Great, but i dunno why there now comes a 182.05 (Feb 10) instead of the leaked 185.20 !

So, which one is better ? It must be the 182.05, i will give it a try...

i wouldnt bother with beta drivers personally it wont be long before there out soon anyway, it could potentially cause more problems/less stability and its unlikely to give you much of a gain and considering the final version may have more small improvements

waste of time really unless of course you actually want to test them and report back to nvidia

http://uk.download.n...tional_beta.exe (just renamed the vista to xp and the 64 to 32...)

to the drivers: they are great. removed texture flickering here, shadow flickering is still there :x
sh*tty GTA Benchmark says its +2FPS...but for me the performance gain is like...not very much wink.gif

And for the moment they are stable...and now my videoplayer-artefacts are gone biggrin.gif

What was your benchmark score with 181.22? I haven't downloaded this yet as I need to be sure it's worth it.

Nothing wrong with this driver, still hacking at 64-65FPS in the benchmark capped by "crappy" i7- CPU and only 2-way SLI , need the 6-core westmere 32nm now.
Never had any problem with nvidas beta, always running at the beta i find best for the purpos. WHQL stamps means nothing for anything on nvidas driver to me at it is just the same as the beta with same number but with the official certification.

Oh and anyone mind doing comparison benchmarks between these drivers and the 185.20 BETAs?

Who, me?
Highest that i can without using commandline to cheat the memoryusage above 1GB and create memoryissues that crash the game.
Have not yet installed the third card, it is not possible to use 3x dubbleslotcard on the RIIE in the CosmosS, need to rebuild the lowest card to true singleslot to make it fit or remove the PSU, that parts is a few days away. Is gonna make the bench then that i said i would do but onestly i dont expect the bench to make a difference, perhaps the FPS is gonna be stuck at 60FPS in every part of the map but the bench will show this.

Sorry man, didn't see that. Seems like a 1 frame drop, but surely there is no difference in gameplay? All that can help us now is a third and hopefully final patch from Rockstar.

+/- 1 FPS doesn't matter, gameplay is smooth about 35-45 FPS
but CPU usage increased from 72 to 84%

Its been hard for me to judge on this driver, framerate seems to be slightly lower (maybe 1 or 2fps) but the artifacting of certain things seems to have gone. Looks like this driver is a double edged sword.

No BSODs though so far, got loads of them with the 181.22's

Hehe you dont wanna know, i dont wanna know thats for sure. Something like 3700-4500€ over the years for the parts i still using, just wc-parts alone is like 800€ if i remember correct. I got one 280SC for "free" as it was a step-up from a sh*tty 9800GX2 and the last 280SC was cheap so i could not refuse it and there is no 280 no more and 285 not that big of speedbump that a 280 can fix it and SLI 280 with 285 is a no go.
I cant justify the parts but since i can buy them i see no reson not to go for it even if they are expensive but it will last me until GT300 refresh/R890 or whatever the DX11 part is and SSD are mature enough for my taste.

Come on in and take it, insurance gives me an EVGAX58 classified and 3xGTX285 rolleyes.gif
There is sevral reson why 9800Gx2 suck, not only low Vram and even GTX295 and HD4870X2 can be accounted for the same reson even if they are mutch better than Gx2.

this i know and totally agree with .. oh an insurance job wink.gif yeah the gx2`s are great cards (considering i had one 8800gt before now have quad sli) when the drivers are doing their stuff , but line them against most mid to high end cards they just have too many problems and just not enuff umpff . and for the price its just not cake .

but i will say i havent ever owned a more powerfull set up and very happy with it , and i have never had any real issues running any game , its just knowing sometimes i cant to maxxxxx everything out and have uber fps.

i will stand by my purchases and seeing the new line of dual cards and nvidia releasing drivers at a very good rate i wont count sli out just yet smile.gif

* oh and im mainly talking quad sli compared to my old 8800gt
