[Q] Increased Traffic?

Hey guys. I was wondering if anybody remembered the mod which increased the traffic in game from a few weeks ago? I've been trying to find it for a few hours now with no luck. Could any body explain how i could increase the traffic myself? Or better yet, provide me with a link to the original mod?

Eh, you can set traffic in the options menu.
Setting it to 100 gives you LOTS of traffic, do you want more? ph34r.gif

I recall somebody posting that they edited files and doubled the amount of peds and vehicles. I looked through the 5 pages in this section, but did not find the post. Sorry, good luck.

@ Peds you can modify the amount of peds on the street... cars -> cars.. etc.
At a density of 80 on the street, you will have nearly original NY traffic! OO
If've modded the traffic for Star Junction and Triangle... 14fps left... but there were cars everywhere you look^^
And its possible you set singl value for different daytime, monday-friday and weekend.

Also you can edit the police around the zone you mod.
100 at police and gangs... very bad day for peds^^

Yes I made a mod in popcycle.dat to make the city empty and it worked, so you can make the city full of cars too increasing the numbers.

i dont understand what each row means. they are not aligned with the text.

can anyone explain exacly what each line is refering to? i added numbers so it will be easy to explain:

second question -

1) You could just align them right? A couple spaces more or less shouldn't be a problem...
2) Most lines look very similar, try to be creative with your editor's Replace All function.

1) that doesnt make sense. this means that there are twice as more parked cars than cars. does that make sense?

2) that doesnt help much. i can set to replace all "12" values into something like "50" or something but there are very few "12" values so very little will change....
it just seems like a lot of work and i thought that maybe there is a way to edit vertical lines and not just horizontal ones.

3) can u guess what are the vertical 75 and 25 rows mean? row numbers 9 and 10.


p.s. - if i remember currectly u cant set the numbers to over 200. cant remember what happens over 200 but i think i remember u cant.

for the values to lign up in all the data files you need to use Lucida Console on size 10.

what this means is the folowing:

#peds
15 24:00 -2:00
15 2:00 - 4:00
15 4:00 - 6:00
15 etc..

this is daytime from 8:00-20:00, where peds are going to work etc, thus more are generated at these times

look at the gangs for example (G_Bik2 and G_Afro), they are more active during the night because theyre selling drugs at that time

also, to edit along vertical rows you could use windows excel i think, ive never used it though.

I made everything 0 exept for Peds (500) and prkedcars (100)

but i still get cops... am i doing something wrong?

what file do I need to edit to make a complete gridlock during 6-10 am (0600-1000) and 4-7 pm (1600-1900)?
And I mean packed with parked cars and a sh*t load of cars with almost no movement?
And also make 24hours(gametime)=24hours(realtime).

just edit the file they mentioned above so that you have

(this many cars)--(in this location)--(at this time)

and just fill out the rest (Copy and paste)

maybe you cant disable cops this way, you could use the LUA script somewhere around here for never wanted, if its that what you want

this isnt the one i was remembering, there seems to be more than one script but i just stumbled across this one, if it doesnt work you can look for the other one
