We still don't have an announcement of a PC GTAV at this point, so it could be anywhere from 3 to 6 Months after the initial release, that's a good few months where people will be looking at you pissed off because you're already playing with the files and seeing all this cool stuff but you're blocking us with a "Oh no no, we can't share this, we don't support Console Hacking!"
I can't share a tool, but I can share some files.
QUOTE (Ash_735 @ Saturday, May 11 2013, 22:30)
even though Console hacking is already rife WITHOUT your tool.
So, what do you want from me? If this is already achieved without me.

QUOTE (GTARandom @ Saturday, May 11 2013, 22:37)
Don't show stuff you cannot share with us, you just do it to get views.
If you don't want to watch out progress, don't do it, but maybe others people want to know the full story.

DATA File hacking is rife, stuff like viewing textures and hearing Audio isn't, that's what you little special OpenIV build can do, even though it would have very little impact on Multiplayer. It's like you're punishing us who want to do things with the audio and textures because of jerks who use spawners online, it's crap!

I do support the project, you've done amazing things, but that's one area I always hated the way you keep this superior build hidden away from the public for such a rubbish reason.

Blame encryption for that. The probable reason why data hacks on consoles are prevalent is that they have the key with them. Good-NTS elected on just reading the keys from the binaries as keeping a copy of it on OpenIV would put him in legal heat.

I understand you don't want to share these tools with cheaters, but could you consider sharing some audio with us? The interactive music sounds so awesome. I bought the soundtrack for RDR, but it didn't come with any of that.

Have you gotten it working with Undead Nightmare too?

People think our .black builds can do anything for consoles games just like OpenIV. But this is not true, other games do not have even a half of all GTAIV-PC features. For example, RDR Audio, it was done a two day ago, before this time we also don't had this feature for any of consoles game.

And yes, cheaters in Multiplayer this is also a reason to not release anything console related. For example, some of people thinks GTAIV cheaters on xbox and ps3 this is my fault.

Also big reason why we can't release .black it because of XBOX SDK parts in it. We use some stuff from it. And you know Microsoft do not like when it shared. And of course all this stuff with encryption keys.

In other words, non-disclosure agreements. The SDK for the original Xbox was leaked, and while it was exploitable for homebrewers it did put them in a gray-to-black area since it wasn't supposed to be publicly available.

How about researching L.A. Noire?
Maybe it is a stupid idea, but I'm only thinking out loud.

LA Noire is not a RAGE engine game. All the data is completely different and doesn't belong in a program like 'OpenIV'.

Improved Installer and OpenIV 1.4 update.

Yesterday we are released new version of OpenIV and Installer.
This update must fix issues with downloading data from OpenIV sites.
And like always fix some small issues.

Hi Good , there's a problem with the global search . when i search for an object with the global search , then when i click on an object the archive opens but the object does not stay highlighted . it's problematic when the archive has dozen of objects . we have to click again on the object in the global search to get the object highlighted in archive

edit : a feature of finding objects in placement search using their hashes would be cool . i know in which wpl my object is , but don't know where it is inside coz only the hash is given

Ive always wanted to have a portable presetup copy of openIV to put a usb stick but you cant set the gtaiv.exe as a relative location for example say you put the gtaiv under games/iv you cant put the path games/iv it has to be like C:/users/Username/appdata/local/newtechnolagies/openiv/games/iv, i thought maybe you could use a placeholder like %userprofile%\appdata\local\temp then have it dump gtaiv.exe and eflc.exe into the temp folder via a silent installer. but if i set the gtaiv.exe path to %userprofile%\appdata\local\temp it instanly changes it to its local address being C:/users/Username/appdata/local/temp which then fails on another machine if the username is different. i tried changing the path in the core to to games/iv/gtaiv.exe which it accepts on the screen but then loops when you press continue. so is there anyway to do this, to have a portable copy where i dont have to locate the path everytime. or could you set it to not resolve paths and just save the path as a relative path such as the one above.

Ok, it will be fixed in next release.

I think it is possible to do.

You can't have portable version of OpenIV because it will not run without proper installation in specific folder.

Max Payne 3 (GTA V) support, improve tools, more tools, more openFormats, more Modern/Metro UI.

Could you please enable Aero in Open IV? Only for Windows Vista or 7 users, because in Windows 7 it doesnt have borders, and the only thing you see is the caracters. So it's kinda dificult to see what is writen.

When I click "Export all textures", thats what appears, no borders.

Is there anyone who's actually working on 3ds max scripts that could import/export the animation openformats? And what do you mean when you say you make the animations in manual mode?

It is not related with Aero at all. Just a random bug in OpenIV UI rendering.
What video card do you have?

Here is steps:
1 - Make a specific model with correct part names and properties.
2 - Animate model in 3Ds Max (I've use some add-ons for it)
3 - Export animation data to text, by using small hand-made script (You can see it here: http://pastebin.com/ua0WRjw5 )
4 - Using my OpenIV/openFormats code to convert animation data to specific .onim animations.
5 - Import oad/onim

All this steps (expect last one) was made exactly for specific model/animation and need be redone for new animations.

Yeah, I think so. I can't even export, it gives me the same error over and over (Unable to convert: undefined to type: FileName)
