I formated my pc yesterday and today I tried to install OpenIV, and it asked me to download direct X. I click "Yes" and the installer closes itself. It doesn't download anything. In older versions it was all ok, and I could download Direct X using the OpenIV installer.

Any solution for this?

First of all, can you please upload your install log, it is located here:
C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\Local\Temp\OpenIV_Setup_Install.log

Second, you can download DirectX from Microsoft website here http://www.microsoft...ails.aspx?id=35 and then try to install OpenIV again.

Is it me , or the drag and drop doesn't work anymore

It must work, just checked it on my computer at work and it works fine.

OpenIV 2.0 for Grand Theft Auto V

Today we are proud to announce OpenIV 2.0 release with Grand Theft Auto V support. OpenIV 2.0 allows you to open and view common GTA V files like archives, textures, collisions and some types of visual models. In addition, you able to use powerful OpenIV Audio player to listen great GTA V sounds and music files. Currently OpenIV supports Xbox 360 and ps3 versions of GTA V with some differences in available features, but it is just a first public release of OpenIV with GTA V support, you can expect more features for GTA V in future releases. Full change log will be available here a little bit later. Please read important note about encryption keys below.

Grand Theft Auto V Encryption keys for Xbox 360 and ps3 versions
The encryption keys are not included in OpenIV. You must place encryption_key.bin file into you game directory. OpenIV will search encryption key in encryption_key.bin file, the encryption key must be in binary format.

enc_key.png

The encryption key can be extracted from default.xex on Xbox 360 or EBOOT.BIN on ps3, also you can find encryption keys somewhere in the Internet. The encryption key is different for each platform.

Wow man this is incredible.  Can you tell how much difference there is between IV model and V model? How hard it is to port V vehicles into IV using openformat feature? How many modifications need to be done?

What can I do when I see this?

My encryption key is proper and works with other tools for RPF editing.

Edit. Nevermind, I've solved that.

Thank you. Few questions:

1. Why the sudden change of heart?

2. Are you working on CDR/CDD support?

3. Are #MT files being looked into?

4. Will you be adding ability to import files into rpfs, or edit files in them?

5. Will you be adding ability to import textures into #DR files.

Aww, no implementation of native MP3 export for the PS3 versions? :p Anyway great to see you're allowing other people poke around the console files.

2. Are you working on CDR/CDD support?

Yes, but PS3 version uses edge framework for geometries and it quite complicated to convert it to workable view.
Currently, I'm not sure that PS3 models support will be finished anytime soon.

3. Are #MT files being looked into?

Yep, they are researched but we still need time to implement support in OpenIV.

4. Will you be adding ability to import files into rpfs, or edit files in them?

Maybe one day in future.

5. Will you be adding ability to import textures into #DR files.

Currently, I can't promise any resource editing for consoles because it is not so easily as at PC platform.

You see, that is because OpenIV is universal tool and we must make universal solutions for all games and platforms.

I did rename the .dat. It didn't work at first but I renamed it again and it worked. Strange.

That's what I keep getting. My encryption_key.bin should be right.

gWjHdtJ.jpg

This was what I did:

Used Dageron's key extractor to get the key from the xex, opened the .dat, saved it as encryption_key.bin, and put it in the V folder.

Are you implementing drawable object viewer for the PS3 version? I got the PS3 version working and I really want to explore the models. Keep up the good work!

Why you open .dat file? Just rename it to encryption_key.bin.

In your case, OpenIV finds encryption_key.bin in game folder but OpenIV can't find proper key and you see this dialog. Also, do not forget, key are different for each platform.

I can't promise this. Yes, we work on PS3 models sometimes but they are much more complicated than xbox/PC models.

I need to get the XBOX 360 version then. I wasn't expecting the model viewer to be available so soon anyway. Nice work! Thanks!

EDIT: I got the XBOX 360 version working. Can you please tell me where can I find the "_citye" folder? Do I need to somehow convert those files in the "content" folder?

@RaduG

you can use global search feature to find what you want (Tools->Global search)

to extract the contents of the "content" folder  you can use a tool such as wxPirs

Thanks! I know about the global search, I use it all the time, but I didn't know how to extract those files.
