Hi,

This is my WIP of CJ skin replacement

the face texture in 512pix

using my own CJ SkinTweak v2 facial as base, and paint the details manually (non photo based)

have been using wacom Intuos tablet for the last 4 years, recently the pen was broken,
while waiting for d replacement. just realized how much dependent I've become to this thing.

So this is my first try on skinning somewhat a higher res again without a tablet in Photoshop


the body will be edited after I finish the face (with all the hairstyles).

I planned to release these as a png textures, everytime I finish a texture I put it here rather than packing the whole set since it will be too long and this way I'm open & more flexiblel for any suggestion on individual set.

yup since all the facial hair is done (at least most of them, I still have some ideas, but maybe I'll use that on tramline cut) now is time to do the hair

Looks really good cant wait to see the torso but you should change the whole hair on the head looks really low res with the old

btw what technique did you use to create the facial hair?

Edit: forgot. fix some texture for teeth and eyes and it will be perfect

facial hair technique?, the tedious one >> one pixel brush in low oppacity around 18% done in quick short strokes and layered, I did that with mouse while my nose touching the monitor to see the details

hahahha very good. I've seen people doing beards and stuff it just looks crap, but yours is very good

here is the cornrows


the blonde one is not as sharp as I wanted it to be, since it is start flickering in game when I made it too sharp (really looks like fire works, weird) so I blend it with the old textures too reduce the sharpness, however the black cornrows looks great

about eyebrows;
noted the eyebrows change yeah, the original CJ has to much gap between his eyebrows, and it is raised somehow that make him either look innocent or stupid, so most of the time I made him wear glasses
so I changed them to be thinner but longer, and angled downward to make him look sharp, glad it worked

about fireworks;
did you mean "macromedia firework"? no I don't use it (what I mean is since the cornrow was done with 1 pixel brush, so everything was too crisp, in game the texture can't be shown properly, its start flickering, each pixel competing each other, and looks like xmas tree lamp or fireworks, so I toned done the contrast, and it worked)

here is the body textures,
I decided to make it in 512 res, but then the game can't load, so I resized back to 256, it works, and to me it already look decent, since the scaling down is better than working directly in the small res


the arm part is the most troublesome, but at the end it looks quite good to me

the body textures not working cause all the clothing textures must be the same resolution as body textures
I have all the player.img textures resized (x3), could you upload 512x512 body textures please?

i still cant get over that beard lol, do you have some plans about clothes? or other parts? that would be awesome, but yet again, you've already made success lulz.

Can you post download of your player.img please? I'm too lazy to edit these textures with TXD workshop
