And I know why the Driveby cheat did not work ! I just found out, you need to be hated by the gang to have your gangmembers attack them. With hated I mean when the gang is following you with their gangcars and also doing drivebys on you.
Your gangmembers do the same thing then, but to all members of that gang, not only those, which chase you in their car !

Dang. But what if I took over all the empire businesses? I only see gangs driving around in their vehicles. Well I only see like one or two of them though and no drive-by is happening even though it's against the most hated gang which is Sharks. sad.gif

Yep, that`s the problem.
That`s what I was trying to say, if you took over all the empires you`re out of luck, because it only works while the gang is "onto you". What I mean is that your guys only do drivebys, when another gang is currently hating you so much, that they are constantly sending thei≠r cars after you to kill you. Unfortunately this doesn`t happen anymore, if you save your game after you took over all empire sites.
I`m sorry, but in this case you`re out of luck.

If you really want some driveby action, you should consider to download some halfway through savegame from gamefaqs !

Even the Cheatdevice has it`s limits !
(Or should I say, even I have my limits ? Because it`s probably just my lack of knowledge, Edison or R* would do it in a matter of minutes)

Amazing, just when I thought VCS hacking was dead, someone else has gone even further than I ever did.

I've been debating whether or not I should make a few new cheats for VCS, and after seeing this, I'm going to look back into it again.

Hey mate, you won`t believe how happy I am to see one of the former cheat developers back here after such a long time.
So please don`t offend him, ok. wink.gif

And by the way DDM made some really enjoyable cheats, and HE was the one who found the memory address which controls the player/ped AI ! Without this discovery most of my cheats would`ve not been possible, because back in the days when I started to create Cheatdevice cheats I had no idea how to use the capturing and cheatmaker functions to find things like that myself !
But I`ve learned those things while playing around with the cheatmaker stuff and looking at the other cheat developers work.

@Durka Durka Mahn I would really like to see you back at VCS hacking again !
Maybe we can work together with some stuff, I`m sure we both can come up with some amazing cheat ideas ! icon14.gif

You know what ? You`re good, where I`m weak and I`m good, where you`re weak.
To me this sounds like we could help each other. Would be great, because then I`m no longer the only one who knows how to create cheats around here !

If you feel like hacking VCS and you have the time to, why don`t you post here at the forums again, every now and then. icon14.gif

I have created a new cheat !

It`s freaking ZOMBIES coming after you !!! angry.gif angry.gif angry.gif

If you turn this cheat on Vice City will be turned into a ghost town (literarily).
Stay alert, because dangerous ghost like zombie peds will chase you through the hell, that was once a beautiful vacation spot !

Here`s a little advice from me, which might be helpful to you to save your live:

Watch for the bloody spots on the ground to see where the ghosts are hiding !

It`s only a beta version, I`ll make them deadlier and improve the whole thing a bit when the weekend finally started.

Here`s what I`m planning to include in the next version:

Burning zombies
Zombies which do not dissappear
Make them more deadlier, I thought of something like Vic slowly looses health when zombies touch him
And if you want I could increase the overall amount of blood in the game, both the blood on the ground and what comes out if you shoot them ! rampage_ani.gif

You`re talking about a free moveable camera, right ?

I know where the camera coords are stored in the memory, and it should be possible to ajust them using the Cheatdevice.

The only thing I`m worried about is, what happens to Vic if you move the camera away from him ?
He`ll still move around and you can`t see what he`s doing.

Maybe I could lock him at his current position while you activate the free camera ?
I thought of pressing a button combination to activate the freecam and freeze Vic and using the same combination again to return to normal gameplay.

I`ll see what I can do, but I`ll not promise anything, because I`ve never before tried to modify the camera and I`m not sure if I`m able to get it to work.
I guess I`ll just try and do my best. icon14.gif

There vis a lock camera cheat, but a moveable camera would be awesome if you were to make it.

I was not yet able to create a real moveable camera, because somehow the game immediately resets all the camera related things itself when I change them. I tried to make something like use the D-Pad to rotate the camera and use up/down, left/right to move it around, but when I pressed the buttons nothing happened, the camera stays at it`s original position...

There was a Top Down View cheat for VCS, I still have it somewhere in my cheatfiles.
I`ll try to find it again and take a look at it, maybe it helps me to adjust the camera !

If nothing helps I`ll just "simulate" a free camera by making Vic invisible and activating the Superman cheat by the press of a button. Then teleporting Vic back to his original position and deactivating the Superman cheat when pressing the button again.

I think that`s still better than nothing !

Dang, I believe there is already a code like that. Something even better than a free camera would be a code to change the draw distance, or at least on cars. In cinematic camera, your car, heli, etc. keeps turning into a very noticeable LOD at different camera angles.

After messing around with the ped pointers, which finally resulted in the Hitmen cheat I`ve now decided to take this even further !
I`ve created a bunch of funny little AI modifiers, which are all based on the Hitmen cheat.

They work just like the updated version of my Hitmen cheat did.
All you have to do is activate one of the following cheats and random peds around you will start to do the things you want them to by using the cheat.

Lol, I`m feeling like a god now !
All those stupid peds will do what I want them to ! devil.gif

EDIT: Here`s a major update !

The AI Hacks I just posted have a similiar problem to the Hitmen cheat !
They just randomly crash the game, but I found a workaround !

Here are the same cheats again, but this time not just one, but all peds on the screen will do what the cheat tells them to !
The cheat will turn off by itself now, so it does no longer lag ! Just press CROSS over the cheat you want to activate and all peds which are currently on the screen will be affected of it !
Then cheat then turns off by itself.
And more importantly these versions which affect all peds DO NOT CRASH !

Just wanted to let you know that I`ve updated the AI Hacks again:

By the way, just because I`m curious:
Some time ago, back in the days of Cheatsync you had created an online teleport portal cheat creating tool.
I doubt it does still exist, but just in case you could help me alot, if you let me know !

I have the portal cheat you created in my Cheatsync backup, but I want to create lots of portals to connect different interiors with each other and it just takes me forever if I have to edit the cheats all for myself...

All I did for that was I took a construction made using ADe's shape maker thing on CheatSync, took a few chunks out, then used a single if statement:

That was what I was looking for.
I`ll modify it to fit my needs and then I can just copy and paste it over and over again and only need to change the coordinates !

By the way:

x = getfloat(pobj+0x30); //Save the player's x coord
y = getfloat(pobj+0x34); //Save the player's y coord

You only get the x and y coordinates there !
I thought the z coordinate must be defined aswell... mercie_blink.gif

I thought, what happens if I create a portal INSIDE the Vice Point Mall interior, for example.
If I try to teleport to this portal inside the mall, how does the Cheatdevice know, that the portal is underneath the normal map ?
I guess it will teleport me onto the malls roof instead of inside, because the roof is located exactly over the mall interior...

Edit: Ah forget it, I think you probably wouldn`t post it like this if it was required, so I`ll just try it like this and see how it`s going to look ingame.

I`m sorry for letting you wait so long, but I was working on soo many other cheats at the moment that I simply forgot about this one. blush.gif
I`ve tried to make an ingame camera distance changer but the camera always restted itself and went back to the normal distance...

So I just made a bunch of distance changing cheats for you instead which you can also easily edit for yourself:

#cheat Adjust Camera Distance to 0
setfloat(0x8bc86c0, 0);
setfloat(0x8bc8684, 0);

#cheat Adjust Camera Distance to 2
setfloat(0x8bc86c0, 2);
setfloat(0x8bc8684, 2);

#cheat Adjust Camera Distance to 4
setfloat(0x8bc86c0, 4);
setfloat(0x8bc8684, 4);

#cheat Adjust Camera Distance to 6
setfloat(0x8bc86c0, 6);
setfloat(0x8bc8684, 6);

#cheat Adjust Camera Distance to 8
setfloat(0x8bc86c0, 8);
setfloat(0x8bc8684, 8);

#cheat Adjust Camera Distance to 10
setfloat(0x8bc86c0, 10);
setfloat(0x8bc8684, 10);

If you change the 0,2,4,6,8,10 from one of those cheats to any other number of your choice you can set the camera even more away from you !

Even negative numbers will work ! (Something like -15 for example)
But negative number will probably screw up the camera. tounge2.gif
I haven`t tried it, but I think the camera turns upside down if you set a negative number...
Oh and the higher the number you use is, the more does the camera zoom away from you !

The only thing I`m sorry about is that it does not affect the cinematic camera in cars...
It uses predefined angles and I have absolutely no clue on how to change them. confused.gif

Thanks man but I was thinking more along the lines of something that extends the draw distance (how far you have to be before the LODs draw in.) A draw distance changer coupled with a free cam would make it possible to get a map like this San Andreas map.

I was going to post it aswell, when I saw the San Andreas maps, but you were faster mate ! sly.gif
It works well, if you want to take screenshots of the city from above.
The only problem is, that it won`t stay in this topdown view...

The camera slowly returns to normal, when you try to take pictures.

There`s another similiar cheat by the way, it`s also from Vettefan:

You could, just make another variable called z and dz, only you would need to add
CODE
&& abs(dz) < 5.0

to the if statement.
