Advanced Car Actions 1.2
by Red_153D

Despite the name, this is a rather small modification, but still useful, in my opinion. It lets you operate the lights (dimmed, parking and hazard), as well as allows you to open the hood and trunk. This is my first mod for GTA IV, so any comments / suggestions are highly appreciated. Thanks to aru for his C++ ScripHook this mod is built on.

Most of this is already in the InGame trainer, but it's cool to have it separate.

cool I was looking for a "turn on/off light" mod. Most of them I have in inGame trainer, but assigning them to buttons makes it much easier to handle. Nice job icon14.gif
EDIT: I've just tried it out and it didn't work. GTA runs fine, but none of the buttons work.

Weird. It might have something to do with the keyboard layout (since I only tested this mod on the US-International one). I'll look into it later this day. Could you also please tell me what version of GTA IV you are using?

Can You add left/right indicator on/off. This mod only miss that. What's the difference in taxi lights?

Adding turn signals is probably impossible at the moment, since there aren't any native calls for them.
As for the taxi lights, these are simply taxi signs mounted on the roof of the cabs.

OK, so here's a release candidate for the next version. I've included an .INI file where you can set your own keys for all functions.

The default keys are as follows:

B - taxi lights
L - lights
K - parking lights
J - hazard lights
N - open/close hood
M - open/close trunk

Link removed - stable version is now available

Even a bit nicer.... thanks again.

Edit:
Sry, as an german keyboard user I am also not able to enjoy your mod.
I play GTAIV 1.0.2.0. without any "magic" patches or file replacements.
I only use ASI-mods... caused by there simplicity (in use, have no clue about the effort to build one up^^) and functionality.

I hope you can manage to fix this small problem. Your mod looks more promising for me than these trainers which are some kind of overwhelming by their "uberfunctionality"... I mean ..too much in them.

Wish you all the best... I stay tuned^^.

I'm using european keyboard as well, and tried every single button ingame, but none of them worked. I have patch 1.0.2.0. as well, and would really like to get this mod working wink.gif

For windows up and down use heal car to move windows back. Anyway I'd really like an indicator mod, but I think it's not possible (yet smile.gif) Thanks man for the mod, it works very good. I love to cruise with parking lights.

me, too. i have exactly the same opinion.
exspecially i like to drive with the oracle and on-turned parkinglights

also a way to open/close and unlock/lock car doors would be very cool

I'll start working on it as soon as aru releases his updated C++ ScriptHook. I really can't do anything else at the moment.

Do you really need .net scripthook for enabling some lights? I mean wouldn't an asi mod be good (damn was this correct)?
