I'm betting it's a patch to fix the missing hotdog vendors, or to make the clock work or something smile.gif

that would be poor because in my opinion there are several issues that need to be fixed. nervous.gif

It would make me very happy if they would make the shadows more realistic. This dotty sh*t gives me a headache.

That other topic is locked, no wonder you didn't see it, it's probably 9000 pages back wink.gif

Patch is not announced, and there's nothing on that page you linked except "Does this mean they are" lol.

I'd expect monthly patches for this game for quite some time to come...

Someone wrote that the missing textures will be solved, I really doubt it, it will be great and will make the game much more playable, but for this they need to optimize the textures which is a hard work.

QUOTE (from linked article)
A community member who contacted SecuROM support to complain about a DRM issue received a no-cd executable to fix the issue, which oddly enough carries the v1.0.3.0 version number, indicating RockStar might already be working on another patch.

I just checked the details of the no-cd launcher that I downloaded from the SecuROM support site and it says v0.1.0.3 and not v1.0.3.0. turn.gif

I hope they slip in anti-cheat in this patch.

Then there's no point left in the article. It's quite obvious that the next patch will be v1.0.3.0 and not v0.1.0.3 as the LaunchGTAIV.exe says.

Read the topics lying around and you'll see that all we have is rumours and speculation. This is not to deny the fact that R* are indeed working on a third patch. They just haven't given out any date yet, so when exactly the patch will be out is anyone's guess at the moment.

Patch is needed (for me)...

...for better camera behind car (no so "slow", when riding left/right)
...for possibility "append" RMB to "go forward" (key/mouse binding)

Without those is for me game unplayable... confused.gif

there are a few points they msut not forget:

. FIX THE f*ckING FREeZES TO HARD RESET
. MAKE SURE THE FIRST POINT WAS SOLVED
. WAIT UNTIL WENDNESDAY AND MAKE SURE GAME DOESN'T FREEZE
. PUT AN ANTI-FREEZING TO HARD RESET TWEAK
. ENABLE TWEAKS AGAIN SO GAME DOESN'T FREEZE ANYMORE
. FIX THE FREEZING PROBLEM

. more datable ppl on the net, i'd love to date an ugly chick just to kill her

...hotdog vendors, street signs, random clutter, waste containers, street works, benches, newspaper containers...

Yeah I know it hurts, the truth always does. devil.gif biggrin.gif

They better be working on a new patch, currently I'm stuck between a GTA IV with all the objects but bad performance (due to missing graphic settings) --> 1.0.1.0; or GTA IV with good performance but a ton of missing world details --> 1.0.2.0.

To be honest I don't think I'll play either of them in the next time. sad.gif

I dont understand why Rockstart is being so low key about it. They never said anything about the last patch.
I am sure they are sick of all the people complaining and trolling about how bad rockstart sucks. If they told us and kept us up to date I am sure if would make more of us more happy.
If they care about us why dont they give us updates on what their doing??

it is a matter of reputation, to admit that they are working on a new patch will be admitting that their game is broken, however after the release of the patch most of the people won't say a damn bad word about rockstar and will be just glad that they got a new patch.

For this you will have to wait to the next GTA, or to think that will be patch number six.

Because you, and some of the "fans" here are pretty much idiots.

My reason on why I'm saying this is because they (R*) said that GTA IV's support will not stop for a long time. So this means patches will be released, and when a new Grand Theft Auto episode is out, I'm pretty sure they'll continue this tradition and move on to that specific GTA. This makes it obvious that they will fix those bugs through patches.

IMO, it's not really important to know what they are working on. Simply because if they say something about which isn't currently confirmed (so it won't make it to the final patch, only to a later one), everyone is going to be f*cking crazy about it. smile.gif

Simply put, this is their strategy, which is a big enhancement if you look at GTA's of the past. They only released ONE patch which didn't solve every problem. But now, they are continuosly releasing these fixes.
