Mine was use your illusion 1 from guns 'n roses, the week after release. I still got it, and it still works cool.gif

Waddy, I never, EVER owned ABBA, they were akin to DISCO which I hated. I respect 70s soft rock now, however, it was AEROSMITH's ROCKS that I still have and owned in the mid 1970s, and it's LITERALLY worn out since I got it! I bought the CD used, to replace it.
Much of my LP collection was all the KISS records.

My first legal purchase of an in-store album would have to be Ride the Lightning.

That baby got me hooked on the rest of Metallica's back catalogue. I have everything except Load and St. Anger.

Hmm... I honestly can't remember the first album I bought with my own money. It might have been the soundtrack to Hook. The first CD I ever owned, though, was given to me by my dad in 1987, when CD players became the must have yuppie item in Australia.

I'm not 100% on this, but after a quick look through all my albums, this is probably the CD that took my album virginity...
I was 12, and within a few minutes of this, I was in love. inlove.gif

The first c.d I bought was Hybrid Theory by Linkin Park. I was 13. I still stand by it being an excellent album though. They introduced me to a whole new world of music.

Michael Jackson's "Bad" was my first cassete I ever bought. CD's were still expensive at the time, let alone a cd player.

The Offspring's Americana. I bought it in 1998 (I was 8 years old). It was the first CD or casette that I ever bought with my own money. I thought I was really putting one over on my mom because I peeled the "parental advisory" sticker off the package so she'd let me buy it. I actually still own the CD and it's in my car CD player right now.
