i love the shotguns and assault rifles but the pistols (especially the default glock) and the SMGs and oi vey - the sniper rifles sound too weak.

has anyone discovered a way to replace the sounds with something with more oomph?

R* could learn something from ubisoft in this regard.

I'd like to know aswell, I really like exchanging weapon sounds in games for heavier more realistic ones, and I think GTA IV could definitely need some new ones. smile.gif

Grimm from another GTA site did a sick weapons pack from SA. Maybe we can count him in for IV.

I believe this included not just texture revamps, but sound as well.

grimm was the ownzor in GTASA weapons, and there were many packs, not one, sometimes a pack of different variations of same weapon.

Well, unfortunately, There is not as of yet a way to export or import sounds from GTA IV. You can view the directories with OpenIV, but nothing can be done just yet. It took a while for people to crack the GTA SA audio format, so I guess it will be the same for IV. It's kinda like a game! smile.gif

I'm hoping it will be possible to change the sounds eventually, I would really like to replace the weapon sounds with more realistic ones.
