i have very good recordings in wav format of a 5.0L mustang i wanted to try replacing sounds but i cant figure it out, if someone could show me how to do it i could test them out make a vid and release the sound effects if anyone is interested and knows how to help, thank you!! i know where everything is located ive heard the sound effects with openiv i just havent figured out how to replace files

I have every soundclip to make a profile for a KenneBell Cobra Mustang, all the sounds are there;
ENG_IDLE_LOOP (with blower idle)
ENGINE_HIGH (with blower whine)
ENGINE_LOW
EX_IDLE_LOOP
EXHAUST_HIGH
EXHAUST_LOW
REVS_OFF (with backsass)
START_DIST (with 2k clutch dump)

the car is an 04 with 4.6L 3v V8 features a 2.2L KenneBell supercharger, Bassani X-Pipe and Borla Stinger Exhaust

they all sound great but i cant test them in the game, they mimic the orignal sounds pretty good only better quality and very realistic sounds...first-hand source

When im trying to turn on OpenIV it crashing, heres the error signature:
CODE

When im trying to turn on SparkIV, is same but other error signature:

Please add the sound edit functions to your OpenIV and it would be incredible also against Spark!

OK, I've looked through this thread and I have two small questions

1) Is it possible to edit the .sco files? (I'm assuming not since there doesn't appear to be an assembler/compiler)
2) Is it possible to export and decompile all the scrips in one go and have one or multiple text field saved containing the code? (again, I'm assuming not, but hell, it's always better to ask)

Lol I've got a major problem with opening files. Opening everything except the data folder works fine but when I try and open the data folder the program just stalls, stops responding for a while and then just sits there with data highlighted. I know this might have something to do with the size of the folder but can anyone tell me how to get around this problem? Good job on the program btw it's awesome. icon14.gif icon14.gif

I've the same problem wink.gif hope next version will be released soon (and hope SparkIV will have level editing function.. )

What are the requirements to get all of this to work. I read that I have to "flash" my disc drive and what not. Can someone walk me through all of this please? Thanks.

Hi, does anyone know where Niko's interior/exterior safehouse textures are located? I've looked in the pc>data>maps>interiors section and couldn't find it, but, I may have overlooked it. Do any of you guys know where they are??? Please help me!

Im getting a error message when I press "open content"..

Error occured while opening file

openIV can not work because important information wasn't obtained from the GTAIV.exe
Please, set correct path to the GTAIV.exe in the OpenIV settings.

Got gta over steam. Vista 64bit

I seems that OpenIV is unable to change the levels on texture files in a .img file.
However, found a workaround for this bug.

1. I open the .img file using SparkIV to export the .wtd file to a folder (doesn't matter witch)
2. Import it using SparkIV to a .rpf file (I used the a copied playerped.rpf, not the original one)
3. Open the copied file.rpf using OpenIV
4. Change the level on the texture you want
5. Export it and import it using SparkIV (the same as in step 2 and 3)

I had to do this when I edited a texture on a car.


I'm sorry if this is already figured out, I didn't have time to read through all the pages.

DOes this work with the xbox? If not, can someone post a link to the version that can open xbox images? No need to save and such, i only need to open one pic. Heck, even exporting isn't needed.

i got GTA IV today for the PC and i wanted to apply some mods for fun.
so i downloaded OPENIV and it asks for the destination of GTAIVE.exe, but i cant seem to find that anywhere at all.

any help please??

LOL you need to know where you installed GTA IV lol.gif
Go to the GTA IV Directory and choose the GTAIV.exe icon14.gif
