Finally got my hands on GTA3 steam exe that can be properly analyzed. Right now I'm adding full steam version support for all Xbox mod scripts and I have nearly finished my work, only HUD switch code is left to do.
When I'm done, I will pack the files and upload them on gtagarage as Update 2.1. Hopefully the patch will fix all bugs for steam version users.

Fantastic! Thanks, man.

Try putting the updates into the GTAIII folder and "Run as administrator" for both update 1 and 2. It should be able to extract the files successfully. Thereafter, you'll be able to enjoy the mod in its full glory.

The mod itself, though, did not work when I tried to put in the GTA III folder. I had to copy the files over to my own folder. Does that matter? Will have to do the same thing with the updates?

The Xbox mod is an installer on its own and it should be able to install the right directory by default unless you are using an x64 OS, in which case you have to direct the installer to C:\Program Files (x86)\Xbox mod for etcetc...

Update 2.1 has been uploaded to gtagarage, but we still need to wait for admin's approval.

This update is for GTA3 Steam version users, that means if you own a disc version of GTA3 there is no need to install this patch.

The most common problem I've seen occurs when you select the installation directory, especially with the Steam version.

If you pick your GTA 3 installation folder and click "Select", then the installer ADDS and extra folder called "GTAIII" onto the location. If you don't catch it during selection and delete it, then it copies all the files to a folder called "GTAIII" inside your GTA 3 folder.

To put it another way:
My GTA 3 folder is
C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto 3\

The installer by default looks at
C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTAIII\

If I select "Browse" and select my GTA 3 folder shown above, the install directory changes to:
C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto 3\GTAIII\

If I don't delete out that extra "GTAIII" that the installer tacks onto the end, then the installer creates the GTAIII directory and puts all the files there, which doesn't DO anything, obviously.

So close! I can see where it says "Last Update: Today", but it hasn't shown up in the list yet. Just waiting for the admins, I guess.

If all I want is the extra song in Double Cleff FM, is it a simple matter to just install that part of the mod?

Sorry if this was covered already, but searching through 70-odd pages of posts is just too daunting.

I apologize for not really being familiar with GTAGarage.com, but how long does the admin approval process usually take?

From what I've seen in other topics the turnaround is much higher for the older GTA games. Somebody has to reinstall it first...

Yes, this is exactly what happens when I install Mod 1.0. Thanks for explaining it so clearly.

Also, for this 2.1 update. I would still have to install all previous updates? Including the steam fix of Update 1?

This is so frustrating, it's been 5 days and still no approval. For that reason I updated the update elsewhere. Download.

Yes, you must have Xbox mod v1.0 + Update 1 (also Steamfix) + Update 2 installed before applying the latest patch.

Any chance to have a full installer if you plan to put on hold the mod, or when finished?

Is anyone else running the Steam version getting the HUD reflected on cars when ENB is active? (ENB reading from wrong framebuffer?)

I'm pretty sure I followed the instructions. (Install 1.0, Update 1, SteamFix, Update 2, Rebuild imgs, Copy files from 2.1 zip, copy d3d8.dll from backup)

It is possible to fix this glitch, just open enbseries.ini file, find UseCurrentFrameReflection line and change the value to 1. However, there is a problem with this option - after enabling it not all map objects will be reflected.

Awesome mod.
Did you planning to add some new skins?
Making skins for classic claude is more simple, than for xbox claude.

Can you upload it in another host?

First of all, thanks for making this incredible mod!

I have a humble request, and that is to add another mirror for the steam update of this mod.
The maximum allowed downloads have been reached on the current one and I'd like to play NOW! biggrin.gif

Please?

This mod Is awesome! Just this one thing. You should make the peds High-polygonal because I can CLEARLY see the polygons on the peds and in the XBOX version of GTA3 they look very smooth. And one more thing, can you try and convert the XBOX version of the DEADDODO because even though the DEADDODO flies really high there are still some missions that you get to see the DEADDODO up close and it is really ugly.

Can you at least see that if there is a real difference between the PC & the XBOX version of the DEADDODO rmws.?

There is no visible difference between Xbox and PC version model. However, the polygon count is slightly lower on Xbox version which is quite a surprise.

Wow. What a surprise. Can you at least add a rotor animation to the deaddodo because Rockstar was too lazy to add one. And don't change the rotors because they are unique.
