You are using an earlier version of the Mod, that version does not work in v1.0.3.0 GTA4. The latest version of the Mod is v1.31, on the previous page of this thread a kind person posted a link to a website where you can find the v1.31 Mod download.

trainer 3.4 can do all the same(except saving the cars and using money), but this beats it in presentation hands down.
i tested 1.1 on my 1.0.1 and it's awesome,but this mod itself doesn't suit GTA, it would be best used as a part of some tuner mod or GTA overhaul.

EDIT:
for what it is good at, you should make 2 things:
1. some dynamic lightsource(maybe bond to camera)
2. pay 'n' spray color scheme selector(for chosing from the colorsets available for each car, I don't want P'n'S to be more complicated than that)

Hehe Yeah I just like the money factor, and the saving cars anywhere is super awesome. I can get it working so it saves the cars if I drive far away and die or something, but as soon as I load the game, "poof" cars go missing. If I buy one car, load poof gone. If I buy 10 cars, 9 of them will go, but one will stay. It's so weird. I've been trying to fix it myself, but I simply don't have the ability. I'm pretty sure it's a vista thing, as the author has mentioned being an xp guy. drats. well if anyone can help me get these cars saved, I'd offer my services, I'm a 3d modeler, and I can provide help with a small project.

My thanks again for the great mod, and the community.

isn't it supposed to save car positions to a file after you save game? it would make sence that they aren't there if you just load a game.

everytime you leave the car (i.e. walk away), i think it saves it to your current state (i.e saved game); did you try saving it (your game) and giving a recheck whether the car was still there?

Tried read only thing, disabled every bit of security in vista, along with my antivirus, runing in admin mod. I give up.

Thank you again though, even without that save feature, it's still a great mod.

Hey I have a good idea! You should integrate your awesome mod into the Pay 'N Spray, with the interior of the Pay 'N Spray!
So if you go to the Pay 'N Spray, you will get your vehicle selector, in that Pay 'N Spray interior, just like the Transfender of SA!

Wow sweet mod Cobalt.
I was thinking, in order to make it more realistic, when you press the trigger key, you choose and mod and buy your vehicle just like the actual mod, but instead of getting it inmediately, you have to pick it up in some place... Like "your vehicle is ready, come pick it up whenever you want". Boats in docks, helis in a heliport, cars in grotti, stuff like that.
Just an idea. Best way to spend the money icon14.gif

I got a problem with that mod, beacuse when i starting game and pressing F4, nothing happends. Heres the log:

the development costs of this game were almost 100 million I heard, say you added 10% gamefun, you are worth your weight in gold ten times :-p

one unfortunate thing though; the game randomly spawns cars out of diverent categories as it seems, SUV's, saloons, expensive cars, vans, etc.. if you buy a car however, they will mostly spawn only that car in it's cartegory. I have a washington, feltzer, 2 motorcycles, a presidente, porsche, and 3 or 4 others, and now the game only spawns those cars 90% of the time.

does everyone have this problem? also, saving only gets ****ed up after you destroy one of your cars, if you buy 10 and never destroy them you won't have much trounle. deleting your vehicle save and rebuying the cars you want is the only way to get things right again it seems.

sh*t, you don't have saving bug!
1. What version of game you have (what's the latest patch you installed)
2. Where did you downloaded your Vehicle Selector? From the link from the first post, or where?
When I save my cars they are go after I load my game...even if a park them at parking lot in front of my crib..

I'm still working on the problem of saving.
It seems to me if you visit romans safe house in algonquin the cars disappear when you leave the area of the safe house.
(the one around the corner form the Grotti center)
The game seems to delete everything when you leave this area loaded cars included.
Try avoiding that safe house area and only save at other safe houses for now.

Hmmm, gotta try, I always saved cars at Bellics crib in Algonquin.

The only thing the latest one has is 1.0.3.0 compatibility. So it depends on the game version your using.

One really nice thing I added in an upcoming version is a blip system for cars that can be toggled.
All cars are displayed as blips on the map and have the same primary color as the car and if you hold the cursor over them you get the model name.
When the fixed save version is availabil ill post it here.

I love this mod, not only because it adds possibility to get the cars you want fast (lol, you can't find Infernus that fast) but it adds real way to spend money, and can be used as equipement on heavy action (gotta say, on police rampages, bullet proof tires are best thing for ya...)

for the guy asking; I downloaded it here and I use the 1.02 patch. don't autosave ofcourse, also I never park my cars in the traditional saving areas. once I destroyed a car and load, the destroyed car is back but another car (or number of cars) dissapeared, along with some strange locationchanges.

again, the second biggest problem for this mod is that if you buy a few cars, no other cars will spawn anymore. or am I the only one with this problem?

I havent had problems with cars no longer spawning, but the disappearing cars thing happens every time. Think its a vista issue.

Hey Co6alt! Thanks for this AWESOME mod! I always thought it was lame that Niko couldn't purchase any cars and literally HAD to steal them - this also makes money more useful. Anyway, I'm excited to see the next version when you are able to release it! Thanks again! colgate.gif

i cant get this to work, and i have trainers that work, maybe this dont work in 1.3?
