Looking good. ^

Thought I would build a few things of my own in my friends World:

Saw somebody on YouTube build a massive tree, so me and a friend did one of our own (we removed the vines in the end)

Above the bedrooms, there are two floors with storage space and these fella's:

We then cleared some land to start building a town, but then I went a little crazy and ignored him, and went for my own build:

This is the start of my cathedral, I will have more screenies on it tomorrow probably as it's almost finished (was a working progress at this stage)

Here's what I've been up to:

user posted image
I expanded Cedar City, and gave it a water tower and a few extra skyscrapers (they're not very tall, but whatever). I'm glad I got to take the picture at night, because it's a lot more beautiful that way.

user posted image
The city hall was is a really weird spot, so I decided to move it, and moving the original in MCEdit would have been difficult because it was covered in other buildings (you can sort of see how buildings literally pile up in the above picture), so I decided to rebuild (they also didn't have quartz when I originally built it). It's going to be small because clearing out that mountain next to it would take me an hour, and that was the only decently sized space left in the city area. I'm not completely sure how I want to build it, but I've got it so everything's going to be symmetrical, unlike with most of my work. smile.gif

user posted image
And here's a skyscraper you couldn't see behind the water tower. Iroically (ironic because it's so simple and mechanical looking) it's one of the two towers in that city that was built by hand. I had read about brutalist architecture that day, so I wanted to build something in that style (I'll add fortress-like horns later so it's not so boring), and it's a throwback to the first tower I built on that save which was small and completely made of stone as well.

Next up is hospital building, finishing up the largest building on that save (a 63x63x??? octagonal convention center/transportation hub in the middle of nowhere that so far only has a base and entrance tunnel), and I'll be working on filling up the space I cleared out for another city elsewhere.

Just finished filming the final session before episode 100 of my Minecraft LP. Amazingly, I only have 36 uploaded so far.

Here's a sneak preview of my home in the future. I turned on creative mode to get better views.

Turned a corner and there it was. My first sighting of diamonds in Survival.
EDIT: On my way back from mining this, I came across a block of emerald. To say I was estactic is an understatement.

I've spent so long on this, It's all been made by me mainly with quartz. I built the whole circle upwards myself except using MCedit for the bottom layer (to give myself guidance because i'm sh*te at circles) It's obviously not done yet as you can see in the pictures, I still have details in the circle to add plus the famous dome. I got the amount of pillars correct and tried to build it as accurately as I could.

Played the demo online at the site, It's okay here are some screens:

user posted image

So I played one day, hunting pigs and stuff, managed to get some wood and dirt and flower(I don't know how the hell I got flower) then I decided to
swim to the other Island far away then I got stuck and couldn't find a place to build a shelter for the night, it was nearly evening when I found the spot, I built a quite horrible shelter using wood and dirt.

user posted image

Couldn't resist taking a peek out in the night and some sh*tty creature spotted me and I managed to take a pic just before I died. I am having a hell lot of trouble crafting sadly. sad.gif

Might play it again some other time. My minecraft account is Xpert_Gamer2000 if anyone is interested.

Absolutely pissed with how this cathedral turned out. Started off building the front and then went out for the evening, came back drunk and started on the rest of it; must have spent about 6 hours on it drunk and rushed it

Man, I came in here a few weeks ago to ask about a dungeon I found (underneath my fortress) and how I can find a Stronghold. Well, I have been playing on the same map ever since I have purchased Minecraft (360 edition) but low and f*cking hold the stronghold was infact underneath my fortress the whole time! My wife and I built the fortress together when we first started, before I even knew two sh*ts in a porta-potty about Minecraft. What are the odds? I am rebuilding the stronghold, once that happens I'm off to find pearls to open the portal.

Is there any way of having Minecraft run at 60fps at max settings?
I tried normal one but when I set Smooth Lightning to maximum, the game lags so heavy, it's almost unplayable (at least it's not as bad as 1.6 snapshots, here i need to have medium draw distance with no smooth lightning, no particles). You can see that it's over 80fps but the game wierdly lags.
user posted image
Now I tried playing with more RAM and it lags less at max settings (includes Smooth Lightning and full screen) but it runs at 30-40 fps making it a bit wierd.
user posted image
I am so confused. Any tips to run the game smooth? I didn't have that probem before.

Going on building topic: I just found a Dungeon straight underneath my house. It had Zombie Spawner with 2 saddles, random stuff and Efficiency IV Enchanted Book. Not sure if i'm lucky or blind.

What you're referring to is microstuttering, and it's mostly because Minecraft is far too large of a game for Java and Mojang is too stubborn to code it on a proper language like C++, despite the fact that people have been asking for this since before the game was widely known and popular.

Well, I know how much y'all love ravines, so here's some X-Rays (taken with the glowstone piston glitch, no hax) from the GTAF server. When I first found my mushroom island rhyn said there was a mine shaft but I wasn't expecting this! Me and Chase explored only about half it (lit portion of screen 2) and encountered NINE FREAKING SPAWNERS already! 5 are close enough you could make an xp farm that utilized them all.

*Note also this house was a legit build. It took me three weeks to get this far. It got
bigger with a full train station with a rail to my quarry and an automatic farm. Sadly
the save got deleted and the house was lost.

I do prefer games on discs but I won't be paying for it again. Runs smoothly enough from the arcade for me.
