Activate the cheat, then target any ped you see and he`ll turn into the hitman and start to attack you with his gun !
I know you expect more from me, so of course that`s not all this cheat does. lol.gif
Just ignore the hitman, kill him, run away from him, whatever he`s not important.
After you created this first hitman the real fun starts.

Because every now and then a random ped who gets in your sight will automatically become the next hitman !
This means, that random people start attacking you without any warning.
There can always be only one hitman, so this means if you drive far enough away from the last killer the Cheatdevice randomly chooses another nearby ped to be the next hitman !
And you`ll always be chased by some psycho maniac with an AK whose only goal is making your live a dissaster. Lol

Whatch out, he`ll always appear in the moments, when you`re not expecting it ! devil.gif

It`s really funny and if you want me to, I`ll make more versions of it where he has different weapons.
Just tell me what weapon you would like him to have !

I did not make this cheat on purpose, it was nothing more than a quick cheatcode I created to test and fix the equip peds with weapon cheat, which sometimes crashes.
Anyways, while using this to test the ped weapon cheat I`m going to use in the custom missions I noticed, that it was actually fun to have random peds starting to attack you, it remembered me of Ma`s hitmen in LCS.
So I thought you folks might enjoy it aswell and decided to post it.

Dude you must have some insane esp because I was thinking a code like that would be awesome personaly I had alot of fun repelling the hitmen from lcs lol

Ok, I`ll do it for you ! Give me a few minutes, this really doesn`t take long !
I just have to change two numbers to give him another weapon.

By the way, I`ve noticed, that the hitman appears more often if the first ped you targetted with the cheat activated is a rare one.
Like the Ambulance drivers, the soldiers at Fort Baxter, just any ped which does not appear too often !

And it seems to crash, if you try to enter an interior while the hitmen are after you !

Oh yeah, you know, it`s probably the good old "game crashes when ped gets equipped with a weapon" bug, which I still couldn`t figure out how to fix... confused.gif

I really need to get this working without any crashes, because so many cheats I`ve created and still want to create make use of the equip ped with weapon cheat.

Sorry about this mate, but I`m still working on it and I hope to find the cause of this stupid crash soon.

Just wondering, how did you access certain game files (I remember you finding some ped crouching files). Did you use an ISO files and if so, how did you actually read the files?

I`ve simply extracted the VCS ISO with UMDGEN and then opened the files it contains with a hexeditor like Hexworkshop to get a rouge insight on what stuff the files contain.
But don`t get too excited, there`s a serious drawback in the GTA Stories games compared to other GTAs.
You won`t find the typical default.ide cargrp.dat etc. we all know from previous GTAs.
All the files are encrypted and compressed into fileformats we`ve never seen before.
As far as I know all those .ide and .dat files which were so easy to modify in the other GTAs are hidden inside a file called game.dtz which nobody (except some russian guy who won`t share his knowledge) has succeded in extracting yet.

Even the Main.scm is encrypted in some non-readable format, so the only way to edid it is to compare it with the Main.scm files from other GTAs and guess what the lines of code might do !
DeeZire the author of the great "Things to do in San Andreas" Mod was able to decrypt some of the Sidemissions from LCS and VCS Main.scm to use them in his Mod.

And for the crouching thing, that`s stored inside a bunch of files called Anim1.anim, Anim2.anim etc. which are found inside the GTA3PSP.img file which also contains all the modell and texture files of the game (Except those from the Map itself which have their own .img files).

I`ve extracted the GTA3PSP.img with Dustcrazys YAIE img extractor.
But the only working edits I`ve made with VCS are character and weapon modell/texture replacements and some small Main.scm edits.
Nothing big there, to say so...

I`m sorry to disappoint you, but I doubt there`s much you can do with VCS files as long as nobody writes a tool to decrypt them. confused.gif

I`ve tried to replace some other anim with the crouching one, but it made no change at all.
When I started the game the animation I replaced was still the same. icon13.gif

Why did they encrypt every usefull file in this stupid game ?
In every other GTA game they had no problem with readable (and hackable) files.
Even the PSP version of Manhunt 2 wasn`t encrypted at all, but why did they do it with GTA ?
I`m sorry but it just makes me angry that they made it next to impossible to modify the portable versions of my all time favorite game series !!! sneaky2.gif

Another Version of the Hitmen cheat which also works without targetting a ped first ! This one is absolutely crash free, because I didn`t gave the himen weapons in this one, instead I activated R*`s peds have weapons button cheat to give all peds, including the hitmen weapons:

I just recently browsed through the old Cheat Development Topic again and saw a very cool pointer, found by Durka Durka Mahn while looking for some interesting things in that good old topic !

It`s the pointer to the object which is the nearest to Vics position !

So I just came up with this funny little cheat:

Holding the LTRIGGER will set the object ID +1 / -1.
Holding the RTRIGGER will set the object ID +100 / -100.
Holding LTRIGGER and RTRIGGER will set the object ID +1000 / -1000

The currently choosen object`s ID will be displayed as the number on your money meter !
Now every object you get near to will turn into the one your money meter is displaying !

It`s very funny, try it with the Pinata Man (ID 7313) or the Explosive Barrel (ID 450) for example !

It should work with all objects you can place in the Construction Mode !
And it will affect all of them aswell, which means every lamppost, barrel, crate, wooden bench etc. you get near to will transform into whatever you want !

If you need help to find out the object ID of the object you want to appear activate the the following cheat.
You just need to touch an object while this cheat is active and it`s object ID will be displayed in your money meter !

I`ve made the cheat start with ID 450 (the explosive barrel) when you first turn it on.
Just make sure you DO NOT select any number lower than 330, because that`s where the cars and peds start !
The cheat works without any crashing, you just need to make sure, that you select an OBJECT ID !
Not a CAR, PED or BUILDING one !
If you try to use the ID of a Car, Ped or Building it will either make nothing appear, which means the objects next to you will simply dissappear, or even worse, it might crash the game !

It might also help to choose an object ID while there are no objects near you which might turn into whatever the moneymeter displays. It has not happend yet, bút I have the feeling that this eventually could crash the game because there are some numbers in between which always crash the game if you try to spawn them.
As I said I haven`t encountered any crashes yet, but some numbers crash in the Construction Mode, so I`m almost sure that they will crash in this cheat aswell !

You can find out the vehicle ID`s if you look at the Cheatdevices builtin Carspawn Cheat.
The number which is displayed there, right before the vehicle name is the ID.

It`s not a very usefull cheat, but I created/posted it anyways.
I`ve done this while playing around with carspawning and just decided to release it.
It`s actually quite funny to speed around on a PCJ-600 inside the Mall !
You have to enter through one of the doors which are NOT next to the BMX to make it work !
Otherwise the game will still spawn the BMX.
There might be a little problem with very big vehicles like the tank, for example !
They might get stuck inside the "Win this Bike" thingy (Can`t find the right word, lol) where the BMX normally spawns.
Use Step Through Walls to get them out !
The only really bad thing is, that you can`t start the "Mashing up the Mall" sidemission with other vehicles, that might have been funny, but whatever !

Just have fun with it and remember:

DON`T SELECT NUMBERS BELOW 170 OR HIGHER THAN 279 . THEY CRASH THE GAME, BECAUSE YOU CAN ONLY SPAWN CARS USING THIS CHEAT !

Hey, now here`s something you might find interesting !

I`ve found an unused vehicle in the game, which has not been found before !
(Atleast nobody has taken any notice of it yet !)

It`s a superfast version of the Speeder boat !

When I found this, it just recently made me remenber that good old mission from GTA VC called "The fastest Boat".

So I made this little cheat, which spawns the fastest boat of VCS at the Boatyard down at the Docks:

It looks exactly like the normal Speeder, but it has no name displayed, if you enter it and it`s about 10 times as fast, as the normal one ! devil.gif

It seems to have a problem with the high speeds though. whatsthat.gif
Because it`s too light, it will go straight up in the air when you go from 0 to 100 (probably even higher) to say so !
To avoid this problem, you should set the Cheatdevices Rocketboost to -2.
The boat will still be a lot faster than the normal Speeder, but not so much that it raises into the air ! cool.gif

I think this version of the Speeder is used in the mission, where you have to rescue Lance from the ship at the Docks.
Remember, when you watch over Lance with the Binoculars ?
The dealer will take Lance to his Speeder boat and bring him to the big ship.
His Speeder is faster than the normal ones, so I guess it`s the one I just discovered !

I just found out, that the Turn any Object into another one cheat also affects pickups !
And while browsing through the different pickups of VCS I came across a MOBILE PHONE pickup.

It even has it`s own HUD icon, wich is orange, just like that of the teargas grenades and the beta minigun:

It`s unused in the game, just like the phone to head animation:

The good old adrenaline pill, which slows down the game for some Matrix like action:

Wow, thats too cool, they probably replaced the cell phone with the pager because sound files take up more space then the beeper animation, and lets face it the poor UMD is pushed to the max for the game anyway, lol. Would you mind possibly posting the code to replace a safehouse weapon with the phone, I'd like to check it out

Oh, wow, the camera cheat spawn is awesome, i have been looking for one of those for ages. Thanks, does it work? Because sometimes with cheats like that you have no ammo.

Heh, believe it or not, you can take exactly 600 photos with it !

Edit: Sorry, that`s not always true...

It seems to vary, depending on what weapon transforms into it.
It only has 600 shots if the armor pickup transforms into it.

But it always has ammo, that`s for sure. icon14.gif

Well actually I have to say no.

The phone, beta minigun, keycard and suitcase have no ammo.

The suitcase and keycard were just "one-time" pickups, used in missions.
You know, something like "Kill the gangleader and take his keycard" to progress in or finish the mission.

The phone and beta minigun don`t have ammo, because they are basically removed from the game.
Their pickups are still in the game, but they don`t work anymore.
If you collect them nothing happens, because it`s simply not programmed into the game to make anything happen if you collect them. confused.gif

The keycard is from kill phil part 2 when you have to take the keycard to get into the basement. Not sure about the suitcase though?

Yep, that`s right.

Have you noticed, that the keycard has some VCPD related stuff printed on it ?

That`s because the same keycard was also used in GTA VC in the mission where you had to free Cam Jones from the Police HQ.
To open his cell you needed a keycard and guess what, it`s exactly the same one !

Looks like R* was too lazy to replace the keycard with a new one only for that short appearance in this one mission.
So they just used the one from GTA VC again.

The suitcase Spawn cheat I posted is wrong by the way.

What I mean is it spawns the wrong suitcase...
You sure have noticed, that it does not rotate, unlike other pickups !
The one the cheat spawns is no pickup, it`s a normal object, which can be found at the mansion on Prawn Island, to the left of the Mendez`s mansion for whatever reason...
I`ll search through the pickups again and post the correct cheat when I found it.

And the suitcase does appear in both GTA VC and GTA VCS by the way:

In VC you need to pick it up from a killed gangmember on the roof of the abandoned house on Prawn Island in the mission "Phnom Penh ’86".
In VCS it`s used in the drugdealing empire building missions.
If I remember correctly you sometimes had to kill some dealers and take the suitcase containing the drugs in a few of these missions.

Edit: Ok I just tried the turn one object into another code, and I got this error

address out of range: setshort(pspawn + 0x56, pobject);

I checked twice and I copied the code line for line
