You could say its an all in one mod, but for GTA3? biggrin.gif
Yep, this moddification adds a bunch of features which can guarantee to extend the time spent on playing GTA3.

This project started just about a few months ago when I thought that there was so much that GTA3 could still gain. The other thing is that only a few if any mod such a classic game anymore. There is still so much potential, and thats why I decided to start working on this mod. icon14.gif

- FIVE new exclusive missions! (Last updated: 26/09/09)
Did the game really end?

- Mysterious Mananas! (Last updated: 27/09/09)
Rare but rewarding to find. If you get bored, find them all.

- Health to 100% after rest (Last updated: 08/06/09)
After saving your game, the health will go back to 100%, as it does in the other GTA games.

- Digital Speedometer
Allows you to see the speed of your vehicle when driving. Media is shown in with the next to next feature below.

- Greater Vehicle + Pedestrian density
There is an increase in the amount of vehicles and peds that are spawned on the road. Media is shown in with the next feature below.

- Bodyguard
You may think this has been done before, but that is what makes this particular one special. The bodyguard is always driven around the city and is recruited by following the marker on the map. It is not considered as a chase as he is being driven in a car at the same speed as traffic.


- GTA2 Feature: The Car Crusher
In GTA2 and GTA3 there are car crushers however only GTA2 gave items such as weapons in exchange. This mod will add this feature into GTA3.


- Wanted Level
Ever wanted to control the wanted level without it automaticly increasing or decreasing when felony's are commited. With a press of a button this will allow you to control the wanted level weither you want to keep it at two stars for example or six if your a bit crazy! tounge2.gif


- RAGE MODE
Ever wanted instant slow motion in those fun and crazy shootouts! With a press of a button this will allow your player to experiance the ultimate adrenaline shot and will allow you to immediately enter slow motion with a red blur allowing you to have more time to decide how to kill! Your player must replenish however to use it again (About 30 seconds).


- KILLING SPREE (Last updated: 03/05/09)
This is an element which I was intending to include separately, but as it isn't really classified as a mission, I decided to put this in as a bonus. icon14.gif
A very fun and addictive challenge where you gain points by killing enemies. The objective is to eliminate all the enemies you can before you die and aim to get the best score! My best is 22. I got 19 on the video shown below tounge2.gif
I got this idea from the 'Nazi Zombies' mode in 'Call of Duty 5', instead of levels, its judged on the amount of kills!
Just like the mode in COD5, there are many ways to help you increase your score. Weapons are scattered all around the area and collecting them can create a different experiance each time you play. smile.gif

Killing each enemy in the challenge now earns the player $100. Hospital fees are also payed off at the end when you die so that you don't end up wasting money you earned. Note, this is another way of earning realistic amounts of money. icon14.gif

- AK47
- Shotgun
- Molotov
- Rocket Launcher






EDIT: Best is now 26 by getting the rocket laucher turn.gif
Hopefully once the mod is ready to download, you can submit your scores and I can set up a leaderboard. The player can now view their own record in the statistics menu. icon14.gif

- Car Showroom (Last updated: 01/05/09)

Ability to finally buy vehicles at the car showroom in the game. Prices range from cheap to expensive depending on the vehicle. This script is here thanks to Ghost Bear.

- HQ Radar Icons (Last updated: 09/06/09)
High res 64*64 radar icons are now placed in game.

- Interior additions (05/05/09)
Currently, three interiors have been put in the mod, and they are all here thanks to OnePiece. Took some time extracting and putting in without any bugs but it was so worth it. tounge2.gif This will help with the purchasing properties addition where more places can now be bought.

- Collision Corrections (01/05/09)

The rooftops of Love media building and Kenji's casino are now 100% solid. Thanks to rmws' col skills, everything from bridges to pools are solid. There is no invisible floor. This will be used in the mod and will help with the properties feature. icon14.gif

I have decided to create a hud icon to use for the purchasing properties feature. The dollar sign does the job nicely here with a few photoshop edits. Size of the icon is 64*64. =]

- Purchasing Properties (08/06/09)
Currently at a very alpha stage, again don't expect much yet. This is an element that guarantee to add ways to spend and use money earned in the game. The baseline script is completed and therefore it is now easier to add properties. The video below shows the first test of my code and I have shown two properties. The Hyaku dojo unlocks the infinitive run feature and the ability to enter and drive the previous owner's vehicle (Parked at back and not shown in video sorry). Ray's hideout unlocks the ability to save at the location. A pistol is also spawned there just as one would at the usual safe houses. icon14.gif

- So far the script is bug free



Current properties with their rewards:
  • Ray's Hideout
    - Adds a new save point.
    - Adds weapons to spawn at property.
    - Adds a new garage to store any vehicle.
    - Player receives bullet proof Patriot.
  • Hyaku Dojo
    - Player receives the ability to run continuously.
    - A Special colored Kuruma is parked at the back of the dojo.
  • Donald Love's Building
    - Adds a new save point.
    - Adds a new location to visit.
    - Adds weapons to spawn at property.
  • Aspatria Docks
    - Boats now spawn at dock. (Very useful as it is close to Shoreside Vale)
  • Self Storage Area
    - Adds a new save point.
    - Adds weapons to spawn at property.
    - Adds a bunch of garages to store your vehicles! biggrin.gif (6 Slots!)
  • Bus Garage
    - Adds a new save point.
    - Coaches and buses spawn at the garage
  • Apartments [There are many of these]
    - Adds a new save point.
    - Adds weapons to spawn at property*
    - Adds a new garage to store any vehicle*
* - Only at some apartments

- Taxi (09/04/09)
Currently at a very alpha stage, don't expect much. It is not possible to call a taxi like in IV. That is why I thought why not create taxi's spawned around the city. Currently I have not added the ability to choose the location to go to. Note that this will also add more ways to spend money in the game. icon14.gif

- You can hop into the taxi's with a press of a button.
- You have the ability to travel to a wide range of destinations.
- Taxi starts driving and then the screen fades. You are then at your destination.
- All fares are currently $50

Features that didn't make it:


In other words, the features that I tried in making but wern't success's of any sort.

- Vehicle Lock (09/04/09)
Ability lock your current vehicle. Had no success.

- Bodyguard Spawn
Ability to Spawn a bodyguard in the passenger seat whilst driving. Pretty handy as he is ready to do the work when you step out tounge2.gif
Had little if any, success.

- Taxi Transportation
Ability to hail for a a cab with a press of a button. Had no success.

FAQ:


Q: Is this mod compatible with my version of GTA3?
A: Absolutely, it has been fully tested with version 1.1.

Q: Is this mod compatible with any of my previous save games?
A: No, it is a mission mod and therefore it requires you to start a new game.

Q: Why have all the mission have been removed from this mod? Are there any new ones?
A: The missions have been removed as it is most likely that you have already completed the main storyline. This mod picks up from that so you can jump straight into the new content. There are now new missions and challenges, they should be listed in the features section.

Q: When is the mod scheduled to be released?
1.0 is now released to the public.

EDIT: You know when you put the controls to Classic to walk around like CJ, but how do you move camera? confused.gif

Awesome, but it would be better if you would work on mod more time, we would wait more time and had more features. But there pretty much features, so OK.
Also could you make realistic version, so I have to pay for bodyguard? And I can't change wanted level, and the rage mod ands after 30 seconds?

Thanks, there are new challenges, somthing that GTA3 never had. Read up. This is a mission mod, future plans on expanding it are not decided yet.

It's not being released yet, it's a work in progress. The rage mod is automaticly deactivated and you have to wait 30 seconds to use it again turn.gif

Nice but control wanted level is unrealistic confused.gif and i think a rage mode must be somthing like bonus ( like max payne bt) . And Bodyguard must cost .

I had no problem understanding you so don't worry wink.gif This is a mod that fits just about anything together smile.gif . So it can be more towards the arcade side but it could be a nice addition for the wanted level control. You don't have to enable it but there have been many times where I have wanted to stay at two stars no matter how many people I kill and I'm sure that many others would like the same. The rage mode is a bit like the max payne slo mo and takes time to replenish. Paying money for a bodyguard however is somthing I will take into consideration icon14.gif

but you sholud add a special feature while you are in Rage mode.. Temporal GodMode! like in scarface tounge.gif unlimited ammo too, But just when you are in Rage Mode cookie.gif

Haha, i'm not sure if it's possible to choose since the amount of peps are already spawned however it is possible to have 3 all the time instead of one icon14.gif . All I need is a four door sedan tounge2.gif

@edgar123: Read the bottom of the first post and my sig. This mod was mostly done over a year back and I just wanted to put it up on the mod showroom so my progress can be shown. The script for LCTT is not dead, a lot of effort was put into that so it will continue icon14.gif . Back on-topic...

Haha, I just put a random ped in to see if my code works. As I stated before the actor is already selected from the beginning and is roaming around the city. Which ped would you suggest?

umm i would suggest one of the Leone family mafia guy or a yakuza guy, both are good! and they are the closest guys to be Bodyguards in GTA3 tounge.gif

p.s i know my english sucks sometimes sad.gif

The mission experiance would be the same if I put them back in apart from the RAGE MODE and wanted level control. I suppose its somthing that could be considered in the future when my exams are over icon14.gif
The bodyguard is something that might not work, the code works as if its in a mission where its actually not.

Yeah, but there will be three challenges in total in the final version so don't worry, you can use it in them wink.gif . Oh and the last mission in the original GTA3 script is where the bodyguard could possibly come in handy.

I tried it but unfortunately no success, just instant game freeze. This is also the same reason why the bodyguard spawn feature didn't work. This is because classifying the player's vehicle as an item is very unstable.

Oh and I forgot to add, you can't assign a code just to any key on the keyboard. Unlike San Andreas, GTA3 can only be assigned to action buttons. For example, to enable the RAGE MODE feature I set it so that you hold the sprint and fire key to enable it.

Oh and the idea is good, I can consider it, and I'll see what I can do icon14.gif
