Extreme Hills aren't new, they've been in Minecraft for a long time now, that picture is just to show that Jeb is working on (and possibly fixed, or atleast nerfed) the bug where there's random areas which are just pitch black when they shouldn't be.

Spruce Trees spawn on Extreme Hills. They didn't spawn there before.

@Valenta: If I'm not mistaken, skeletons can fight between themselves too.

And this is some experimental tower I did searching for ways to cultive the maxium and fastest possible in the smallest space disponible (at that time I had the safouse inside the top of a mountain and the surrounding area was covered by snow). The idea was to use the water (kept in a deposit in the roof) in order to harvest all the floors but it didn't work as expected confused.gif

I was continuing to expand my cave (and waste Oak Planks & Slabs) and now it looks like I will have to nuke the end of the cave because there is no space to build the stairs anymore.

Also, I found a random hole under my house that I covered after mining Coal (or Iron, don't remember) at the very beginning and now, for no reason, I made it a secret room to store all valuable stuff like Saddles, Enchanted Books, Diamonds, Ender Pearls, etc. even though I play alone.

Just spent like an hour trying to get a Wither Skull... f*ck they're hard to get, it's such a tedious task to do...

For some reason, on my old world (which became a cheatfest so I had to end this), Wither Skulls were more common. In around 2 hours I had all 3 skulls. (I didn't summon the wither because after that I got my hands on Single Player commands and all I did was fly around the map on godmode, adding myself experience for books & other stuff to kill the Dragon (that I didn't even got to kill because I decided to stop playing) and mining all diamonds I could find and if my pick broke, I spawned a new one) It was on 1.5. Now (1.6.2), I killed like a hundred Skeletons and none of them even dropped a Skull or Stone Sword. Once I'm finished with my "cave", I'll go to the nether and try again.

Wither Skeletons have been pretty common in my Nether Fortress, actually, along with some regular skeletons.

^ You should get some TNT. Mining large places is easier and faster with it (Unless you need Cobblestone).

Yes. It costs a lot of Wooden Planks but looks nice.

Someone needs to help me. This enderman has been following me for 4 in game nights. In the day, he doesn't do sh*t, and every night he suddenly attacks me and before I can hit him he teleports.

Wait for him to sneak up on you and when he gets close enough (attacks you) bash him as much as possible. If you see him walking towards you, don't try to hit him with a sword or he will teleport away. You can also go into water and swim out somewhere, wait until he despawns and return.

Are lighting bolts something new in the game? Today I almost got hit by one (it fell at short distance from me and set on fire the grass but due to the rain it was put out. Then one of the buildings I've been building caught fire while I was away so I guess it was a lighting again... This had never happened before to me confused.gif

Nope lightning has been in the game for quite a while now, you can get hit but it's pretty rare. I've been playing the game for years and only once have one of my building taken fire damage from it.

Now if GTAV comes out on next gen I can fully bin current gen consoles.

I heard they were looking into some kind of migration tool to transfer worlds to next gen, or did I dream that?

I haven't read much into it, but assuming all of the console versions use the same engine, they might be compatible. Probably not compatible the other way around though.

- When in the Nether, Snow Golems will melt and die same as when they are in Desert biomes.
- Abandoned Mineshafts can generate with wooden bridges now when generated over a cave or over top another tunnel.
- Doors have been updated so that double doors work better with Redstone.
- Added a Favorites tab to the Skin Selector menu, storing most recently used skins.
- Added support for Texture Packs and Mash-up Packs, and display of these in the Minecraft Store.

Fixes

- Fixed local player shadows not being displayed.
- Fixed a few issues with the Privileges settings.
- Fixed visible seams in clouds.
- Fixed 3rd person camera issues with water, where the underwater filter would be randomly removed.
- Fix for structures generating at the edge of a world.
- Fix for putting enchanted items in a Minecart With Chest and destroying it removes the enchantments.
- Fix for breaking a bow having improper animation.
- Fix to make Minecarts run at the correct speed.
- Fixed a few memory leaks.
- Fixed issue with “Can Open Containers” option.
- Fixed issues with “Can Build and Mine” option.
- Fixed Issue with TNT blocks being triggered by explosions even with “TNT explodes” option off.
- Fixed Wolves not tilting their heads when the player has a bone in their hand.
- Fixed the color of Potion particles status effect to match the Potion color.
- Fix for doors spitting in half and glitching in open/closed motion when mined.
- Fixed artifacts on edge of flames when in first person.
- Fixed a lot of game lighting issues.
