Yes there has been an update, but no word from Rockstar on what was changed up to now. I checked the support forums as well but no mention yet.

Any word yet on what the update did? I checked Rockstar support forum for title update information, but last entry was 2014.

I don't understand what that is?
As far as I understand it's a programme to make Red Dead playable on PC.

It's an Xbox 360 emulator. Still a long ways to go, very complex development, but slowly getting there!

I can't help but expect a bear or cougar to come out of nowhere and maul me when this starts playing.

Was just riding near Brittlebrushe Trawl in Hennigan's Stead yesterday, and I heard gunshot so I slow down and while I was still moving on the left to the hill, a dead man appeared on the road just in front of me so I stopped, I heard more gunshot coming from behind me so I got off my horse and start moving slowly to the source of the gunshot while I was hiding and crouching in the bush; then I saw a men just here on the front looking to his left, and BOOM BOOM the guy just felt on the ground like a potatoes bag; then the men who shoot him came out of the bush on the right with his rifle running, so I try to follow him through the bush, manage to saw him escape on a horse who was my f*ckING HORSE lmao!
I was just like: whoa pure randomness, awesome! first time I see that, I mean there was no blip or anything, just some AI interacting with each other.

Very interesting ones there.
Also, if you haven't seen it before, the RDR map is being modded into GTA V PC!

In discussions on Twitter, our own LegacyKillaHD found on Reddit some very, VERY early screenshots of RDR, including concept stage screenshots on a developer's portfolio. As this happened and we started discussing it, the portfolio went partially down, but the pictures could be saved. Here's an imgur album made by Gypsy on Twitter that includes all of 'em:

There's footage directly from Rockstar's level editor, with test blocks for crouching, running, physics testing...

Also, a little revelation in the first picture. The artist mentions that was the "temp name for RDR2". If they coined Redemption AFTER they codenamed the game RDR2, it probably means that the "R2" meant Revolver 2.
Edit: This person was the origin of the name Red Dead Redemption!

Awesome finds Spider! It's always cool to see stuff like this, and it's amazing to think that one artists imagination for a title went on to become what everyone is waiting for today.
