I wonder how many of the casino's we'll be able to enter. I've stayed at the Mirage so it'll be nice if I can recognize some of the sights.

I shat myself when I first saw this posted by jelly.

This game is going to PWN. I've always wondered what Fallout would be like in full 3D and made by Black Isle. It's definitely going to be a lot darker and grittier than Fallout 3. Expect one HELL of a storyline too. Storyline is what made the Black Isle Fallouts what they are.

I'm so f*cking hyped up! This is going to be THE game for me in 2010 no matter what other game gets released.

All I want is for this to be completed and released instead of being cancelled.

GOOD LUCK OBSIDIAN! <3.

...do you think they'll use the same engine and assets? Why else would this be announced at a Bethesda press conference, if not?

I don't know why you would think it's a joke? What's wrong with Vegas? Vegas kicks ass.

I'd like to see how a destroyed Las Vegas would look.

Agreed. I think that, especially as a destroyed area, Vegas would be an awesome place for Fallout to be set.

Fallout 3 did nothing for me, I'm just here to post this Pete Hines interview and be on my way.

The location won't really matter when you got geniuses like the people from Black Isle on the job. They will make it good no matter where it's set.

And Vegas is a great place for Fallout. I hope they make the map a lot bigger than Fallout 3's map. I found it to be too small really.

Do you think Super Mutants gamble?

This should be good. Fallout 3 was so immersive I got sucked into it a lot faster then both Morrowind and Oblivion. But Fallout was always better then TES series IMO anyway. Oh man, Las Vegas...GREAT! But I'd like to see the city of angles someday as well

I hope it takes place directly after the bombs falling. Playing in a world of mass hysteria and destruction would be an insane set for a game like Fallout.

Fallout. Las Vegas. Holy crap that's a cool concept, i never really thought of a Fallout being set in a place like that, and i'm glad it's a full blown game, i hope it does use the same engine as Fallout 3, or at least an updated version of it.

This is just awesome.

I'm judging by the name "New Vegas" that something "new" will have been built. New settlements within casinos maybe? There is a bloody lot of desert around Vegas, wonder how they'll fill it.

Well, the name "New Vegas" says to me that the city has been somewhat rebuilt. Some sort of order may be established.
Edit: HAHAHA Sikks. Great minds, and all.

Looks to be interesting. A lot of Desert though, should be interesting in how they execute this.

Considering the desert and Las Vegas, I wonder if you'll come across some bodies buried out in the desert.

Could be pretty funny.

I still need to get Fallout 3.

Wow so soon, I was thinking we'd have to wait until Elder Scrolls V was released before we saw another Fallout, this is awesome.

I demand they make the Slot-O-Matic™, an automatic rifle made from slot machine parts that shoots chips. Without this, the game will fail!

HEED MY WORDS!

if you read it says its a spin-off made by the dudes that made Fallout 1, so it'll be more like a TLAD or Shivering Isles, an expansion if you will but will be interesting to say the least.

It would be cool for the story to start with the first bombs falling off the horizont and you having to run to a Vault as a kid. That would rock, in my opinion.

Yeah I realise that, I just assumed Bethesda would make the title themselves, seeing as they bought the rights and all.

Hmm. Fallout 2 = New Reno,
Fallout 3 = New Vegas? Sweet. Actually, I kinda remember a reference to Las Vegas in either Fallout 1 or 2. Possible information! I'm going to get on Fallout 1 asap tounge.gif

Oh sweet, Obsidian is developing it - this should mean (hopefully) a more connected universe with FO1/2.
