Epic game.
I was very surprised by the end as well..
I'm also surprised every time R* releases a game like this, so much attention went into details.
For example, last night I was playing, some dude on a horse passed me by, and suddenly he stopped, jumped from his horse and started running into the bushbush. I was like, wtf? So I went after him. He ran to the nearest tree, and started pissing. I laughed my ass off.

I wasn't huge on the treasure maps myself, but I looked around for them and found most of them anyway. Rather easy if you just ride around.

Agree. I actually had most trouble finding the first one but I had hoped that they would become somewhat harder to find.

Is there a list of rewards you earn for doing challenges/tasks etc? What is the 100% reward?

I started playing liar's dice earlier and it's very addictive. I have yet to win tounge.gif but it's fun. Horseshoes is also good, but when i place my bet high enough to make it interesting it becomes impossible.

Liar's Dice is so piss easy. Too bad you can only bet $20 except for that one Stranger mission

I never said it's hard haha i'm usually in a better position at the start sometimes having all my dices while the other guy has 1-2, but then i mess up. But yeah, i'm just getting the hang of it.

I'm crawling through this game so slowly, and just exploring/helping people etc. This game is so amazing and just keeps getting better for me. I keep telling myself I'll turn it off in a few minutes but something grabs my attention and I just can't leave! Honestly best game I have ever played... and I've barely progressed into the story yet. Briefly went on MP last night to check it out but not much was going on, but it seems like it'll be really awesome when I get into it.

And I haven't seen any real glitches yet either, some people seem to get a lot more than others. PS3 here btw.

Playing this game without the radar/map is ridiculous. Just got into blackwater and played a few missions... I felt lucky just finding my room in the saloon.

Are there any good myths about this game yet? Like Leatherface or Bigfoot in San Andreas?

The ghost town Tumbleweed is a good place to start, I guess!

I really enjoy this game aside from one thing,

Bonnie McFarlane's ridiculously pointless missions. Seriously, this is supposed to be a shooting game and yet she has me doing her chores for her! That mission where you have to herd the horses is driving me mad! And there isn't any other missions available on the map. I'm really struggling with it because the damn horses run everywhere.

Wtf is with R* and their glitchy games, I mean everytime I fail a mission and retry, after the loading screen literally everying building, wall, plants ect. are invisible, and the ground's texture stays unloaded for about 15 seconds, it looks awful lol.

I just finished the story, and all I can say epic.

I already knew John was going to die (thanks to some idiots on here), but nonetheless was still a great ending. I thought the ending of GTA IV was emotional when Roman died, but R* really outdone themselves with the ending of RDR. I can see Jack as being the protagonist to the next game (if there's one).

Overall I really enjoyed it. I'm still going to play more of it to complete challenges, bounties etc though. This game still has plenty of life left in it.

Well done R*. I honestly give this game a 9.5 out of 10. Only mark against it is I feel some of the characters could've been in the game longer, and some of the glitches, but other than that fanatsic game. I seriously hope it's in the running for GOTY. icon14.gif

Also has anyone found the treasure maps a bit easy? The only one I had trouble with was the one near Rio Del Lobo . The others were pretty easy. With a few I just stumbled upon them without even looking for them. Don't get me wrong I'm not trying to brag, but I've seen people say how hard they are on other forums, and I just found them easier than what other people were finding.

If R* decide make a follow up to RDR, with more treasure maps I hope they make them harder. I think what made them a bit easy was they were all next to unique locations that stuck out like a sore thumb when you got near them. Maybe place them at places that blend in with the landscape, and don't stand out as much?

Well actually they're not pointless, because you use the skills you gain later on. Give it a bit more time. I think you unlock Marshall Johnson's missions fairly early.

Finished single player with 7.5% of random tasks left. Amazing game despite a couple quirks. First bout of multiplayer was interesting, ended up in a bunch of gang hideout matches with a random Scottish dude. Gotta say, that 100 points for using expert targetting really adds up!

In deathmatches, if I have my aim on Expert, do I still face those with theirs on other settings?

Yep. you might as well use "easy" or "normal" targeting in competitive MP until you reach level 15 and unlock the Hardcore Gang Match playlist. In that playlist the aiming is on expert for everyone.

When I first tried MP I was wondering why I was so easily killed then I realized that everyone else was rocking auto-aim even though I had expert on. AA gets especially annoying in Freemode when you're getting camped by a posse with them all wielding the high powered pistol. suicidal.gif

And does anyone else here hate Freemode as far as the combination of auto-aim, close spawns, and douchey posse members? Really ticks me off sometimes...
