the 1st chapter in Liberty City Chronicles and DLC #2

Liberty City, Liberty State. America's Crown Jewel City. The year is 1992 and crime is rampant. The crack cocaine epidemic which started in 1986 has left America in a huge crime wave with Liberty City being one of the frontline cities. Corruption is rampant. Crime is at the highest it's ever been. Murders are literally in the thousands as drug gangs battle over turf and everyone wants a piece of the pie where millionaires pop up out the ground as other gangsters go into the ground. There is a million stories in each city. Well in Liberty those stories all clash with each other. This is the Liberty City Chronicles.

Storyline:

The year is 1992 and a 19 year old Dwayne Forge is one of the numerous kings of the streets of the lucrative and deadly Liberty City crack cocaine trade. There is much competition in the deadly drug business and as a young Dwayne literally amasses millions of dollars, rivals will want to take him out, crooked police will want to take him down, and a president firm on stopping the brutal crack epidemic makes newer and harsher laws for crack dealers the stakes have gotten higher then ever before.

Premise:
The game will be a prequel to GTA:IV in 1992 set 16 years before that game and 1 year before Dwayne goes to prison in 1993 as it's documented he was sentenced to 15 years in prison through his dialouge and police database in GTA IV meaning he went to prison in 1993. We'll see many characters introduced to us in GTA as well as meet some fresh new faces. The game will span about 45 missions and will include all sorts of side missions which will be documented later on. The feel of the game is alot more dark and gritty then previous GTA's to match the grittiness and darkness of real life 1990s New York, while at the same time still having that GTA charm and full of colorful characters in a dark and violent world.

Gangs and Criminal Organizations

North Holland Hustlers aka NHH :
A North Holland based criminal organization. The operation was previoulsy known as the Kipper Organization led by Holland street legend Kesean Kipper. After federal dismantling and wars weakend the organization, Laurence Forge took control and made them a prominent organization once again then renamed it the North Holland Hustlers in homage to the area the organization originated from. Over the years the organization has become 1 of the prominent LC originated organizations and has grown in both size and influence over the years. They control mainly a large portion of North Holland as well as other areas and they operate in large scale distibution of powder cocaine, crack cocaine, marijuana as well as prostitution, chop shops armed robbery and extortion.

Spanish Kings(Based on Latin Kings)
One of the largest street gangs in the city. The gang has been active in LC since 1984 and is a very big factor. While not nearly as large, organized or powerful as it's decades old original operation based in the Mid West, the LC faction has already gained a large following in the Latino and Spanish speaking communities of Liberty. Consisting of Puerto Rican, Mexican, Cuban, Salvadorin, Colombian and Dominican members the gang is consistently growing in numbers and power. Have been officially entered into the nationwide ESKAQN(Everlasting Spanish King and Queen Nation) by a well respected Spanish King from the Mid West in 1989, the gang is constently trying to climb the underwolrd latter in the city by going to war with any and every organization they can. DGM aka Dominicans Gettin Money (Based on DDP aka Dominicans Don't Play)
A Dominican street gang which started in Northwood and has turf in Bohan and Broker. They are a very violent street gang and have known rivalries with the Torres Cartel, Spanish Kings and their biggest enemy, rival Dominican gang Dominican Tribe aka D3MON$. They are very active in the drug trade mainly powered cocaine and marijuana and overall gang violence. They sport the colors red and white as well as have the Dominican Flag on most gang attire.

Dominican Tribe aka D3MON$ (Based on Trinitario aka 3Ni)
The largest Dominican gang in Liberty City. Originated in 1989, the D3MON$ have a huge reputation in the streets of Liberty. Founded in Actor Correctional Facility in Actor, Liberty, the gang has spread all over Liberty City and even other areas in Liberty State. However they have their biggest foothold in Alderney City and other areas in Alderney State. They are intense rivals of DGM as well as other gangs throughout the city. They are primarily involved in the drug distribution trade mainly selling wholesale kilos of cocaine, they are also heavily involved with human trafficking of people from the Dominican Republic to Liberty City. They sport the colors Green and Black and have a machette with the words " Dominican Soldier" on most gang attire.

The Commission(Based on NY 5 Families Commission)
The LC based La Cosa Nostra operation. It comprises of the 5 main families of LC, the Gambetti Family, Lupisella Family,Ancelotti Family,Messina Family and Pavano Family. They operate all through Liberty State and interact with the various other La Cosa Nostra outfits in the state. Originally started in the city in the early 1900s, La Cosa Nostra was founded in the mid 1920s as former LC Boss and Boss of all Bosses, Maximillian" Maxi" Ciprano gathered all the Italian gangsters together. Since then the Commission has both flourished and gone downhill. Today they aren't as powerful as they were in their heydey from the 1920s-1960s. The late 1960s through the 1970s saw the rise of organized African American operations, the 1980s saw the rise of Latino, West Indian and other foriegn operations rising in America due to the cocaine trade and the lat 80s to now,1992 has seen the rise of the crack game and everything that comes with it. Federal crackdowns as well as public fascination have also left the Commission in a state of peril. Also the new generation of gangsters, gangs and criminal organizations rather African American, Russian, Chinese, Colombian, Dominican, Puerto Rican, Albanian and so forth are putting up open challenges to the Commission. The various "families" all roam around their respective boroughs and can be seen in mostly Italian American neighborhoods. They are heavily involved in political corruption, money laundering, the drug trade, extortion and prostitution.

The Smert(Death) Bratva(Based on various Russian OC outfits in America mainly NY)
The violent and powerful Russian organized crime outfit based in the Hove Beach area of LC. Nicknamed the Russian "Mafia" by journalist, the Russian OC outfits are much different then their Italian American counterparts. The Smert Bratva has been in the city since the mid 1980s and has grown in power substantially as the Eastern European population in both the city and the state has grown. Mainly in Russian centric neighborhoods, the Smert Bratva is one of the most violent organizations in the city. They are heavily involved in both the weapons trafficking and drug trafficking business but their biggest operation is their human smuggling ring which federal intel believes brings in close to 3,000 illegal immigrants to Liberty State through the Liberty City Docks annually.

-You can fully customize the bodyguards appearance in clothes as well as outfit them their weapons. The better equipped you make your men the better off you'll be and the longer they'll live.
-Equiption options include equipting your men with bullet prof vest, selecting their weapons as well as customizing their guns with silencers, higher powered bullets such as hollowtips etc.
-You can select from 12 different bodyguards. When a bodyguard dies you have the option of paying a fee to have them operated on at a hospital and you loose access to that specific bodyguard for 24 in game hours. Once they are healed when you go to select bodyguards and you pick one of the fallen soldiers they'll speak on how they took a bullet for the team.
-The men you use the most gain the most experience. If you use a certain group more then mothers they'll become your primary bodyguards and when you select for them they'll be the 1st ones up. The ones who see the most battles last longer in combat.
-Character customization is included. You can give Dwayne tattoos, customize his hairstyle from an afro, 4 different cornrow styles, a high top fade, a Grove Cut, Bald Head etc. When the game starts Dwayne will have an afro that will automatically be cut into a Grove Cut after the 1st mission. You can chose wether or not you want to change his hair or it could stay as a grove Cut.
-You can work out at the boxing gym to learn new fighting techniques which will be boxing moves. You can't gain or loose weight but the more Dwayne works out the more toned and muscular his body will become and in turn the more power he gains.
-The Power Meter will be a meter that will show Dwayne's strength. As he works out and gains more strength in turn his power grows. It will be represented in a meter from 15% which will be the starting power and if you decide to not work out it stays that way and 100% where Dwayne can take more damage and in turn deal out more damage. An example would be if his strength is at 100% then he can make critical hits to people easier in fist fights and fights won't go on as long.
-There is 45 Main storyline missions.
-Transportation includes Taxis, the El-Train, cars, motorcycles, boats, helicopters and bicycles.
-Since you are the leader of your own gang you won't be doing as many missions that have you following others orders as in past games. The majority of the missions will involve something that has to do with your own personal empire.
-Drinking is back in the game as well as getting high. You can smoke weed as well as do cocaine. Smoking weed slows down the game and makes you more durable against pain. Doing cocaine makes the game seem much faster and you can take even more damage. However doing too much of anything can make you pass out and be revived at the hospital and pay a hospital bill.
-Side missions differ from the Empire side missions. These include Taxi which will be similar to GTA III-VCS Taxi missions. There is also another Taxi Mode called Taxi Empire that is Taxi side missions in your Empire side missions. Once you buy out a taxi firm you perform Taxi missions for it. Once you complete the 15 missions you get daily commission as well as can hire up to 4 Taxi drivers. You'll see your Taxi cabs around the city.
-Most Wanted will be the same to IV's Most Wanted however you won't be in a police crusier to perform Most Wanted missions. To access Most Wanted you have to meet the Most Wanted side mission contact who is a police officer who needs someone involved in the streets to take out the various criminals.
-Ambulance has you driving around saving people. Fireman has you putting out fire.
-Turf will be divided up amongst the various gangs and organizations of the city. Most gangs will share turf with others but will have distinct areas controlled by them. You can take over turf but the main goal isn't to own the whole city but to own areas where you can make the most profit such as project buildings since there will be a large number of crack fiends located in public housing.
-Taking over turf isn't as simple as killing gang members in that area. You have to own enough property in that area and have influence there including drug operations and extortion.
-Gangs will attack your organization and turf frequently to try to take some of your profit if you have too much control in a specific area.
-You can choose from 6 distinct GF options. Cherise will play a major role in the game but will also serve as your major GF and the only 1 that is a part of the storyline. Other GFs are optional.
-GF can serve as extra save locations as well as extra places to store money, drugs and weapons.
-Areas can change from low crime areas to high crime areas depending on the murders and other crimes in that area including drug distributions, prostitution and gun trafficking.
-Green will be low crime areas on the map and will have the lowest police presence but police will respond quicker and much heaver when crimes are reported in that area. At the beginning of the game it includes places like Star Junction.
-Yellow will be mid crime level areas and police presence will be fair. Police won't respond as quick but they will come alot more equipped with a heaver presence and better weaponry. This is areas like Steinway.
-Red will be the high crime areas. Police presence will be high in specific areas and they'll usually respond to calls a little late but when they come they come with Police Helicopters to watch the skies. This includes heavily drug useage areas such as the various public housing complexes.
-Flashing Red is the intense areas. Police presence will be very low and response will be very slow. however when they do respond it's with SWAT and higher. Most crimes happen in Flashing Red areas as they are easier to get by. These include various public housing projects and crime ridden areas.

Theme Music
When the game loads up the R* emblems show up then the game procedes to go through various game artwork and playing this song which will differ from the game's main theme song which will appear after the 1st mission ends.

The games main theme music which will appear after the 1st mission and when missions are completed is this song.

Trailers

Trailer 1: It's a Stick Up
Description: The trailer begins with a close up of the LC skyline at night. Cars are going by in slow motion, hookers are trying to pull tricks in Star Junction, a tv news report flashes and states" Liberty City is a War Zone. The total number of homicides has reached 1,688 already eclipsing last years murder rate of 1,577. Dwayne begins to speak and says " Seems like a good day to hit the block". Notorious BIG's "Warning" starts playing.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BdEhtS1TLyY
Flashes of shootouts start, close ups of Dwayne, Big L and Rico walking off a project stoop flashes by. A 1992 Bullet flies through traffic with a masked guy shooting a Mac 10 out the window at a LCPD cruiser. Dwayne getting punched in the face by Big L. then finally the trailer ends with Liberty City Chronicles Vol. 1 flashing across the scene.

Missions
In typical GTA fashion the missions can be knocked out in any order depending on your current contact list. Just for the sake of advancing the game's story and missions I'm going to do the missions in order of the contacts. However as I said it will be just like in typical GTA fashion in what order you do the missions depending on your current contacts.

Mission 1: Dirty Streets
Contact Big L Forge

Cutscene:
A black customized Sentinel XS pulls up to a low rise 4 story Project complex in South Bohan. A young 19 year old Dwayne Forge walks out the fully customized car along with his top 2 Generals Rico and Big Poot. Dwayne pops the trunk and goes in and gets a gym bag. 2 members of the Spanish Kings street gang are outside the building and tell them to follow them. Dwayne and his generals are on their way to a Spanish Kings crack lab where some cocaine that Dwayne had purchased from an out of town connect is getting cooked up. While walking through the tore up complex behind the 2 Spanish Kings Rico ask Dwayne why they had to give their product to the Spanish Kings to convert to crack. Dwayne reminds Rico that the FBI and DEA have 7 of their top crack dens on survaliance and they couldn't possibly perform the crack making process in one of them with out getting caught in a jam. Dwayne reminds Rico that they have an alliance with the Spanish Kings due to their connection with Manny and that everything will be alright.

The 2 Spanish Kings stop Dwayne and his generals at the very end of the hallway and search them for weapons. Once they are cleared for having no firearms they are then let into the apartment room where loud music is being played, 4 girls are dancing around with no clothes on and 3 men are in the kitchen cooking up crack cocaine. Dwayne is then called over to the other side of the room by a guy named Big Slick who is a high ranking member of the Spanish Kings and by Big Slick there is 2 more Spanish Kings with Mac 10 sub machine guns. Big Slick is weighing cocaine and then he procedes to tell Dwayne that his cocaine is some top notch sh*t. Dwayne ask sternly if they are done cooking up his product then he drops the gym bag he got out the trunk on the table and it opens up revealing about 25 bands of hundreds. Big Slick smiles and in an instant the screen goes black. You here gun shots and hear Rico and Big Poot yelling loudly on top of gun fire. You feel the controller shaking and Rico yells for you to get up.
Cutscene End.

The screen comes back into color and the gameplay kicks in. Rico and Poot are shooting at 5 men in hoodies and ski mask. You look over and see Big Slick as well as the 2 Spanish Kings gunned down. You are told to grab a gun and you grab one of the Mac 10's the Spanish King dropped. You begin to fire at the assailants. Once the 5 hooded men are gunned down Rico yells that it's no longer safe to be here as the Spanish Kings will surely come to check what happened and all they'll see is dead Spanish Kings and some hooded guys. Dwayne ask about where the money, the cocaine and the crack is and Big Poot tells Dwayne that the other guys who were with the shooters grabbed it and left when the shooting 1st started. He then tells Dwayne that he was hit on the head with the butt of a gun and passed out. Dwayne, Rico and Big Poot rush out the apartment complex only to see a car of 3 Spanish Kings cursing at them in Puerto Rican and calling them murderers. The Spanish Kings open fire. Once the 3 men are gunned down you hop into your Sentinel and speed off. A cutscene then starts with Dwayne pulling out his large cellphone and dialing a number. A voice on the other line picks up and says whats up. Dwayne then goes on to tell him that it's all f*cked up. The screen fades to black and the theme music starts playing and then in big bold letters, GTA: Liberty City Chronicles shows up on screen and then the traditional GTA opening theme goes on showing some game artwork not used in the loading section as well as some gameplay features.

Mission 2: Where's The Loot?
Contact: Big L Forge

Cutscene:
The 2nd mission begins as soon as you go to Big L's hideout in East Holland. Once you arrive the cutscene begins with Dwayne getting out the car you chose to drive to the contact. Dwayne walks out the car and looks around the area and sprints to the back of the apartment building he drove to. Once he gets to the back he does a special knock on the metal door and it opens by the hands of a big black bald guy with sun glasses on and a black t shirt.. Inside it reveals our 1st look at Dwayne's brother Big L laying on a couch with a naked Spanish girl next to him watching a big screen tv. Big L says whats up to his younger brother and the Spanish girl next to him says hi to Dwayne. It is revealed that the Spanish girl is Big L's longtime on and off again girlfriend Jessica. Big L tells Jessica to go to another room while he talks to his brother. Dwayne explains to Big L what happened at the Spanish Kings crack den. Big L tells Dwayne that it isn't looking good right now for them. He tells Dwayne that not only has the situation caused the Spanish Kings to pretty much declare war on the North Holland Hustlers as they believe they set up Big Slick, he also informs Dwayne that the shootout which had about a dozen bodies has caught some big media attention and with more attention means more survalaince on the North Holland Hustlers. Dwayne then reminds Big L that the feds don't currently know where his hideout is and that the feds don't know that he gave full power over the organization to Dwayne and that most of the people the feds were looking at are inactive as of now.

Big L then gets up, picks up a still burning cigarette and smokes it. He then tells Dwayne that regardless of who the feds are looking at, the more attention they have the less active the gang can be as a whole and in turn the more their enemies will try to move in. Big L then procedes to remind Dwayne that they weren't letting the Spanish Kings cook their product by choice but that they had to as the feds were looking in on all their crack spots. Big L then reminds Dwayne that he can't be on the streets and that the organization is loosing alot of money by having the scale back operations as well as the lost money and cocaine. He tells Dwayne about this laundry mat that he knows of that the "Chinks" are using as a cover up to their money laundering operation. He tells Dwayne to go there and make casualties limited and if possible none and take the money which he expects to be as much as $25,000. He tells Dwayne to be careful as they don't work with the Chinese gangsters and that they shouldn't know his face but after this night they would so make sure nobody important can make him out. Dwayne leaves the apartment.
Cutscene ends.

When the gameplay kicks back in, Dwayne calls his brother and ask for the location of the laundry mat. Big L gives him the directions and the location is plotted on the map. Dwayne drives to the location and another cutscene begins. As Dwayne gets out the car and walks into the laundry mat he's greeted by an elderly Chinese woman. Dwayne pulls out a gun and points it at the Chinese woman's head and declares" Where's the loot?" The Chinese woman starts pleading in a mix Chinese and American for Dwayne to not shoot her. Dwayne walks up to the window and flips the Open sign to Closed and turns out the lights and forces the elderly woman behind the counter into a back room. As soon as Dwayne gets into the back room he sees 3 Chinese men counting money and he then pushes the old lady out of the way and aims his gun at the men. They pull out guns and the cutscene ends. When the gameplay kicks back in the men start firing at Dwayne. Once Dwayne takes them out(Don't forget in GTA IV and TLAD as well as this shooting people doesn't necesiarly mean killing them unless you keep shooting them, shoot at vital places like the head or are using powerful weapons like a sniper rifle. Don't forget Big L said keep casualties down or make none if possible. The only difference in killing them or just shooting them is the after mission dialouge you'll hear from Big L) you run down the steps and run over the money. You'll see that the money only shows up as $7,000 and Dwayne starts curing loudly. The alarm goes off instantly giving you a 2 Star Wanted level. You run out of the shop and into your car and speed off. Once you loose your Wanted Level you head back to Big L's spot for the after mission cutscene.

The cutscene begins and you tell Big L wether you killed any gang members or none. Depending on what you did you'll hearsome different dialouge. Either way Dwayne then tells him that the come up was only $7,000 and that he must have hit the shop at the wrong time. The news then comes on screen talking about a laundry mat shootout and robbery. The news lady then says that the laundry mat was a front for the Jaoming Triad Organization which is the biggest Triad organization in the city. Big L then tells Dwayne they are now in deeper sh*t if anybody could make out who Dwayne was. Dwayne then leaves the apartment and the cutscene ends with Dwayne getting $3,500 out of the $7,000. After the mission Dwayne receives a call from Big L telling Dwayne to spend that money wisely. He tells him to go get wasted or buy some new guns or some new clothes or just sit on it and save it. Dwayne then replies "thanks mom". After that phone call ends Dwayne receives another phone call. The phone call is from a mysterious man with a Chinese accent who tells Dwayne to meet him at the Lan Laundry Mat. Dwayne then ask the man how he got this number and the man replies that the Triads know that the North Holland Hustlers were behind the robbery and that he can surely help Dwayne out. A ? pops up on the map in Chinatown.

Mission 3: Heavenly Run
Contact: Big L Forge

Pre mission event:
Dwayne gets a call from Big L to meet up with him at his hideout apartment over some important "business". You are then tasked with either driving to Big L's, continuing to free roam or do other things, or go do the ? mission strain. For sake of advancement you drive to Big L's apartment.

Cutscene:
Inside of Big L's hideout we see Jessica getting dressed to go to work as she works at the hospital and Big L watching tv smoking a cigarette. Dwayne knocks on the door and declares that his brother "let me the f*ck in". When Big L opens the door the 2 siblings give eachother a hug and Jessica comes up to Big L and kisses him and tells him that she'll get off work in a few hours. As Jessica leaves the, Big L closes the door and tells his brother that 1 of their close friends and generals had a problem at the strip club they own, The Triangle Club. Dwayne then goes to the couch to sit down and lights a cigarette up. As Big L is about to describe the situaion he hears a knock at his door and precedes to open it.

Big L opens the door and it's NHH member and general Big Poot. The 2 give eachother hugs and then Poot goes over and daps up Dwayne. Big L then tells both Dwayne and Poot that he needs the duo to go to South Bohan and jack up a street gospel preacher who frequents The Triangle Club and beat up 1 of the strippers the previous night in a drunken rage because she wouldn't "perform" for him. Big L then tells them this is just a straight up ass kicking and that 1 of Rico's boys will be waiting in South Bohan for the duo so he can indentify the man. Dwayne then questions why Rico couldn't handle the situation himself since he manages the club or why he didn't take care of it last night when it occured. Big L then tells his brother stop questioning sh*t and go perform the task. Dwayne and Big Poot then walk out of the apartment and walk to the car you drove to the contact with.
Cutscene ends.

When the gameplay gets back in motion you are given general directions to where the street preacher is located and a route pops up on the map. As you drive Dwayne and Big Poot discuss the recent happenings including the Spanish King shootout, the Chinatown mess up and most recently the Rico situation. Big Poot goes into minor detail about Rico's growing cocaine problem and saying that Rico was too stoned when the preacher beat the girl to do anything about it. As you pull up to the marked spot on the map another mini cutscene begins. As the cutscene begins a young man walks up to the car and precedes to get in the back. As he gets in he daps up Big Poot but he and Dwayne say nothing to eachother. Poot then ask where the preacher is located and he points him out as the camera zooms into a mid aged black man on a corner 2 blocks up the street speaking about the end of the world.

Gameplay ships back in and you are told to get out of the car, go to the trunk and pull out a baseball bat and then walk over to the preacher instead of driving by him so he doesn't get spooked. You, Big Poot and the un named 3rd person then precede to walk towards the preacher. About 1 block away from the preacher he notices the trio and then begins to run. You have to then chase the preacher on foot and not loose him as he goes through apartment buildings and alleyways. Once you catch up to him as he enters a dead end alley you bring out the baseball bat and begin to beat him. After you knock him out another cutscene begins. You are shown beating the mans legs with the baseball bat and him pleading for you to stop. Poot and the 3rd guy catch up and also begin to beat him by kicking his body. Poot then orders Jayvon who is the 3rd guy to go through the preachers pockets and take what ever he has. A policeman who walks past the alley sees the 3 men standing over the unconcious man and he precedes to pull out his gun and tells the 3 men to put their hands up. Out of nowhere the cop is hit in the back of the head with a pistol by Rico knocking him out. Rico then tells the 3 to get in his car. The 4 men pull off leaving the 2 men unconcious in the alley.

The screen fades to black for about 3 seconds until Rico is shown pulling up to Dwayne's safehouse. Rico hands Dwayne a wad of cash and tells Dwayne that they need to talk about some sh*t and that Dwayne needs to call him. Dwayne gets out the car and Rico drives off with Big Poot and Jayvon still in the car as the cutscene ends. You are rewarded with $500 and a big R in Green appears on the map as the contact marker for Rico who is now a new contact for you to do missions for.

Thanks. I'll flesh it out much more later on with the gameplay, music, missions, gang profiles, weapons and the such. I don't think a map is really needed since most should know what the LC map looks like since it's the same city just 16 years prior to the IV storyline.

I meant like the way the III era LC and VC changed. A map isn't necessary, but how has the city changed? Were buildings still under construction, or were empty spaces in the IV era previously built upon?

Yes I'll be fleshing that out as well. If you look up articles or pictures of 1990s New York you'd see a big difference and get a different feel from that New York to today. Most major buildings were still present but there was alot of abandoned buildings, the city just looked dark and bleak in certain areas. Times Square was nothing like it is today. The Red Light District is more akin to 1990s Times Square then anything. Full of prostitutes, sex shops, strip clubs, pimps, drug dealers and so on.

Brilliant. I love it.

Can I make a few suggestions though? I would of made Dwayne's brother killed during the storyline; as that would be more powerful than simply saying his brother died prior to the story. Dwayne could work for his brothers and his two generals before he is killed; thus introducing him to the drug trade and introducing the new features.

Elizabeta is hinted in The Lost & Damned as being an lesbian (or at least bisexual). Maybe her low self-esteem could have something to do with this? Perhaps she could be lesbian; but feels like she has to sleep with men in order to please and aid her father - thus creating a moral dilemma for her and possibly lowering her self-esteem.

Also, in Elizabeta's biography you added that she has a brother; how come he doesn't get his own section?

An interesting plot twist might be to have one of Dwayne's generals turn on him; maybe it was him who killed Dwayne's brother? He wanted to inherit his empire and did not think it would go to Dwayne instead. That could present you with a final boss and a strong sense of revenge.

I was going to suggest a storyline involving Joe Corrola; but it didn't work since I would of had Dwayne kill him off. I'll tell you what I had in mind; but remember that Joe doesn't belong in there. I was thinking that maybe Joe could be Maria's husband's gay lover? Maria could find out and orders Dwayne to kill Joe while she poisons her husband. What do you think?

By the way, did you get the inspiration for this from the spin-off thread? tounge.gif

Thanks for the feedback Jacky. I'm going to change some things. However I'll comment on some of your concerns.

With Elizabeta according to her bio on the GTA Wiki she was born in 1977. I wanted her to be part of the Dwayne storyline so she would have to have been 15. In terms of her being a lesbian or bi sexual I didn't think it would be right if she were 15 and gay especially since at that type of young age you really wouldn't know if you are really gay anyways. That's why I made it that she slept around so it could be a look at how she ended up with her cocaine addiction which she has in IV and being fat compared to her small slender look in the pre IV images.

On the twist part I didn't really get down to the actual game storyline plot yet but I just gave a general overview of it so there will be some twist and turns in it.

With Joe Corolla he couldn't be killed off since we know he's alive in GTA IV at least up until the end of the game. Plus we do know that Joe was one of Maria's lovers as it's mentioned on his LCPD database and we don't know if her husband was gay not to mention we don't even know his name. That name was completely original.

And yes I did get this inspiration from the spin off thread lol. I always thought a 1990s LC would be interesting because real life NY from 1986-1996 was a real battleground as I mentioned in that thread. I just fed off this concept with my original post about Dwayne and your idea about the concept as well as bobgtafan idea.

Maybe Elizabeta could be confused about her sexuality? That would make her a much deeper character and give some insightful background to the character. Though it's up to you what you do with her; I'm not even sure how much of part she is going to play in Dwayne's story.

I found a bigger picture of Page for you to use since the other one was so small. Also, if you want to make the images appear in the post instead of using a hyperlink, just put this either side of the URL:
CODE
[IMG]INSERT URL HERE[/IMG]

I really like the character of Page. He is the big, bad drug lord who everyone else seems to aspire to be like. He has age on his side and ruthlessness to match. I'm guessing the Torres Cartel are going to be an actual gang rather than Page and his associates; like they were in GTA IV?

Which side of the Torres Catel-Spanish Lords War will Dwayne be taking? It would be interesting to work for Page Torres and see his decline (and I'm guessing - death) during the course of the story. Though you stated in Big L's section that the North Holland Hustlers and Torres Cartel thought a turf war; so I doubt Dwayne would be working for them.

Cherise Glover needs to make an appearance. She was Dwayne's girlfriend up until he arrest in 1993. I'm not saying that you should include her as a major character though she should dot up around in the story every now and again.

I'm really liking this thread, Sergi. Keep it up.

You know I was actually thinking the other day about a prequel to GTA IV, with Dwayne as the main character set during the height of his drug dealing days. This sounds top notch.

Looking forward to seeing more. icon14.gif

f*cking A man. Your character backstories are so in depth. Oh and by the way it never says Elizabetha is in a cartel/ runs one. In fact the game makes the complete opposite by pointing out she works pretty much alone and is small time.

Thanks for all the feed back. The storyline is still being worked out but as I said it will have a lot of twist and turns and alot of characters will be seen or at least mentioned in the game. Also I'll continue to add more characters as I've just added 4 new ones including Elizabeta's brother, an Irish arms dealer and the leader and his main hitman of a Jamaican orgainization. I'll continue to add more and more down the line. Also I added some of the 1st gameplay info.

Also for those who don't know and may want to know about the real life situations, gangs and characters I'm basing these guys off I'll list them. I drew alot of inspirations from real life crack barons and wars from the 1990s including Supreme Mcgriff who ran the notorious Queens Supreme Team as he's the main inspiration for King and the King Squad. With Dwayne and his brother as well as mentions of the previous organization that was before the North Holland Hustlers I drew those inspirations from real life Harlem crack barons Alberto" Alpo" Martinez, Azie" AZ" Faison and Richie Porter and also inspiration from the film "Paid in Full" which was based on those characters. The concept behind the Blood Bath Posse and it's leader is based off of real life NY Jamaican criminal organization the Shower Posse who were known for their violence and racking up literally thousands of murders by the time federal authorities took down the operation. If you want to know more just let me know.

I like the new characters. Will Little Jacob and Real Badman be playing a part in this story whatsoever? I know they were young back then (I'm not sure how young) but the Hillside Posse is the dominant Jamaican gang by the time of GTA IV; it'd be interesting to get an insight into how they managed to gain such a status.

The only problems I have with the gameplay features is the bodyguard customization section; how will it be accessed? Via the start menu or some other way? Also how expendable would bodyguards be as it would be pretty pointless to spend all that time upgrading them just for them to get gunned down straight away? Maybe make them more like the brothers from TLAD; they get tougher over time and start using better weapons and tactics the more you use them?

EDIT: I was wondering - if you were interested - did you want me to create a turf map? It would show which districts are own by which gangs in Liberty City Chronicles. It might be useful, I don't know, I just think it would be interesting.

Here is the map I would be using:

Thanks for the map Jacky. And yes I'd appreciate if you'd work out a turf map.

On Little Jacob and Real Badman, if we go by their police files and info on GTAwiki then Little Jacob would only be 10 since he was born in 1982 o he wouldn't even be a factor and they have Little Jacob being born in 1981 so the same goes for him. So no they won't be in the storyline at all and they don't really come into play from waht we saw in IV concerning Dwayne so they probably never even met before. Also there is a large Jamaican population in New York in areas like Jamaica Queens and Brownsville Brooklyn and there is more then 1 Afro-Caribean gang so the Hillside Posse more then likely co existed with the Blood Bath Posse but they just weren't the dominant factor they are now back then.

In terms of the bodyguards, I forgot to put this in that gameplay section but once you get access to bodyguards, you can access them at anytime by going to one of your properties and selecting them. If a bodyguards happens to die then you just pay a fee to have them operated on at the hospital and you loose access to them for 24 in game hours and they'll respawn back at a property and they'll talk about how they took a bullet for the team.

Also I've added 3 new characters. Russian gangster Fillyp Stanislav, and Irish gangsters Adam Connely and Michael Manson. I'll be adding Derrick and Gerald McReary profiles tomorrow as well as a leader of a powerful Alabanian gang as well as some other characters.

This is a pretty good idea for a IV prequel. I loving it so far. One question though. Would Playboy X be in the storyline?

I don't want to spoil it because I have an interesting way of introducing him into the story. However yes he'll be in the storyline since it's known Dwayne was his mentor and he'll be a very interesting character mainly due to his age as he would be 9 at the time of the storyline.

@Sergi: If you just give us a quick run down of which gangs run which neighbourhoods and I'll knock up a map for you as soon as I get my computer back.

EDIT: Just a quick note about the Irish Mob. Remember that Mr. McReary (Packie, Gerald, Derrick and Kate's father) ran the McReary Mob up until 1999 (when he committed suicide). I'm pretty sure that he would have a part to play in the McReary's revolution.

Derrick had also just returned from Ireland in Grand Theft Auto IV. According to the LCPD Database he has convictions for armed robbery around about the time of Dwayne's story (if I remember rightly) so I'm not sure if he would be in Ireland or Liberty City.

Playboy X needs to maker an appearance given he knows Dwayne before he goes to jail. So I'll be looking forward to when you add him.

You can find a gang topic in the IV section somewhere which has the turf listed which you can adapt from.

edit: when you gonna start writing this or will this be another ideas thread confused.gif . Cheers XD. Looks great, way better than 99% (Yours being the 1% that is good) of the rest of the stuff on here.

I'll give you turf info later on but mainly most of the turf from IV is intact.

Also thanks for the McReary Mob info because I had no clue about any of that. I didn't even know they even mentioned their father in IV let alone he committed suicide. On the Derrick part if I remember correctly in that mission where you're with Packie and those other 2 Irish goons driving to Charge Island when they speak on the Irish Mob and Purgatory I think PAckie said when Derrick was around or something to that stance however I'm not sure.

@sam33

Thanks for the feedback. I'm making this as a full on game concept and I'll be adding the missions, music, weapons, more characters, gang info as well as more gameplay elements but it's taking me a bit longer then I originally expected. Coming up wit new gameplay ideas is the hardest since most of the stuff you can really run off as of right now for the next GTA game concept has been mentioned pretty much in some form or another not to mention with this being a DLC I don't want to add to much new gameplay as LATD added new gameplay but not so much that it would be regarded as a full sequel so I don't want to go overboard with the gameplay. JackyFiend said he'd do the gang turf and .Rafto is going to do the art so I'll give a prediction that the thread should be fully up by next Monday. So I'll be adding more and more and by Monday it should be complete pretty much.

Also I just added the Theme music section so you can hear the game's main theme song as well as the laod up screen theme song when you turn the game on every time. Also I added the 1st mission and well as the opening cutscene.

I really like the first mission Sergi, not something we're use to in Grand Theft Auto, being thrown into the middle of a gun fight in the first mission; but I like it! I was reading it while listening to the theme song and it really fit. Good choice of music.

I'm guessing the general story is about Dwayne getting revenge on the Spanish Lords (you called them Kings by mistake) and retrieving your coke? That would make a pretty interesting game if you ask me; I'm really liking this. I'm jealous I didn't come up with it first. tounge.gif

Very good idea.

Maybe Dwayne and a younger Elizabeta could work together? If she isn't with the Spanish Lords, that is.

As I had mentioned earlier the game will have alot of twist and turns but just to clear up any confusion the Spanish Kings(or Lords) aren't responsible for the loss cocaine or money. The Spanish Kings will play a vital part to the story but they aren't the main bad guys. I'll make it more evident in the missions to come that the whole deal was sabatoged and that the North Holland Hustlers and the Spanish Kings are going to be fighting because the Spanish Kings believe Dwayne is behind the death of those Spanish Kings at that project and behind the death of Big Slick who was a big figure in the gang. However Dwayne is trying to fine out who sent those shooters and in turn stole that money and coke while fighting the Spanish Kings and trying to let them know he wasn't behind the situation.

Also on the name change part I just thought it fir better. The Spanish Lords is a real gang based out of Chicago in the People Nation. While the Spanish Lords in IV are based off the Latin Kings who are also based out of Chicago and the People Nation but have spread nationwide, I just thought re naming the Spanish Lords to Spanish Kings fit better since there should be no confusion as well as it being more evident they're based off the Latin Kings. Even though the real Spanish Lords and the IV Spanish Lords have nothing in common except name since they sport different colors I still think there could be some sort of confusion.

I 've also thought about Dwayne's backstory. He literally ran North Holland, Northwood and Bohan starting out as little more than a two-bit crack dealer on a street corner . Is there anyone more appropriate for a Grand Theft Auto episode then this guy? To top it all off set against the backdrop of late 80's-early 1990's New York; classic hip-hop and R&B, fashion, tv references, etc.

Imagine building up his empire from scratch and then seeing how it all unwravelles, the events which preceeded his incarceration. Racing against time knowing he's got nothing to loose; taking his revenge against his betrayers before it's all over. I could dig that.

Have you got a general plot worked out in your head? Figured out how Dwayne is going to come into contact with all these characters? How big a role they're going to plat? Etc. I'm not doubting you; I'm just interested to know what you've got. smile.gif

Yeah the general plot is pretty much done. I'm going to pretty much let the plot get told by the missions and cutscenes. When the missions are done I'm going to make a general storyline brief that tells all the info on the story but I'd much rather let the missions be done before I do that or the missions and the secrets within them won't have as much vauableness as you can just read the storyline over view instead of seeing the missions detailed.

All the characters that have been mentioned in the character list all play major roles in the game's story as either contacts, antagonist or just important people. Other people such as Big L's girlfriend that was introduced in the mission 2 cutscene is pretty important but she isn't a major character in the game. The same goes for Playboy X. He'll be introduced in the story but he'll get introduced around mission 35. I have a neat way of introducing Playboy and showing how he and Dwayne became so close that Dwayne basically made him his apprentice even though in the storyline Playboy would have only been 9.

Go right ahead. As I told you the concept is that a Liberty City Chronicles brand could tell numerous stories in Liberty City from numerous time periods with different characters and events and so on. I have no problem with that, however I just ask that if you do make a Liberty City Chronicles thread you give me my full credit for the Liberty City Chronicles name and concept. If you want my help I have no problem with helping you.

Of course you would get full credit for the original idea smile.gif , I'mthinking of basing mine on petty crime rather than large crack gangs, probably not into plagiarism or anything based in Alderney, maybe Broker though.

That would be an interesting concept. Petty crime criminals in GTA that is since in most GTA's the characters have all done major crimes and made major money. With a petty criminal it could be more of an emotional type story as a petty criminal usually doesn't make enough money off his or her crimes to really support themselves so I think it could be a very interesting idea.

exactly, I mean there would be guns and what not (this is GTA) but it isn't going to be to over the top, like oyu said more an emotional story. biggrin.gif
